Good to know, thank you.

In case your new and don't know about it "Alt-f10" brings up a menu that let you go creative. Then can hit f8 to go to spectator, move to that location near the ground then hit "alt+Spacebar" to teleport there. Can use Shift+mousewheel or alt+mousewheel to control travel speed in spectator. Can do the same thing to move your character back to your last location.

I've load it and just the Azimuth overclocked ore detectors and found uranium just fine on Triton . One issue is I had to set the ore detector to 1000m, any more then that and ore detector wouldn't work.It's a know issue with ore detectors on planets with a long range, game struggles with them since it scan ever single voxel of the planet for ores. In space it only has to scan each asteroid. I've gotten it to work with 2500m but it quits randomly, or could take 5 minutes or more to work on load of save.

Not sure if ores locations stay the same between different saves but try GPS location below. Copy it then us "New from Clipboard" in GPS screen. Or paste it into the chat box then turn it on in GPS menu. Check that location with your had drill.

Tried this mod the other day, new save on Triton, caused no ores to spawn. Checked in multiple locations with an ore detector that has a range of 3km

I'll have to check it later when I get some downtime. Sadly the game uses to grab the skybox from core game itself if you pointed it at the files, now I have to bloat the mod and have the skybox files in the mod itself. Might have forgot them with mod or something has changed.

This mod seems to affect the sky on Pertam - it looks weirdly banded and not really like a sky. I'm not sure if this also happens for any other planets.

No just using this on and no other ore mod (except for detectors) is used and still no uranium, will keep looking to see if I am just missing it
StarDruid  [author] 24 Oct, 2023 @ 5:28am
Like I posted with "Uranium And Platinum On Planets" where you posted about issues with that mod, this mod with just it and Azimuth Overclocked Ore Detectors it works fine. I'm able to find uranium just fine. Are you using both at the same time? You can only use one ore mod at a time, even mine will conflict with each other because of the way Space Engineers is coded.
Bolisaris 24 Oct, 2023 @ 4:23am
I have used this mod in the far past and it worked fine, I decided to play the game again and now get no deposits where the deposits were previously, I cannot find Uranium anywhere. Is there an update planned?
StarDruid  [author] 24 Jun, 2023 @ 7:24am
@jmaster not sure if you still follow but just noticed I gave you the wrong mod id, it "1669754821".
it's the ?id=1669754821 part of the workshop url
Bersted 18 Jun, 2023 @ 5:10pm
Yeah its kinda crazy that this has never been fixed. Found half the solution in a two year old post on the Keen support forum.
StarDruid  [author] 18 Jun, 2023 @ 4:29pm
I never play on pertam so never noticed that. When I get a chance I'll fix it. So stupid it won't just load the default game files.
Bersted 18 Jun, 2023 @ 4:21pm
Pertam has the same problem with missing clouds as triton. It seems you have a fix for triton in the mod. But i had to copy the pertam could textures into the mod to get them working. (Cloud_Sphere, EarthFarClouds and LandSky_Texture from \Textures\Models\Environment\Sky\ )
Friendlycs2player 1 Jun, 2023 @ 5:10am
i understand il try and get it to work thanks for the instructions!
StarDruid  [author] 1 Jun, 2023 @ 4:40am
No, each planets ores are set in it's files, in the vanilla planets most are in 1 large file with each planets entry in it. So all my mods that change ores only effect vanilla planets.

If you up for it you could change the water world mod. Just need to copy it to your AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Mods folder, change the folder name so you can tell it a part, then change 1 or more of the ore entry to uranium. You can look at my mod to get an idea of what to do. Fairly straight forward but you get less of what every ore you replaced. Just need to subscribe then find the folder "1685618464" in Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\244850\ on what every drive Space engineers is installed
Friendlycs2player 1 Jun, 2023 @ 4:21am
does this mod work for custom planets? cause i have a planet called water world and it focuses ores to islands would this mod work with it?
StarDruid  [author] 1 Apr, 2023 @ 10:12am
Yes, unless they do a major rework of how ores are done in the planet files this mod will work fine.
Friendlycs2player 1 Apr, 2023 @ 9:00am
does this mod still work?
StarDruid  [author] 9 Apr, 2022 @ 8:22am
Yeah, Iron is normally groups with Nickel and cobalt. Depending on there you land iron deposits can be hard to find.
Friendlycs2player 9 Apr, 2022 @ 8:03am
why is iron so hard to find? is it just my luck
TheRedMafiaPanda 10 Feb, 2022 @ 10:09am
Strange
StarDruid  [author] 9 Feb, 2022 @ 11:25pm
No idea, think it's a hard limit to the game engine since all the planets use the same number of slots. Even modded planets. So with this mode I put the uranium entries back to how they were before Keen force everyone into a no Uranium challenge by removing uranium front the planets.

