any reason this collides with the golden frying pan mod that I have for the actual frying pan weapon in-game? (i just find it strange since this replaces the Nightstick, not the Frying Pan)

That's because both the addons use Team Fortress 2's weapon lightwarp texture.
Most TF2 weapon addons probably "conflict" like this because they have the lightwarp.

I don't think it's anything to worry about.
