So I'm not sure why, but for me this mods weapons are all purple and white, kind of like a NERF gun. Using AML launcher, with the required mods, LWOTC.

I think my issue was installing the mod mid campaign. I started a new one and the weapons are there.

Great mod. I love the look of TLP weapons, so this was a must subscribe. I am having a problem and I'm afraid I'm not knowledgeable enough to figure it out. Pistols, cannons and shotguns all appear in the weapons list for all tiers. However, assault and sniper rifles do not appear at all. I'd be grateful for any help anyone has. Thanks.

@Kinsect They have no pre-configured support for either under barrel mods or bayonets.

@bryan_03_93 My bad, REMOVE_ORIGINAL should have been set to false as well, sorry.
The crossbar attachment is part of the hair trigger combination together with the stock; I didn't put it because I thought you only wanted the stock. Again, my bad. Glad to hear all is well now.

alright i went ahead and tried copy pasting the commands you posted and what ended up happening was that the stock did get swapped but it was the vanilla stock and not the one from the images. on top of that, thats all that showed and every other socket was invisible. no hair trigger, no mag, no barrel lol. BUT, i tried again and decided to change it up a bit by trying the crossbar socket with its mesh and changed it to REMOVE_ORIGINAL=false and voila! once again thank you for pointing me towards a solution. i appreciate it and your work man! i can't promise you wont hear from me again though lol.

As per your question, the way my mod is set up is pretty hostile towards users due to excessively complicated set ups I did because I did not know better. To do what you want, use the following commands:

+DEFAULT_ATTACHMENT =(TEMPLATE=TLP_V_Rifle_CV, SOCKET=Stock, MESH="Better_V_AR.Meshes.Stock_AR", REMOVE_ORIGINAL=true)
+DEFAULT_ATTACHMENT =(TEMPLATE=TLP_V_Shotgun_CV, SOCKET=Stock, MESH="Better_V_SG.Meshes.StockBt2", REMOVE_ORIGINAL=true)
+DEFAULT_ATTACHMENT =(TEMPLATE=TLP_V_LMG_CV, SOCKET=Stock, MESH="Better_V_LMG.Meshes.StB", REMOVE_ORIGINAL=true)

if you want to make it work also for the magnetic and plasma variants of these weapons, rewrite the lines swapping "_CV" with "_MG" for the magnetic variants or "_BM" for the plasma variants.

First off; you can never modify the src file of any mod. At best you'll do nothing and at worst you'll break things. To properly modify the code of a mod you need to properly compile said code with the mod tools.

Question. so bringing WSR config mod into this, if i want the default appearance for the stock to look like the ones you have for the shotgun, lmg, and assault in the images above without having to equip the upgrade itself, can i use the following command to do so or is this the wrong command?

You should make an overhaul of the three mods into one and have it where people arent going through to find stuff. Like the stats for the weapons arent the same as the normal one.

Not a game breaker, but any plans to fix the position of the stock attachment(on the sniper rifle) so it doesn't sit where your characters hand would actually be gripping the weapon? It just looks silly

@LunarRioter That means you don't have the Tactical Legacy Pack DLC installed. It's listed as a required DLC on the panel at the right side of the page.

Maybe I dont have something installed properly or setup right, but the conventional weapons when I start a new campaign have a white and purple texture over them as if they are not properly textured.

@Pointmort Not sure why you're writing here and not under WSR's modpage (since I'm gonna assume you used WSR to swap the CV AR with the one from this mod) but that is perfectly normal. WSR doesn't start doing its magic until you're in game proper, so the main menu will always show the "normal" weapon look and not the changed one.

For some reason the default carbine is not displayed correctly in the main menu. It works fine in game but in the menu the vanilla version is present

@RedRobe I have honestly no idea. I've checked the update logs for Shiremct's mod and I can't see anything that would cause an issue such as this. I can only ask you to try to unsub and resub, and if that doesn't work, ask shiremct about it, as I'm currently unable to work on mods until I get stable internet again (and I have no idea when that'll be).

Veehementia - I have no idea what broke this and your other mods, the attachments are not displaying at all. I am using Shiremct's waepon and overhaul and your visual attachments for that mod. It was working fine for a long time, Shiremct just released an update to his mod. Not sure if that has anthing to do with it. But now it is not working. How do I troubleshoot this? I just installed fresh copy of war of the chosen so I it is not a corruption of config issue.

Yes add the swords but you should really make one big pack of the three along with the other "Infinite TLE weapons" mod so everything is clean like.

For those wishing to hide the base TLE firearms, you can do so by adding the following lines to the XcomWeaponSkinReplacer.ini of each respective weapon pack.

(Change CV to MG for magnetic, and CV to BM for beam)

+WEAPONS_TO_HIDE_KEEP_SCHEMATIC=TLE_AssaultRifle_CV
+WEAPONS_TO_HIDE_KEEP_SCHEMATIC=TLE_Cannon_CV
+WEAPONS_TO_HIDE_KEEP_SCHEMATIC=TLE_Pistol_CV
+WEAPONS_TO_HIDE_KEEP_SCHEMATIC=TLE_Shotgun_CV
+WEAPONS_TO_HIDE_KEEP_SCHEMATIC=TLE_SniperRifle_CV

It will make your armory a lot cleaner, and a lot more immersive. And best of all, it even works with the "Infinite TLE weapons" mod, meaning that you'll be able to use the infinite swords without the additional firearm clutter.

I'm only getting the 3 tiers for primary versions of these weapons. I'm not receiving the 3 tiers of the pistols, or swords. Is that intentional?

If I'm getting this correct your mod adds an additional pair of all TLP weapons?

And that those pair of weapons can display attachments visually?

I was able to equip that second pair I believe but it was completely invisible when I went to upgrade it. I also still noticed the weapon appearing on the soldier but the attachment I added wasn't there.

Any ideas?

@Fellatious the Headsman Not necessarily. If you want only to see the attachments on the actual TLP weapons, you can use WSR and swap them with mine.

So I read the description and the other comments and still do not understand how to get this mod working - I just want to see the attachments on the TLP weapons. Do I need to start a new campaign for these weapons to show up?

Sure. To do that, you need to go in the config folder of my mod and open the XComWeaponSkinReplacer.ini file. Inside you'll find a bunch of commented entries (lines of text that start with a ";"); simply uncomment those of the weapons you wish to hide (by deleting the ";" character) and they won't appear in your armory anymore.

The lines are separated by tiers, as written on the file itself, so you shouldn't have any issues figuring out what to uncomment and what to leave alone. In any case, if you need more help, write another comment or better yet, reach me on Discord (Veehementia#5679) since I'm not very active on Steam lately.