Sadly this means less ice in ore deposits, which was change one I did liked with the keen changes to ores, but rather have uranium then extra ice on planets. Weirdly magnesium and ice have the same amount of entries, 3 each but I don't remember every find ice in ore patch. Never quite understood how Keen ore distribution system worked even after reading documents on it.
TheRedMafiaPanda 9 Feb, 2022 @ 10:25am
Wait why so little slots surely the generation can handle more slots for planets
StarDruid  [author] 9 Feb, 2022 @ 10:14am
Sadly while I've been modding games for over 25 years I'm not expert. I tend to be kind that edit exsisting files and slowly learns it that way. In the case of this I just changed the planet definition back to the way before keen removed uranium.
This the entry for it:
Start="32" Depth="2"
Start="35" Depth="3"
Start="38" Depth="5"
Start="80" Depth="8"
Start="89" Depth="9"
Start="96" Depth="11"
So I think uranium can start at 32m down and as deep as 96+11 or 107m down. The issue is it's only 6 entrys out of 51 for ores, so can be very really rare others.
TheRedMafiaPanda 9 Feb, 2022 @ 8:51am
I figured it'd be like minecraft certain biomes or areas would have certain ores or more of certain ores then others etc
TheRedMafiaPanda 9 Feb, 2022 @ 8:50am
Ah alright
StarDruid  [author] 8 Feb, 2022 @ 11:38pm
It ranges but usually you can find it with had drill, but large grid ore detector or modded ones make it easier. Look for silicon/Magnesium patches, the third ore has a chance of being uranium.
TheRedMafiaPanda 8 Feb, 2022 @ 12:21pm
How deep are uranium usually
StarDruid  [author] 21 Dec, 2021 @ 2:35pm
best way to test is download a overpower ore detector and use it. I'm currently using this version and find uranium on earth. But you can got for large areas without any. On the new desert world it's really hard to find because of how they changed how it has it ores. Also if your using any other mods that modify ores or add ores they can override this one. Sadly wish keen would fix that since i like Better Stone etc.
Laaven 21 Dec, 2021 @ 12:48pm
Ooops i meant to say i dont have uranium on planets even when i reverted voxels didnt see any difference between this version and the "deep" one
StarDruid  [author] 21 Dec, 2021 @ 12:14pm
What do you mean it doesn't revert?
Laaven 21 Dec, 2021 @ 9:07am
doesnt revert on planets for me
diex40 9 Aug, 2021 @ 11:33am
ah ty
StarDruid  [author] 9 Aug, 2021 @ 7:32am
Ah I made this mod to make the ores as similar as can be to how they were before the Uranium was removed from planets. Keen after the update the remove uranium replaced all the uranium and 3 slots of magnesium with ice. I changed that back so right now with this mode only 3 ore slots out of 51 are ice. This means ti's rare compared to other ores, best bet is finding one of the many ice lakes on the earth like.
diex40 8 Aug, 2021 @ 12:39pm
no just all the underground ice spawns
StarDruid  [author] 8 Aug, 2021 @ 12:21pm
So the lakes are solid uranium?
diex40 8 Aug, 2021 @ 11:11am
earth like. might be a mod conflict thing idk. just flew around a few hundred kl and only uranium
StarDruid  [author] 8 Aug, 2021 @ 8:04am
that weird. which planet? I use this in all my games and didn't see that yet
diex40 6 Aug, 2021 @ 1:42pm
so all ice has bin changed to uranium for me lol lol
StarDruid  [author] 23 Mar, 2021 @ 11:07pm
Really not another mods fault as much as a fault of the way Keen has made mods work.
Dude4Fockman 23 Mar, 2021 @ 6:22pm
I found it again, it was another mod's fault, sorry.
Dude4Fockman 23 Mar, 2021 @ 5:42pm
I drove over 20 km and didn't find anything.
StarDruid  [author] 11 Mar, 2021 @ 6:55am
It should, but not sure since I haven't tested it.
stterryaki sauce 11 Mar, 2021 @ 3:01am
Does this work with the current server build that supports crossplay?
Karl, King of Ducks 16 Feb, 2021 @ 12:07pm
your a legend, ive been avoiding the game because of this removal, only just found this
runlykhel 6 Dec, 2020 @ 1:29pm
Started a new game with all three mods yours first in order; lots of uranium, none of it found where a possible oasis/ice would be. Seems to be about 50/50 uranium vs other ores; not a problem though found all the others within a few kms of lander.
Lmao...first spawn lander crashed, threw me out of lander and destroyed survival kit, this on flat sand. My restart had my pod land upside down also on flat ground...lol. Rng had ice in my area extremely rare; one oasis in a ~8.5 km circle (this is the game with uranium).
Hominin 6 Dec, 2020 @ 4:30am
and lightning goes through mountains to hit underground bases. in true SE style, it'l be a few years before the new planet is finished anyway, no rush and thanks for the mod!
StarDruid  [author] 5 Dec, 2020 @ 10:32pm
Weird ore detectors only show one ore but actually played on pertam for the first time and found multiple ores when digging. No idea why uranium is so rare, maybe small ore patch size is part of it.
StarDruid  [author] 5 Dec, 2020 @ 1:46pm
For some reason can't get ore detectors to work for me. But saw uranium before they broke, Going to push the update.
runlykhel 5 Dec, 2020 @ 12:26pm
Thanks for replying, yeah Platinum is in space that's why the obviously. It's only uranium added to planet that has my attention; never agreed with the whole remove it from planets thing in the first place.
The over abundance of iron, nickel, silicon, and cobalt could take a few hits and not be missed. I find large groups of those four together everywhere.
