actually, i might've forgotten, or i just didn't know that you could do that
witered feddy fazbender 19 May @ 5:59pm
honestly didn't even know how to change the visors, many thanks
Worm Knight 7 May @ 2:39pm
I pointed out the exact same thing 5 years ago
Hel's Angel 23 Mar, 2023 @ 8:25pm
too much work maybe ?
Vegeta002 26 Aug, 2022 @ 4:00am
You know, I kinda wonder why the creator abandoned visor customisation entirely instead of linking visor colour to the tattoo colour.

Seems like something that would both solve the problems AND give far greater colour options.
Worm Knight 29 Apr, 2022 @ 9:10am
Because gold is default only in halo 3, these armos come from Halo Reach in wich the default visor color was that ugly cream.
RomRojal 29 Apr, 2022 @ 8:56am
I know this is an old mod (a very good mod but still an old one) but I want to ask, why instead of the default golden orange instead it uses a cream color for the visor, was it a script issue?
Attacan Nykos 6 Sep, 2021 @ 4:03pm
I understand this is an old mod (meaning its not been touched in almost three years) but is there any possibility to add in the custom male armors onto the females? ie: jorge and emile's shoulders and jorge's chest. Or at the very least, does anyone know of a mod somewhere that can do this?
Knux-Lux 9 Aug, 2021 @ 5:41pm
Why are the visor's cream color instead of Golden?
Delta-118 15 Nov, 2020 @ 9:36am
Would it be possible to attach visor color to something like eye or tattoo color in the same way the space marine mod did?
Sweet&Simple 27 May, 2020 @ 7:48pm
Has anyone else had issues getting the mod to work on WOTC? i just downloaded it and it works in Base but not in recent WOTC. any assistance is much appreciated
Keenan13 24 May, 2020 @ 7:26pm
thank you so much for this, now i can start my halo-com campaign!
Eternal 18 May, 2020 @ 6:07pm
Thank you for doing this. I'm not sure if I have the project files anymore but if I ever have the time I might try and do the scriptless version of the mod with helmets having different (static) visor colors based on what players might usually prefer. (E.g.: Mk. V would have Golden Visor, ODST a dark blue, etc.)

The main issue with XCOM Modding and why I stopped is the humongous amount of space the SDK takes up. It's seriously annoying.
Slayer0fKings 18 May, 2020 @ 12:32am
I noticed that if you use anything other than the default customization like All parts all soldiers or anything that lets you customize every part of a soldier you lose the visor colors anyhow so this is a better option I am hoping there's a way somehow to restore colors.
Phat-Budu 15 May, 2020 @ 12:10am
Anyone got a character pool bin file where they made noble team that i could have please? been trying to make them in game but i dont think ive been making them look right lol
Sawtooth44 25 Apr, 2020 @ 3:18am
or kongrio
we could just remove the visors from the helmets and put them in upper or lower head props as i dont think spartans have anything in those slots

also adds the option of having cracked (final look of Noble Six's helmet) or fully smashed visors
I LOVE GOD 14 Apr, 2020 @ 1:46am
Good Idea @King Kongrio
Worm Knight 25 Mar, 2020 @ 5:44am
Oh boy, its time For my own dumb suggestions.
First thank you for this.
Could it be possible to link the visor color to something else? in the mod "Armours of the imperium" the color of the eyes (more like visor in the shape of eyes) in the helmets is dictated by the color of the eyes of the soldier, when in use with one million colors it basically gives you all the customization you need.
HotelCharliHill 24 Mar, 2020 @ 11:31pm
No conflicts in AML yet.. NICE.
DommyMothy 28 Dec, 2019 @ 12:48am
@Veehementia
Hi OP: When you worked on this did you notice if the visor color/glass was a separate texture from the rest of the helmet?

I'd like to replace this mod's visor with Baseline MJOLNIR's metallic gold visors.
Common Henchman 26 Dec, 2019 @ 10:19am
@Veehementia I love this mod so much, its kinda a neccesity when I play XCom now, I had a suggestion (keep in mind I've never modded so I don't know how difficult this would be) but would just having the helmets with their respective visor colors and attachments be on the list of helmets you can choose be easier than scripting a selection script that always checks for what helmet has what visor?

