Ciaphas Cain 14. juli 2023 kl. 3:40
Anyone still playing this in 3.8??? I have never used this mod before so dont know if it works still or not
John McCreedy 27. maj 2022 kl. 14:16
I don't know if it's been mentioned or not but there's a bug with this mod. Whilst the rings look fantastic, unfortunately if you build something like a Ringworld or Dyson Sphere, the rings don't disappear like vanilla ones do. Similarly there are one or two events that re-size planets (or if you use the console to do it), the rings don't resize proportionally so you end up with clipping issues. If you can fix this that would be brilliant because the rings themselves are beautiful.

Works still fine as of 3.2.2 love the more visible rings never stop using this mod. no issues what so ever.

Good mod sad if no 3.1 updated

@Fujimaru It should still work fine even with a warning from the launcher.
Fujimaru 4. nov. 2019 kl. 12:13
Is this mod getting an update
MaxSomething 18. okt. 2019 kl. 23:53
Please update to 2.4.1
FOREVER_GWC 5. juni 2019 kl. 22:03
Thank you very much.I think it is good.
Chickenhunt  [ophavsmand] 3. juni 2019 kl. 2:02
@Zenithas [OGN Moderator] Thanks but I think this problem is most likely a vannilla bug or caused by some other mod bcause I dont have this problem.
Zenithas 31. maj 2019 kl. 20:39
I love the look of the rings, and I can heartily recommend this mod to anyone who isn't planning on megastructure focus for lategame.

If you are, however, the rings refuse to leave once you dismantle the planets for a ringworld (or other similar structures), leaving disembodied halos floating around the system. Even then, I'd argue in favour of still using it, as the rings are quite spectacular until that point. Beyond that point, if you're not too busy fighting off your crisis of choice plus the gatemakers to care about the pretty ringworld ring, what are you even doing with your empire?

anyone know of other ring mods? the search feature is oddly unreliable. i'm curious if it's possible to add more then 1 ring type and if anyone's attempted
Armandeus 22. maj 2019 kl. 2:41
Is it possible to give all planets an axial tilt of 0 degrees so their equators line up with rings and the orbits of their moons? Sorry, but the astronomy nerd in me is bothered by this. :-)
Chickenhunt  [ophavsmand] 20. maj 2019 kl. 7:08
@Armandeus Sadly due to the lighting in the game; if you have the rings perfectly arround the equator the rings will not be visible at all. So I am sorry but I cannot change something about that :(
Armandeus 20. maj 2019 kl. 5:59
It looks like you fixed the rings to properly orbit planets at the equator (3rd picture), but in-game it hasn't changed. Do you know how to do that?
Zyffer 14. maj 2019 kl. 1:01
Oh, thats unfortunate, I do like the mod, but I don't like locking myself out of achievements.
Chickenhunt  [ophavsmand] 14. maj 2019 kl. 0:37
@Ye Ole Zyffer Because the mod edits a ironman incompatible file.
Zyffer 13. maj 2019 kl. 13:33
Why does this mod disable achievements?
Kastalia 11. maj 2019 kl. 15:18
Thanks for the information! :)
Chickenhunt  [ophavsmand] 10. maj 2019 kl. 14:06
@Kastalia It will be incompatible with mods that change planets. so real space, planetary diversity etc. Its bcause you change a file that they changed to. Im sorry I dont have the spare time to make something like that but thanks for your interest :)
Kastalia 10. maj 2019 kl. 2:24
With what kind of mods does it interfere?
I imagine that it's only touching those who interfere with the galaxy-creation-process.
Or does it go even further?

Can you maybe do a small, seperate mod for that?

For example, I leave the game mostly vanilla anyway and only use optical mods so I don't think that people like me will run into serious problems.
Chickenhunt  [ophavsmand] 9. maj 2019 kl. 11:36
@Kastalia It is possible to increase it. But it will make the mod incompatible with alot of other mods.
키으기 9. maj 2019 kl. 11:23
Thank you I'll use it well
Kastalia 7. maj 2019 kl. 10:01
Is it possible to make the appearance of those rings around habitable worlds more frequent?
in some games i rarely find any which is kind of sad
Chickenhunt  [ophavsmand] 5. maj 2019 kl. 8:20
@mzilli Great idea! I will take a look if its possible, because its not something vannilla stellaris has so I cant promise it will work.
mzilli 5. maj 2019 kl. 7:48
Great mod! Would it be possible to make the ring darker on the night side of the planet? Like this picture: https://3c1703fe8d.site.internapcdn.net/newman/csz/news/800/2015/theplanetsat.jpg
Chickenhunt  [ophavsmand] 5. maj 2019 kl. 7:30
@Agent Vinnoe They actually are there in the vannilla game but very very faint.
ChilledArbiter 5. maj 2019 kl. 6:43
Truth be told I never actually noticed any rings in the game. Never looked for them.
Chickenhunt  [ophavsmand] 4. maj 2019 kl. 12:44
@General Cactus Haha idd
Chickenhunt  [ophavsmand] 4. maj 2019 kl. 11:58
@Klonter77 von Planet77 Sadly, no.
Klonter77 von Planet77 4. maj 2019 kl. 11:54
Its ironman compatible?
Hii 4. maj 2019 kl. 11:34
Probably didn't notice them because they were so invisible!
Technophile Max 3. maj 2019 kl. 22:43
... There are rings in Stellaris?
