It is gonna replace whatever is they standard "roman_gladius" in that mod, but you must make sure that this mod loads first, if need be by renaming the .pack with more "@@@@" in front.

does it work the the extravaganza armor mod the one that goes with vanilla the Caesar because i saw they said they change the swords and was wondering if this works with it or if it like is gonna mess up all swords or maybe half and half or it just not working

I have finally gotten animations OUT of Total War games, so people can edit them and put them back in the game My program RigidModel Editor 1.0, that can do those things will be released as soon as correct the last few bugs. It can do lots of thingd, including drawing the models with textures, lighting normal mapping, so they look like in-game.

You have to switch the vanilla Campaign Cam mod off, when you use this, because the vanille one can change the behaviour of DeI in a bad way. That is why is made a special mode for DeI.

Ciridian : Thanks :) It is actually the vanilla model, Celticus retextured is with a fancy 3d program, and i looked really good, Celticus is very good at doing textures, BUT the 3d program uses another mechanism for metal shine, so I retextured the blade with a 2d graphics program, so it shines more :)

Updated camera mods, adjusted battle camera and fixed campaign camera


The campaign camera mod has been updated so it works without any issues for the following campaigns:

- Grand Campaign
- Imperator Augustus
- Cæsar in Gaul
- Empire Divided
- Rise of The Republic

The battle mod camera mod has adjusted so the the movement and rotation speed fits better with the longer range, and min/max height is also slightly adjusted.

I would like a DEI version but maybe add model differences between types of units? This shiny sexy gladius on better units and a old grimey one on lesser units?

If there is not such thing as 'main gladius', then change like 1/2 of the gladius at all for your version, so it would show way more than just 1 in 10 you know what i mean. But I really recommend making more editions.

Its ful title is Rusted Pack File Manager, it is a more advanced version of and older program, Pack File Manager (which is think is being updated again). You use it to manipulate game data files, that then become the mods themselves.

Well, for modding in general or for changing code or graphics?
Just for the getting the changed files into the game you need either Rusted Pack File Manager (RPFM) or just Pack File Manager (PFM), and then for graphics you can use GIMP (like I do) or photoshop, and for 3d stuff there is 3ds Max and Substance Painter. There is a bit more to it, but that is the basics.

I have made a new Total War modding tool (in C++):

It can edit texture files names and internal folders, tasks that normally require a hex editor and a LOT of patience.With this tool you can change textures for models very quickly.

Yes, this type of mod you can just turn on and off. That is because it just replaces some textures and a model, so it does not have any influence on game mechanics and thus not on save games.

elliot : That "conditional shine" you propose is actually quite complicated, much much more complicated than just replacing the textures for factions.

I want a mod that makes your shields, armor and swords shinny only when you have an iron workshop. If the faction isn't producing better equipment with better steal, than why should it shine. I never paid attention to the iron resource, or any resource until after playing Rome 2 for 6 years. Now I realize how realistic it is to have that resource and how fun it is to see the bonuses of controlling that resource.
