Greetings. Having a strange issue. Installed mod. Found there was no types file. Removed mod. All CDS suppressors still showing in VPP. What gives?

I'm trying to find the files but after it's subscribed and downloaded, I cant find anything in ...\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ\!Workshop\

Please guys, if someone can tell me where they are, It'll help a lot (to past it to the root directory of the server).

If there is an easier way, I'm new to this :')

@bri5150 - As of this post it is still working. Tested with it on and off and appears to still suppress sound. I gave up testing how long it would last after when I tripled the amount of bullets that the silencer broke without mod.

The mod does not work on 1.09. I checked a pistol suppressor on UMP45, with and without mod it is enough for 200 shots.

@Novadose thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Would there be no way to modify your file structure to have a config file somewhere where we could modify the values, or where we could add new suppressors from other mods (the Mass' 308 Suppressor comes to mind)?

I think it would increase the re-usability of your mod tremendously if server admins had that level of control over the mod.

But the mod is great even as it is. I appreciate it. Great work!

@Highzung I'll look into it. With suppressor HP values changed in vanilla recently I will probably do that. @Battlefate unfortunately there is no way to adjust via settings. @Знахарь no repacks. @Smok working fine on 1.09, no need to update

@Novadose Is there a way for server owners to change the settings within the mod to adjust the durability of suppresors? By default your mod makes them take 90% less damage, but I'd like to adjust it to take say 50% less damage instead. Is that possible through the settings, and if so, what should I be adjusting?

Didn’t do so , just looked at changelogs to find issue. finally found out that the problem is in virulenttweaks „container“ , not in the included mods

@jaeger90patriot you shouldn't run this mod with VirulentTweaks, this mod is included in VirulentTweaks so if you run them side by side you will get errors. Is that the issue?

Sorry for the multiple updates in a row but you want this: right now, through nothing I've changed, zombies are sometimes taking 2 shots to the head to die with low caliber ammo. This update slightly bumps the damage of those low caliber ammunitions just enough to again kill zombies with 1 head shot (they are still the least damaging of all calibers, affected ammo is: 22lr, 380auto, and 9mm).

@kolarov This mod is confirmed working as of v1.05 and is currently running on my server among hundreds of others without issue. Perhaps you have a configuration issue? Be sure you have the key in the key directory, the mod in the correct folder in your game root directory, and that folder name in your launch parameters.

Hey Nova.. Little feedback on your update.. suppressors initially appear to be working much better.. .45 ACP hardly attracts any interest even after multiple shots.. only spooked one infected after taking out the two next to him. .556 is not bad either.. have not tried in the middle of a town yet.. thanks for the update..

@CAG_DAVE This mod has had 4 updates over the last 2 weeks; 2 of those were admittedly my fault and only introduced a critical bug then rolled back that update, which meant the 3rd update had to bring the changes into the game that the 1st update was supposed to intro. The 4th update, last night, added MK2 and VSS suppression and adjustment to low cal ammo. So, while in a perfect world I could've gotten this done with 2 updates, I'm not perfect and mistakes were made; for that I apologize. BUT 1.) I do this for free and solely for the enjoyment of others, that being said 2.) I don't work for anyone and I'm doing it in my spare time so I have to code on MY schedule. I have a job+kids; if I push an update its because that's when I was able to, which brings me to 3.) What about this bug report? I fixed it in my test server, I could update now to fix...but that would mean people running this mod need to update their servers. What if its not a good time for them?

@novadose I run the CAG server, and you're spamming updates and not really fixing anything. if you're going to continue to work on the mod, i understand, but how about releasing an update once a month or something so server owners that use your mod aren't getting angry messages from players in the middle of the night because you decided to post an update? also, the suppressors are ruining after only a mag or two. so this mod is pretty much useless.

@iBringGenocide, @Mr.Pumpernickel, & @SARGENT D today's update introduces some changes to ammo configs that may help with the issue. Be sure to read the first paragraph that I added to this mod about how sounds work now in game and to keep that in mind when you test. Let me know your results. Thanks for your patience :)

We are finding the same on ButlerZ, as iBringGenocide reported.. High infected server and still spooking infected at 200m plus even with buildings and walls between you and them..

I think this, combined with the increase to audible gun fire in the last patch, in conjunction with the relatively small window for adjustment in the configs (if a gun's default noiseShootModifier is -0.5 and there is no noticeable affect after -0.95 that only gives you a small window for adjustment, and adding a third decimal would do nothing to help the issue) leads to this mod seemingly not having an affect on the aggro range of zombies. BUT I just tested to confirm a few things. So firing a gun without one will pull zombies from further, faster. Firing a gun with one pulls fewer and it takes a couple shots in succession. So, long story short, I think I'm going to retool how this mod works in general and possibly how zombie aggro works to make suppressors actually viable again. Stay tuned...

@iBringGenocide & others mentioning the audbile range. There is a variable in the vanilla configs, noiseShootModifier, its a variable between 0 & -1. For instance the vanilla setting for this for the M4 is noiseShootModifier=-0.5; this mod changes it to -0.8. I've experimented with variables closer to 1 (for instance the pistol suppressor is -0.9) but once you get around -0.99 the gun doesn't aggro zombies anymore, even when fired directly behind them. I'm telling you all this to tell you something else: I think aggro doesn't work in this game quite the way it does in others. In this game it appears that aggro is more like a "resource" than a "state"; in other words as you fire your gun around zombies their aggro "resource" fills up. Regular rifle fire will "fill" it immediately, while suppressing your rifle will give you a few more shots before they actually aggro.
