Merging rosters is simply out engine's possibilities.
o8cbazz 24 Apr @ 3:14pm
No worries I understant, I just assumed if the WRE united the east or vice versa the units would naturally be included, regardless of that this is one of the best mods for FOTE, good job bro
Aurelinus  [author] 24 Apr @ 11:09am
That's completely unhistorical.
The caps are set in order of the units list in Notitia.
o8cbazz 23 Apr @ 3:58pm
Is there any way to remove the recruitment unit cap of the ND units manually? And is it possible to recruit WRE units as ERE and vice versa or atleast a way for someone to change it to be that way?
Aurelinus  [author] 2 Mar @ 4:43pm
They are unique by name.
o8cbazz 2 Mar @ 4:33pm
Is there any way to recruit the ND units more than once or is it hardset to be that way?
joelchemengine 15 Feb @ 7:25pm
this is the finest unit mod in all total war thank you

What does CTD mean?
Aurelinus  [author] 23 Sep, 2023 @ 5:25pm
They can be both installed but activated only the one for faction you play.

You may also start campaign using both submods activated (giving AI controlled romans possibility to recruit extra units), but at some point AI will start to CTD due to game's bug (if AI gets possibility to recruit over 99 units which is mostly when they build IIIrd tier barracks), so it is the time submod must be deactivated for AI and eventually you have to reload game (or a turn earlier).

Currently playing a WRE FOTE campaign with this submod on. Would there be any issues if I started a new ERE campaign with the ERE version on? (I.e like say the ERE in my current WRE campaign suddenly able to recruit these extra units and that causing crashes.) Are both additional unit mods compatible to run separate campaigns on simultaneously installed?

Comitatenses come from comitatenses chain, palatina from palatina and auxiliary from limitanes, there is no philosophy about that. Capital's governor chain brings scholae units.

Is there anywhere I can find a list of what units are recruitable from which buildings since I can't see due to the building description bug. Thank you.
warlord 13 Jul, 2023 @ 8:32pm
I am little confused, does this mod add a bunch of roman units in custom battles? Or just the campaign?
Aurelinus  [author] 12 Jul, 2023 @ 1:20pm
Yet some people are getting nystagmus seeing that many units to manage, that's why it is optional. :steammocking:
Lamrett 12 Jul, 2023 @ 1:15pm
Yeah I'm guessing that causes an early game difficulty spike.
Aurelinus  [author] 12 Jul, 2023 @ 11:18am
Yeah, that means you cannot upgrade milites nor recruit pseudocomitatenses.
Lamrett 12 Jul, 2023 @ 9:31am
So, this only adds a bunch of named Notitia units for WRE, just for flavour? Or is there a disadvantage not using this mod as the generic units available otherwise don't match up?
Dictator.Perpetuus 18 Dec, 2022 @ 2:41pm
Is there any list where I can find all the units for each recr. building?
Revan 11 Oct, 2021 @ 8:20pm
ahh okay so i misunderstood what this does okay shame either way like the mod thank you for clearing it up for me now i can continue the campaign without worry i messed something up an would have to start all over
Aurelinus  [author] 11 Oct, 2021 @ 6:17am
There is and there won't be ever "full stack" with starting armies. This mod just adds more units as per ND,
Revan 11 Oct, 2021 @ 4:25am
quick question if does anyone know if this submod still gives you full stack for wre at beginning or am i misunderstanding how this mod works?
Aurelinus  [author] 22 Sep, 2020 @ 6:10am
Not if you play WRE.
Legendarian 21 Sep, 2020 @ 11:30pm
Will anything get messed up if I enable this after my game has started?
Aurelinus  [author] 26 Dec, 2019 @ 5:48am
Check FAQ for main module.
BossRedguard 25 Dec, 2019 @ 9:06pm
are the different versions of the milites supposed to be AOR? In my game they can all be recruited in the same region and they cause the building description to be blank (I guess because there are too many units).
Armysniper 22 Nov, 2019 @ 6:03pm
Thanks for clearing this up!
Aurelinus  [author] 22 Nov, 2019 @ 6:02pm
Yepp. Unitll you get any CTD. It is not certain you get it, but expectable due to hidden units' limit for AI.
Armysniper 22 Nov, 2019 @ 5:54pm
So keep em checked even when the AI will be playing as the ERE or the WRE?
Aurelinus  [author] 22 Nov, 2019 @ 5:49pm
It is better to uncheck them only if you get error.
Armysniper 22 Nov, 2019 @ 5:38pm
So one could theoretically download this and the ERE Version and uncheck them in the Launcher if no one is going to be playing as the Roman Factions?
Aurelinus  [author] 21 Aug, 2019 @ 11:10am
Up to you.
Дымок 21 Aug, 2019 @ 10:37am
Good day, tell me please, you need to connect both of these modules if I do not play for the western and eastern empires
Aurelinus  [author] 10 May, 2019 @ 6:44pm
Campaing - VH, battle - normal (or higher, if you are not afraid of AI's magic bonuses),
Дымок 9 May, 2019 @ 6:39pm
what difficulty is recommended to play ???
Aurelinus  [author] 13 Feb, 2019 @ 4:33am
Nope, named units are restricted to ERE/WRE only. But not adding submod or both you weaken romans as they don't have access to whole scope as some units for them are limited in basic FotE.
It is not big deal, but it is just nice to meet roman armies with full scope of units.
Spariel 8 Feb, 2019 @ 7:14am
Alright. I don't play as anyone but Rome anyway, so this is great, thanks.
Aurelinus  [author] 8 Feb, 2019 @ 7:12am
No, it is meant to play when you control WRE. It seems also, that adding submod for ERE if ERE is controlled by AI doesn't create CTD problems.
So assuming - you can add main module and both submodules whatever you plan to play. It is just looking like game is not tolerating that so much units in ONE mod. If they are divided into smaller portions all works ok.
Spariel 8 Feb, 2019 @ 7:02am
so this shouldn't cause problems playing AS the WRE?
