Thank you very much for your indigenous civs! They're great to play with.

This is a great mod and a good civ! any chance you're able to map his design onto some movement so it feels a bit more alive like the AI.

Perhaps with the power of AI or sometthing. I couldnt mod anything so Im not asking thinking its possible, just that it would make this already great mod better :)

As An Australian (Not Native F.Y.I.) I Feel Respected About Atleast Some Of The Native's History And Culture Is In Civ. VI, But I Have An Mod I Feel Like Should Be Supported To This Mod,
The Mod In Question Is:
"Tomatekh's Historical Religions" Since It Has The Religion, Dreamtime
If Added, Thank You

hi "Durkle" I need to add your civilization in the true start location in the TOTALSLACKER "Play The World" map, I need to know your database, for example to add a GEDEMO civilization in the map its is ""CIVILIZATION_GEDEMO_TIMURID" in your case : "CIVILIZATION_......._Anangu"

Thank you

Thank you very much for making this awesome civ!

As a (non indigenous) Australian I appreciate that this part of Australian history & culture is represented.

Some thoughts for potential balance type updates to the civ:

- nerf the appeal bonuses. Too much stacking! It's not quite OP, but it's unnecessary.
- appeal based combat bonus for all units? Or all melee units? This would be on par with Japan or Spain, and give an extra 'dimension' for the civ (and a defensive bonus!)
- something weird like recon promo tree for all units? (I don't think I upgraded my unique units to see what happens...)
- could the warrior unit be a 1 range spearman, maybe like the Persian unit: combat strength higher than ranged strength?
- unique improvement to get culture, or at least tourism, that scales with appeal. It was super sad to replace them all with seaside resorts.

In earth map true start locations, it starts in the tundra. Can it be fixed to start in Australia ?

Hey there! Don't know if you take requests but I had an idea for a nice Iroquois Civ and appreciate how many Native American civs you've made. Either way, love your work!

@Ramon Avilez
The mod seems to be working fine, it loads into the game and I tested some functions, doesn't appear to be particularly broken. Which exact part do you find outdated, so I may look into it?
Ramon 27 Apr, 2021 @ 6:31pm
Thank you for your support. I like to play with this mod.
Durkle  [author] 27 Apr, 2021 @ 5:48pm
I'll be getting around to updating all of my civs fairly soon!
Ramon 27 Apr, 2021 @ 5:10pm
It was out of date after the April update.

:(

Need update.

Hey man, just thought I'd let you know I LOVE this mod. SUCH a unique civ and playstyle. Just completed a game as them and they're so much fun - especially for a guy like me who loves seeing BIG YIELDS.

Only thing I would say is their ability doesn't seem to work with wonders that provide Great People points. I understand doubling these might be a bit powerful, so maybe they could add + 1 to those?

Either way, will be checking out the rest of your civs. Thanks for the absolutely awesome work!
Ekmek 21 Oct, 2020 @ 3:07pm
Is this leader animated?

thanks for all your hard work. Cool and unique civ. I enjoyed this civ.:steamhappy:

@Durkle: If you happen to want to make your mod compatible with the Watchtower Improvement mod,all you need to do is check the DoNotDisplayCharges box in the Units.artdef entry for the unique unit.
D_Neon 15 Jan, 2020 @ 3:59am
Hey Durkle, the popular "Watchtower Improvement" mod has a bit of a bug with Warmala since they're recon but also a unit of 4, so it breaks combat visually and stops the game for a second every time Warmala fight. I'll post this there as well. Nothing gamebreaking but an issue I've noticed.
rhéa 22 Dec, 2019 @ 11:00pm
Really cool to see Aboriginals finally represented well in video games
D_Neon 21 Oct, 2019 @ 9:57pm
Hey Durkle, want to say that is my outright favourite modded civ, fits to perfectly as the counterpoint to the Australia civ while focusing on the same aspects of Australia.

