couldn't really add the robot with the skyrim version though :-)
for the rent thing: i tried on a monthly base in very early versions, but a game month can pass real quick, so if you got more than 1 suite, you'll easily have to pay rent every single time you turn up there, turning this into just a nag.
but: rents are really low, and you just pay a year _in_advance_ anyway, meaning you can cancel your suite at any time and will get the according amount of gold refunded (calculated every time you come back, so technically, rent is pretty much on a "whenever" base anyway :-)
(i was pretty sure it'd be nothing in this mod anyway though)
to check for mod compatibility, add the mods one by one on a fresh game with none installed. removing mods and then trying the same save won't help in most cases, certain stuff from removed mods will remain in your save forever after, as well as changes they made at runtime.
you could also check out tes5edit, once you know how to use it, it'll give you the quickest possible overview
basically anyway, the more mods you have doing stuff in the same place,
the worse your odds in matters of compatibility.
most objects in game can be altered by only _one_ mod at a time (with exceptions)
and that'll always be the latest one in your load order to try.
the only way to get the "owned bed" message is that that particular bed has a specific owner,
and the _only_ owner i set at any point in this mod is the player -
if this failed, you'd not get "well rested", but no "owned" message.
to make sure, try on a save that doesn't have that other mod in it and without that loaded,
i'm quite confident you won't get that issue then.
let me know what that brings forth, if the issue still persists, i'll check if i can find anything
(edit: if it's a mod conflict and you're lucky, putting this mod after the other one in your load order might fix it, but depends on the type of conflict, so no guarantees)
if it's the one with the double bed, you're not :-)
3 NEW SUITES AVAILABLE
...to make up for the delay anyway, i added a little hidden bonus suite for you to find, too, enjoy... :-)
s7o's Meanie In A Bottle
but since fo4 is in due and i got plenty wip's to finish and updates to do to my skyrim stuff before fo4 geck is out and i'll be moving on, i'm not taking in any more requests, so sry, but you're out of luck i fear. a little suite somewhere near boston maybe...? :-)
(and who knows, there _might_ be a little stg at least near markarth for you in the update :-)
and about the "real" taverns, i guess they'd not have just one room to rent out, riften is more like it. or, for the farmhouse type, with an upstairs like we see in the destroyed inn in helgen maybe.
I always thought the inn's were very run down. Even in a time period like Skyrim it was quite the hole in the wall or raided by bandits regularly to be as spartain and poor as the majority of the inns of Skyrim are. Because back in those time periods Taverns were in the heart of the town square and or by a major entrance / exit because they were essential to living. They were your stop for news from other towns even lands. For any and every traveler and wanderer. Needless to say Taverns were more essential to everyday life than most people give them credit for especially skyrim. This mod changes that by adding the suites. It makes the taverns seem more like an actual tavern.
s7o's Forgotten Places ~ IRONTREE MILL
hm yeah i guess this'll have to go to update list...
(way behind my schedule with that, real life eating up modding time...)