Like Having for example

Pilot Helmet Default Visor
Pilot Helmet Default Visor Attachment 1
Pilot Helmet Default Visor Attachment 2
Pilot Helmet Blue Visor
Pilot Helmet Blue Visor Attachment 1
(and so on?)
Greynir 15 Jun, 2019 @ 3:36am
@Veehementia Have you tried linking the Visor to Tattoo colours? I mean, Spartans don't have tattoos showing so why not give that a shot?
ODSTbag337 29 May, 2019 @ 2:11pm

No Mic Tweetus 18 May, 2019 @ 3:10pm
You may want to look at it.
Veehementia  [author] 16 May, 2019 @ 10:08am
@Göptürk I don't know as I don't use it, but I see no reason as to why it wouldn't.
No Mic Tweetus 16 May, 2019 @ 9:59am
Is this compatible with the superheavy armor mod?
StarJoe 5 May, 2019 @ 4:13pm
Ahh no worries then. Thank you for taking the time to reply! ^^
Veehementia  [author] 5 May, 2019 @ 12:21pm
@StarJoe nope, sorry.
StarJoe 5 May, 2019 @ 12:17pm
If anything, would it be possible to have variants of the helmets for noble team that have their respective visor color?
Albino Blacky 30 Jan, 2019 @ 8:02am
Thanks guys, gonna start a new playthrough soon, :)
Lauren Lore 29 Jan, 2019 @ 1:55pm
@Avatarx2002 XCom2 lost my interest and i have a lot of heavy workload within my own game that im on a team for.

@Albino Blacky Just delete BOTH mods manually and make sure both are unsubscribbed. Then resub to this one
Veehementia  [author] 29 Jan, 2019 @ 7:02am
@Albino Black dunno man. Try re-subbing after deleting the original.
Albino Blacky 29 Jan, 2019 @ 4:06am
Im not sure what I did wrong, but this only downloaded like 300kb+. Does it not download if I have the original?
Avatarx 19 Jan, 2019 @ 9:39am
@Nigel why did you quit modding?
Lauren Lore 12 Jan, 2019 @ 3:28am
Visor color through armor secondary is something i explored and overall it wasnt that great. Mainly due to having the secondary colors match the visor it made it look odd. Something i never investiaged far enough was tying visor color to eye color as that was something i never got around to before i quit modding for XCom2. Could be worth asking some of the still active modders if theyve figured that one out yet.
☠Мрачный Типϟ 8 Jan, 2019 @ 7:09am
thx you man) :xcom2grenadier:
Nocturne 7 Jan, 2019 @ 10:43pm
could it be scripted to be tied to the eye/hair color similar to Dimdim's 40k mod?
Veehementia  [author] 7 Jan, 2019 @ 9:21pm
There is no different mean. Speaking hypothetically, it could be linked to the the armor secondary color, but then you'd have to be forced to have the same armor secondary color and visor color. But I personally don't know how to do that, and the result would be subpar. The script Eternal made were a brilliant idea but game limitations make them difficult to use.
Nocturne 7 Jan, 2019 @ 8:08pm
love the mod great work! any plans to reintegrate the visor through a different means?
Athreon 7 Jan, 2019 @ 2:32pm
Holy cow, I had given up on this. You are a worker of miracles, my friend. Amazing work.
Veehementia  [author] 7 Jan, 2019 @ 4:15am
@marshmellow justice No, you shouldn't. I certainly didn't.
marshmallow justice 7 Jan, 2019 @ 3:47am
@Veehementia I don't have to do all that fussy deleting config files in my documents for this right? I just unsubbed to it & subbed to this just a moment ago.
Veehementia  [author] 7 Jan, 2019 @ 3:07am
You should be able to uninstall and reinstall safely- in my case, I didn't even have to redo my characters, the game automatically picked this up as it picked the original.
marshmallow justice 7 Jan, 2019 @ 2:24am
can i safely uninstall the old one and then install this one mid-campaign then? would it screw things up?

to be honest i don't notice a difference.... that said, I haven't played X2 without uninstalling that old mod. Is the performance hit really that big? I've been running New Promo Screen and Squad Select and the Halo mod together for ages.
Veehementia  [author] 6 Jan, 2019 @ 5:16pm
They are not game-breaking incompatibilies per se, but they do result in a significantly less smooth experience, especially framerate-wise.
Veehementia  [author] 6 Jan, 2019 @ 5:16pm
@Delta-118 Check the original mod's description - the issue with New Promotion Screen by Default is written in the first few lines. If you use the alternative mod launcher, you'll also see that both Robojumper's Squad Select and the mod use the UCScreenListener, creating another conflict.
Delta-118 6 Jan, 2019 @ 5:08pm
Wait; I didn't know about any of these compatibility issues.
Savar Belmont 6 Jan, 2019 @ 2:20pm
arigato!
Veehementia  [author] 6 Jan, 2019 @ 11:56am
@Crescent Wolven Vee The Builder. Can we fix it? Yes we can!
God Eating Crayon 5 Jan, 2019 @ 11:17pm
We got a legend here folks! What does he do I hear you asking? He fixes shit, he fixes shit to the point where it goes from gold to platinum.
