Hi Robert, it's an amazing route which offers a lot of potential for scenario creaters like me. Great to see that you have enjoyed and of course many thanks from my end for your positive feedback. Cheers, Coasty

Hi David, Many thanks for the flowers... great to read that you even drove it a 3rd time now.... and I wouldn't be surprised if you have seen little details which you may have overlooked before. Regarding AI it's all about planning and then (countless) testing to ensure that the player never ends up in a dead-end situation. With regards to my creations, you are getting the most out of it when you always aim to drive as close to the line speed as possible.
Hope you will enjoy the 2nd part as well.... Best regards, Coasty
david.angus1977 9 Jan, 2021 @ 3:51pm
Hi again, Coasty! As I intimated yesterday evening, I have driven this Part again this evening! I enjoyed it SO much yesterday! The AI is absolutely fantastic, and how you get it all to run so perfectly is a complete wonder to me --- but you are so successful with this! Thank you again for all the care that you take so that we don't get AI crossing the path and AI collisions, etc., etc. I want specially to mention that I liked all the track-side construction activity that was going on on the right at one of the first stations (can't remember the name!) --- extremely well done! Thanks again for the lot! And kind regards, David.

Hi David, Great to read that you drive this little series again. The BR155 is my favourite German loco, but indeed, it needs a few miles to get familiar with it. You need to be patient and do NOT brake as long as the tap control is not down to "0" - then you shouldn't get any need to reset the tap control.
Once familiar, this loco is really a dream to drive, but I have to admit it's easy to say for me as I have run this loco for several thousand miles :-)
I really feel pleased and honored that you drive my creations more than just once AND I of course really appreciate to get a feedback, which more and more doesn't seem to be common for the users, to give a feedback (good or critical) to the creator. Hope you will enjoy part-2 again as well and I'm looking forward to hear from you. Best regards, Coasty
david.angus1977 8 Jan, 2021 @ 3:39pm
Hi Coasty! In going again through my portfolio of scenarios, I have reached your "In the West" scenarios and I have just thoroughly enjoyed driving Part 1. I've enjoyed it so much that I'm going to drive Part 1 all over again tomorrow evening! I just want to savour all the AI activity, especially around Cologne. I think I was concentrating too much on my driving this evening!! But you do have to get used again to driving the BR 155, with its tap changer (and sometimes needing to reset the tap changer)! Thank you SO much for all the work in producing this, especially with all the AI. As I said the last time, you are the MASTER when it comes to producing scenarios --- the overall quality is outstanding! My kind regards, David.

Hi Laux, Danke für Deinen netten Worte bzgl. meiner Kreationen. Gruss, Coasty
Laux 20 Oct, 2020 @ 3:44pm
Laux 18 Oct, 2020 @ 3:29am
Coasty kommt was neues dieser Art von dir? Gerne auch mal mit Personenwagen?
Laux 21 Sep, 2020 @ 3:31am
Coasty  [author] 19 Sep, 2020 @ 7:38am
Hallo Laux, welche (deutsche) Strecke hast Du gesehen?

Danke.

Selten so gut durchdachte Szenarien gesehen. Das Intro ist ein Leckerbissen! KI-Verkehr grandios! Chapeau!

Hi JustWentSouth, Many Thanks again for your warm words - really much appreciated. Great to see that you liked it..... and even played it once more. This is actually a good idea, as then you know what happens and may have more time to see what's going around :-) Cheers, Coasty
JustWentSouth 20 Apr, 2020 @ 6:47pm
I am surprised at the thumbs down opinions. This is truly one of the best scenarios I have encountered in Train Simulator. It is a great mix of dealing with main line traffic and switching. I ran it again tonight and was able to go a little faster which enabled me to encounter even more AI traffic. Fantastic!

Hi JustWentSouth, Great to see that you liked it.... and many Thanks for your kind feedback of course. People seem to have mixed emotion on this scenario as in the meantime I'm collecting quite a few 'thumbs-down'.... but this is life. Hope you will enjoy the 2nd part as well. Your screenshot is really nice :-) !
Cheers, Coasty

Hi Cali, Great that you give this series a try - and even better to read that you liked it. Hope you will enjoy part-2 as well .... it won't be boring.... Cheers, Coasty
Cali 12 Jan, 2020 @ 5:36am
Great Begin with a 155 loco. the signals are al good at my route and i was at slow speed to a red signal at the bottom . Is ok i was waiting for Passenger Trains at a signal , but is the track free i can go at highspeed ^^ .
The only bad thing ist the new Ara , most Trains are white oder red . no older Trains. But is ok the Scenario is great.. next i make Part 2 .:dh2_butler:

