Perhaps with the power of AI or sometthing. I couldnt mod anything so Im not asking thinking its possible, just that it would make this already great mod better :)
The Mod In Question Is:
"Tomatekh's Historical Religions" Since It Has The Religion, Dreamtime
If Added, Thank You
Thank you
As a (non indigenous) Australian I appreciate that this part of Australian history & culture is represented.
Some thoughts for potential balance type updates to the civ:
- nerf the appeal bonuses. Too much stacking! It's not quite OP, but it's unnecessary.
- appeal based combat bonus for all units? Or all melee units? This would be on par with Japan or Spain, and give an extra 'dimension' for the civ (and a defensive bonus!)
- something weird like recon promo tree for all units? (I don't think I upgraded my unique units to see what happens...)
- could the warrior unit be a 1 range spearman, maybe like the Persian unit: combat strength higher than ranged strength?
- unique improvement to get culture, or at least tourism, that scales with appeal. It was super sad to replace them all with seaside resorts.
The mod seems to be working fine, it loads into the game and I tested some functions, doesn't appear to be particularly broken. Which exact part do you find outdated, so I may look into it?
:(
Need update.
Only thing I would say is their ability doesn't seem to work with wonders that provide Great People points. I understand doubling these might be a bit powerful, so maybe they could add + 1 to those?
Either way, will be checking out the rest of your civs. Thanks for the absolutely awesome work!
Just adding that I don't seem to be getting the bonuses from charming tiles on anything but the Wiltja. No housing on cities founded on charming, and no Warmala bonus for fighting on charming. I still get them from Breathtaking, but don't seem to from charming...
In Gathering Storm, the Warmala will upgrade into the Skirmisher instead, with perhaps a small buff to compensate.
Not sure if it's intended, but the Warmala's upgrade to swordsmen, with all the previous scout talents, and an empty warrior talent tre to start investing into.
My Warmala units had movement bonuses, and +20 in combat, which when upgraded to swordsmen, made them the best units around :)
Next game, I'm going to max several Warmalas, to get the stealth perk, and have steath melee combat units throughout the ages.
Basically, imagine that all the water on the map is trying to be both blue and brown. Honestly, I'm thinking 1 of 2 things: i'm running on terrible hardware, and it causes the error just for this civ or there's something happening with the civ banner color. I did see if settling a city or other things helped, unfortunately it didn't. I do really like the civ though!
And if you don't hear any music, it's probably because you don't have the Australia DLC installed/activated.
On topic I don't seem to hear any music playing, but it could be something other than the mod.
