Since you've figured out modelling, I wanted to ask what your thoughts are on the Red Alert/Tiberium Dawn transition? One thing I've always wanted to see in a C&C game is stuff like surplus Soviet heavy tanks getting a modernization package and being sold to either GDI or Nod, or post Soviet states like Poland reactivating a Soviet MCV to try and counter a Nod incursion.

Is there any chance of seeing modernized Red Alert tech for Tiberium factions?

I'm back, and I intend to stay! The VRChat bug bit me hard, and it's been amazingly fun ever since! In that time, I've learned Blender and Unity, and discovered how both can improve ARMA III and make ARMA III assets! So, I intend to keep working on the mod, now that I've updated it!

I'll be overhauling it of course, and relearning everything I need to know to make this better, and even add assets from scratch! On a whim, I built the Construction Yard, which proved to myself that I can make assets without having to rely upon other people, so it's time to rock and roll!

That'd be pretty wild! This mod is still in development. I'm sharpening my skills with Blender and am already making some assets. Once I get better, I'll come back to this - I'm still here!

hey there. i am a big fan of the old C&C series, I am an old operation flashpoint veteran and playing conquer the island CTI on the OFPS server and group for about 20 years. If you like the idea of combining the command aspect and strategy to an ongoing, force on force, capture the island scenario, then see how this CTI plays out and take command. As a commander, your team relies on you to move the MHQ, build control center, light fac, heavy fac, rotary air, supply depots, fixed wing fac, air radar, sat cam, etc. in addition, all these have tech levels to upgrade. the other players on your team conquer towns and defeat their resistance forces, turning them loyal to your command

I can certainly try! I know I can make pillboxes and physical Tesla Towers seems pretty smooth in Blender - I'd have to figure out how to animate lightning, however.

Is it possible to implement tesla towers and tanks into the game and have them be effective? This mod seems to cover RA1 so I don't think tesla troopers matter.

Awesome. Can't wait for updates. If you're willing to take suggestions, I can add some more to make it more accurate-ish (*ish* is the keyword). Perhaps you could also add the Mammoth tank mod as a dependency, and give it to GDI. Or the Soviets, too. Either way, can't wait for more.

Oooohh, right! I can definitely consider that! I did just find a pack that adds the Leopard 2A4, which works with what I'm trying to achieve.

Once I finish my VRChat world, I'll be back at this - apologies for the delays and definitely thank you for remaining interested in this project. :)

This mod is definitely due for an update. I've pursued learning more about Blender and I have discovered I can truly make my own assets!

I'll be back at this when I'm done my latest Blender project.

I think USM and DHI could be repalced with S & S New Wave along with XYZ Urban Retextures since former are bit outdated especially USM. You also have more variation options with S & S. GDI M81 Woodland groups would also be nice to have ready units. I understand that the desert camo is accurate for the lore however I think it's more of a development constraint at the time C&C was made and to help player identify their units easier rather than a deliberate choice in using that specific camo for every environment. Queen and Country is also a nice mod for a UK/EU Branch of the GDI. Middle East could also make use of some of the garments from S & S. On a different note it's nice to see such a mod being kept up.

ACE is required, yes, since the ACE Medical systems and fortification systems are utilized by the elements in the mod. However, ACE settings determining the durability of AI are configured within the 3Den Editor for missions rather than the mod itself.

With that respect, the scenario settings I prefer to use relevant to ACE have disabled AI Unconsciousness, so once AI go down, they stay down. All health settings are otherwise set to default.

You can tweak your ACE settings and health settings per mission, of course, if you wish to make your own with your own parameters in mind, and I encourage you to do so. Thanks for looking into it!

Is ACE required? Or can i play with this mod without ACE and having to spend hours to set up a balanced system so AI are not invincible and players don't drop dead every 6 seconds during a firefight.

That's because of the way textures for weapons are treated - theyre treated differently than textures for the rest of the vehicle. I'm working out that issue now.

That's what I struggle with - I'm avoiding piling on mods as much as I can. Unfortunately Pook didn't get back to me on my request to make use of the FAV and Scud yet...

Not at the moment.

ACE expands the medical system, as well as multiple facets of the original game experience. It really is an awesome addition to ARMA. Plus, it lets engineers use fortification tools so they can build things like bunkers.

Update for June 2021:

I am still intent on working on this mod, of course! In January, I lost my job, but now I've found a new, better one that I've been at since mid-April. Also, my social life is picking up since the pandemic is getting resolved, which takes up my weekends...and doesn't leave me much time for ARMA.

hey, can i join the team to work on this mod? i have some models for you guys to use and have experience with 3d modelling, sadly no high detail stuff (i dont want to melt my laptop and cause of the beer i cant bring my main pc to the shop to get it fixed, busted HDD)

Sorry to throw more work on, but I feel these would flesh out the mod more. I may or may not attempt a C&C pvp server, and been looking to have balances to level things out