Hi David, Wow - what a feedback.... but first of all: Welcome back and I hope you had a great time off. Many Thanks once more for your kind and comprehensive feedback. Great to see that you liked it and also recognised the tiny little things around. Indeed a 'busy' area but you obviously had no issue to cope with the traffic :-) Hope you will enjoy the 2nd part as well. Hope all works fine again when you have replaced your graphics card. Best regards, Coasty
david.angus1977 15 Apr, 2019 @ 4:40pm
Well, Coasty, you have produced another CRACKER of a scenario! Man, this is wonderful stuff! I DO like rush hours and being in the middle of it all, and you certainly have us in the middle of a rush hour getting through Cologne in this one. I think I ought to have heeded your advice and reduced my graphics settings as you suggest, but I'm hoping to install a new graphics card tomorrow, so I'm hoping I might not need to reduce the settings at all! I wholeheartedly agree with Jim Sinclair's comments below --- it is a miracle that you can successfully manage to cram so much AI traffic into a scenario as you've done in this one! You are indeed the MASTER of this aspect; but you're also the master at filling the sidings with interesting stock and placing all the personnel and machinery around the tracks. Your video intro is superb, too, especially with the lighting as the sun is about to come up and the great cathedral bathed in the glow! Kind regards, David.
Coasty  [author] 13 Apr, 2019 @ 12:45am
Hi Jim, Many Thanks for your kind feedback. Great to see that you enjoyed it - even that much that you did the first 15mins twice :-)
To avoid any fiurther confusion I just changed the name for the required DLCs to "Koln-Koblenz" - thanks for bringing this up again as I missed it when Scouser already flagged it.
I hope you will enjoy part-2 as well .... whenever you have time of course. Cheers, Coasty
jimsinclair56 12 Apr, 2019 @ 10:04pm
Hi Coasty! Well, you have created yet another EXCELLENT scenario for us to play and enjoy! In fact, I enjoyed the intro and first part so much, I replayed the beginning up to Task 4! I don't know how you cram so much AI traffic into a scenario, but you are The MASTER at doing it! Oh, like Scouser888 stated below, I also had some trouble finding this scenario in the game. I was looking for a route by the name of West Rhine: Cologne-Koblenz, which I never found. Somehow I figured out that it's listed as Koln-Koblenz, and while I know this isn't your fault, I still have to wonder about the vast difference in the route name? Again, a very entertaining and challenging scenario, and I sincerely thank you for all the time and effort you put into this new series! On to Part 2, but it may be a day or two before I can get to it. :-)
Coasty  [author] 5 Apr, 2019 @ 10:39pm
Hi Scouser, Great to see that you finally found it in your library and for giving it a try. Many thanks for your kind feedback, great to see that you liked it and also recognised the tiny little things around such as the intro camera or the 'early warnings' - much appreciated. Cheers, Coasty
Coasty  [author] 5 Apr, 2019 @ 10:38pm
Hi Codyandrex, Many Thanks for your feedback - great to see that you liked it and I hope you will enjoy the 2nd part as well. Cheers, Coasty
Scouser888 5 Apr, 2019 @ 2:59pm
Well, I have to say, that scenario was a superb creation. First of all, let me tell you where I found it. As indicated by wadawes, it is listed under Koln-Koblenz, which in my scenario list is listed after Konstanz-Villigen, go figure? Anyway, getting back to the scenario, in my opinion, everything was impressive, from the opening intro to all the on screen messages, warning of upcoming speed limits, most appreciated. It seems to me that Coasty spent a lot of time and effort creating this scenario, for us to enjoy, which is most appreciated.
Codyandrex 5 Apr, 2019 @ 2:28pm
I can just agree to the positive ratings below. I also liked this first part a lot. Everything was explained in detail! There was a high, but still realistic amount of Trains. VERY GOOD JOB.
Coasty  [author] 4 Apr, 2019 @ 11:42pm
Hi Budweiser8, Initially the BR155 (incl. the Habbins) was a separate DLC, but since quite a few years it is merged with the Koln-Koblenz-Route.
Pls check whether you see any CAREER (!) scenarios for the BR155 on the Route.
If NOT, then indeed it is a missing item for you and you need to contact DTG and raise a ticket accordingly and I'm convinced they are able to help you.
Btw if you owe the Airport-Link-Extension (which is NOT required for this scenario) then you should see CAREER scenarios for the BR155 as well.
Hope this helps as the BR155 is well worth to have it in the library. Cheers, Coasty
[RF] Wardrag0n 4 Apr, 2019 @ 1:27pm
Hi, i get this message : could not load scenario.
Cause i've got no DB BR155 and no Habbins Wagon.
I already check my locals files who found over 5607 missing files !
So it install the 155 blue one, but not the DB red livery.
Are u sure that i don't need the "airport raillink" route ?
Cause i got all the needed routes and euro locos...
So what's wrong ? Any idea to fix it ?
Coasty  [author] 3 Apr, 2019 @ 9:07am
Hi tonix, Many Thanks for your kind feedback. Great to see that you liked it and I hope you will have some fun with the 2nd part as well.... See you in Koblenz :-) Cheers, Coasty
