I think the Downfall standalone Steam Version does not support adding more mods.

What you can do is subscribe to the Downfall mod here in the workshop and start your normal Slay the Spire with the Option Play with Mods.

You need to set a checkmark next to BaseMod, StsLib, SuperFastmode and Downfall (and any other mods you want to use)

how do you install this mod for Downfall, it says subscribed but nothing happens or appears

Hi Irrational, I suspect that it might be that they use some custom animation code. I might be able to fix it. I will have a look.

Not sure what makes this mod special, but the character animations in "The Tiny Master of Evil Veigar - Revamped" are sped up, making them look silly when played at 3x speed.

I play on 500% faster speed and I play with a fair number of mods (120) so it's probably a conflict.

But I just deactivated the mod option "Make actions instant" where it says it could make things "appear choppy". And the card lag is gone. I guess it was that. Game version is V2.3.4 (12-18-2022). I'm playing on Windows 11 Pro.

Don't worry. It's probably just my computer because nobody else has the problem.

Which platform are you running on (Windows, Linux, Steam Deck?)
What is displayed in the top right of your game (Slay the Spire Version Number and Date)

@Skrelpoid Yes, quite a few. But even if I disable all but BaseMod and your mod, it's laggy. As soon as I deactivate yours, the lag is gone. It's not horrible, it's just a very noticeable "lagginess" of the cards.

Hey, is "normal speed" the actual normal speed of the default game or the normal speed of default fast mode? Just want to be sure. It defaults to 200% but I'm not sure if that is just default fast mode or this mod just defaults to making fast mode faster.

This mod breaks certain other mods. For example, a lot of "choice" cards won't work, such as the ones from the octopus and problem sleuth mod.

I'll add that disabling the mod's speed effects (not necessarily disabling the mod itself through a restart) does solve the problem

I can't explain when or why this happens, but I seem to be losing cards between fights when playing on 1000% speed. I'll reach the end of the level and realize a card i rely on mysteriously isn't in my deck

@rjr619 You could try to increase the multiplier in the property file of my mod but from my experience that barely speeds it up. There's also a version called noux on my github that's made for bots with many user experience stuff turned off, but beware, it may be flickering and trigger photosensitive people.

Is there any possible way to make it even faster? I'm currently on floor 700ish with a storm deck and the animations take so damn long even with this.

@DJDiceZ You can turn this off, you have to uncheck "Make some actions instant" in the mods > SuperFastMode > Config

For some reasons using this mod seems to make it so some animations are straight up deleted instead of sped up. If it's intended, it's kinda meh.

Eg: Drawing cards, using them, etc.

i came to the workshop praying that someone did this mod after playing defect with 100 storms triggering on power use its getting really strenuous.

Found an interesting bug related to relic Cracked Hourglass from Hubris mod (Gain 1 energy. If any battle takes longer than 3minutes you die.) The time on that relic ticks faster according to the speed in settings. I lost the first battle in 30seconds :)
