This version of Silent Hill is one of the few better ones, but there are still few guidelines and clues, and we still have to find a strategy, but it only takes one or two times to get through customs quickly, but it is still very bad.
Thank you for asking
But, don't jump when inside the elevator, will glitch on top of it
Also try verifying integrity of game files in l4d2's properties.
I've always been turned off by horror games due to jumpscares, but Silent Hill 3 didn't pack itself with that and was one of my favourite horror experiences since I got to play a female character.
...I never finished it though. Too scary even just walking around >_<
Despite this, I enjoy the atmosphere and playing this with Last Man on Earth gave me the survival horror experience I needed. What usually is a straightforward mode gains some traction with the game's collect items system - even if you fail, you already remember what to take, where to go etc. There's no shame in playing on Easy as well so the specials give you more mercy on how quickly they use their attacks.
There are also a lot of cramped hallways which fit this mutation perfectly (and otherwise a friendly fire nightmare with 4 players XD) so you can predict where the specials are going to come from, unlike vanilla.
How ever, some criticisms (spoilers obv - but why are you reading comments otherwise?)
- The items are too blocky, especially the screwdriver. I assume this is because there were no 3D item models in SH3.
- The tooltips are full of ellipses (three dots...) instead of the game where it uses one dot instead, if I recall correctly.
- > The most glaring: The hints only trigger once. Is that a limitation??
Again though, despite those 3 points, I absolutely loved the campaign. Thank you all so much for making it. Much love <3 <3
