Advance version tagging is dangerous. Simple as the mod may be, you clearly aren't active and confirming compatibility.

@Thundercraft
sorry for the late reply.

indeed, these are mostly used to create traps,
either by themselves or by placing them close to other explodey things that might set them off.

also if you place items such as chemfuel outside under no roof, they will slowly deteriorate,
which does not happen with these cages.

also any pawn on the map won't take these.
raiders for example could just steal your carefully placed vanilla chemfuel stacks even if you disallowed the stacks.
here if they decide to smash the cages, they get a nasty fire suprise.
the fires of these cages spread a fair bit better than dropping chemfuel.

so yeah if your goal is to BBQ some raiders, these cages are far more useful than vanilla chemfuel. :lunar2019madpig:

Let me see if I understand: Chemfuel Cages are not really intended to store chemfuel? Rather, they function as a highly flammable, if not explosive trap?

Important question: Are the fires that result more dangerous than if we just left chemfuel laying around in piles on the floor?

Likely that's due to some conflict with another mod. Probably one that does something to chemfuel. Open up devmode and see if something red pops up!

sadly it do not work.... when i build it in the same time it dissapear.

I like that storage idea. Maybe a weapon rack too! It doesn't look quite right laying my guns down flat on hard shelving surfaces, a proper rack would be amazing.

Yes, the game by default adds the value of all items in an object's recipe to whatever is crafted from them. I think right now the amount stored in these is perfect, but I do have plans to make static storage. Storage structures for your resources. Pallets of metal and wood, a big tank of chemfuel. Deconstruct when you need them.

Okay, thanks for the quick response. It would be cool to have an actual storage cage, too!
Spess Carp  [author] 11 Apr, 2019 @ 6:45am
Well you can take it apart and get the stored chems if you wish! But most notably it's fun to set on fire.
CanehdianSteve 11 Apr, 2019 @ 5:36am
So, this is only a trap and not a chemfuel storage solution?
Spess Carp  [author] 5 Apr, 2019 @ 9:21am
Are those rude raiders running away once you try and set them on fire? That's very rude if you ask me. With these firedoors you'll have a far better chance of roasting them alive :lunar2019madpig: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1703931291

Thx! Now everything is just perfectly compact. Now it really feels like old Dungeon Keeper days. It is good to be bad yet again :)
Again thank you!
Spess Carp  [author] 1 Apr, 2019 @ 8:11am
Did you think the last version was too large? With this new update it's more compact and the sprite nearly perfectly represents what it contains. Even the warning sign is nicer. Enjoy!

Thanks! I always felt like vanilla was super low on fun traps to use. What self respecting organ harvesting-prisoner keeping-drug producing organization would not have a series of deadly traps set up to thwart meddling super spies?

Smells like cookies!.. burned cookies xD

All in all, great mod! Now I can cover my base with even more traps xD

Love the smell of crispy raiders in the mornin'!