Just adding that I don't seem to be getting the bonuses from charming tiles on anything but the Wiltja. No housing on cities founded on charming, and no Warmala bonus for fighting on charming. I still get them from Breathtaking, but don't seem to from charming...
SafeVirus 9 Sep, 2019 @ 9:18am
Hey Durkle. I love your mod, but recently when I attempt to enable this mod and play I get an error message loading into the game, "one or more mods has failed to load content". When I disable this mod the game runs fine. Not sure if this is just an issue for me, but I want to get back to using the mod!
Durkle  [author] 15 Aug, 2019 @ 4:51am
I've never experienced a crash with this mod, even in very large YNAEMP games. I haven't tested it with Civitas City States, but I suppose it is possible that the new update is causing some kind of conflict. Seems unlikely though.
Hiram 14 Aug, 2019 @ 7:05am
Hey Durkle, I was wondering which mods you've played this civ with? Got a mid-game crash when I was using it with YNAEMP, Sukritact's civs and the Civitas civs and CS pack.
Wargasm 3 Aug, 2019 @ 2:39am
Really cool civ so far. I'm not, however, getting double yields from Torres Del Paine, even though my city follows my religion. Thanks dude!
The True Phoenix 9 Jul, 2019 @ 7:37am
Awesome work, I was hoping someone would do something like this when they added yet another "Australian" civilisation. Always annoyed that they constantly make it European considering Europeans have only been here the last ~200 out of ~60,000 years!
Missile 2 Jun, 2019 @ 6:38pm
Hey just downloaded the mod and I cant see the leader on the select screen. I don't have any expansions and I thought this would be working without it. Any help would be appreciated
Dev 16 Mar, 2019 @ 11:02am
Ah, I didn't see you had changed the ability. That seems rough for higher difficulties, where getting great prophets can be pretty difficult.
Durkle  [author] 16 Mar, 2019 @ 2:37am
@Deviathan Whale are those cities following your majority religion? I changed the UA slightly in-game but forgot to post new screenshots on this page. Also, are you playing with Terra Mirabilis?
Durkle  [author] 16 Mar, 2019 @ 2:35am
@Vasalis Erretti You're right, I assumed it would still work with Rise and Fall but I was wrong. I'll try to fix it soon.
Dev 16 Mar, 2019 @ 1:26am
I'm getting no extra yields for pantanel and giant's causeway (and possibly others I haven't encountered)
Terra Lupin 12 Mar, 2019 @ 5:46pm
So when you updated it did you then break it that it doesn't work with the previous version? I'm running on rise and fall, only have Jersulem, Isabella of spain, Mayan civilization and the enhanced mod manager and despite it saying it works with mine fails every time. I even tried uninstalling the other mods and it didn't work.
Durkle  [author] 12 Mar, 2019 @ 1:32pm
Updated for Gathering Storm!
starechamp 7 Mar, 2019 @ 7:27am
i feel like this would work really well with the terra mirabilis mod
Bodacious Cowboy 6 Mar, 2019 @ 7:55am
looking forward to it

Bodacious Cowboy 4 Mar, 2019 @ 11:21am
Is there an update coming?
Gu 4 Feb, 2019 @ 1:02pm
Having a civilization that is focused around natural wonders is super fun! Although it is a little bit situational...
Roodbaardt 29 Jan, 2019 @ 12:50pm
I'm sorry, I meant Tomatekh's Historical Religions.
Durkle  [author] 29 Jan, 2019 @ 3:47am
What mod are you talking about, Religion Expanded, Historical Religions, or a different one?
Roodbaardt 29 Jan, 2019 @ 2:31am
IDK if intended but with Tjilpi in the game he has founded two religions: Dream Time and Lutheranism (with the extra religions mod). Dream Time has all beliefs locked. Lutheranism appeared as a normal religion but with no followers. I can find nothing in the civilopedia about a unique religion for Tjilpi. Is this a bug?
ShadowOfGaia 28 Jan, 2019 @ 9:44pm
This mod is amazing! Great work.
chrisoaten 28 Jan, 2019 @ 4:56pm
This is a brilliant mod. Well done.
Fluffle 27 Jan, 2019 @ 5:03pm
i want to apologize for my previous comment; it seems the source of the crash might not be the anangu, but I can't tell what it is.
Fluffle 27 Jan, 2019 @ 3:58pm
This mod keeps crashing the game. It's possible it's not compatible with other mods i have installed, but I don't understand why. I have a few other civilizations installed, though notable none in Australia, Sukritact's natural wonders, religion expansion and I think that's it. Any idea why it might be crashing?
Durkle  [author] 27 Jan, 2019 @ 1:49am
Oh yes @Stubo, that behavior is definitely intended. Warmalas are only situationally better than normal warriors in the ancient era (because they don't have the warrior promotions and they have no combat bonus against spearmen), but they do have that excellent quirk of upgrading into swordsman. If you want another mod with a similar unit, I suggest CIVITAS Taino.

In Gathering Storm, the Warmala will upgrade into the Skirmisher instead, with perhaps a small buff to compensate.
Stubo 26 Jan, 2019 @ 8:01pm
Downloaded this yesterday, and have to say, it's an extremely well done Civ! Congrats to the maker for it.
Not sure if it's intended, but the Warmala's upgrade to swordsmen, with all the previous scout talents, and an empty warrior talent tre to start investing into.
My Warmala units had movement bonuses, and +20 in combat, which when upgraded to swordsmen, made them the best units around :)
Next game, I'm going to max several Warmalas, to get the stealth perk, and have steath melee combat units throughout the ages.
Major_Nuker 26 Jan, 2019 @ 7:21am
It's not a discoloration, it's one of those classic things where a texture is shimmering/broken.

Basically, imagine that all the water on the map is trying to be both blue and brown. Honestly, I'm thinking 1 of 2 things: i'm running on terrible hardware, and it causes the error just for this civ or there's something happening with the civ banner color. I did see if settling a city or other things helped, unfortunately it didn't. I do really like the civ though!
Durkle  [author] 26 Jan, 2019 @ 4:15am
I don't see how a slight discoloration in water tiles could have anything to do with my mod... But alright.

And if you don't hear any music, it's probably because you don't have the Australia DLC installed/activated.
thelastlemming 25 Jan, 2019 @ 10:50pm
You... tested 163 mods on low graphical settings to identify a faint discoloration?

On topic I don't seem to hear any music playing, but it could be something other than the mod.
Major_Nuker 25 Jan, 2019 @ 10:05pm
Sorry to say this but on low settings there is an apparent graphical glitch in the background coloration on water tiles. (I'm running 163 mods and tested each). May want to take a look at how the instant era score screen is impacting performance or maybe something else is going on. Good luck!
