Review the tasks, and set your priority, dont fly in with heli until you have eliminated the mg nests, and the antiair truck that is in one of the compounds, also take out the truck with mg too right away, once you have done that, only thing you need to worry about is the infantry in the compounds themselves.
Like i said the mission is very strategicly oriented, its a thinking man's mission, its not meant for beginners to the game or people that like to run and gun, this is more for spec ops, and sniping type players, as about 85% of the mission is CQB, the rest is MOUT tactics. Meant to be hard, and the enemy responds accordingly.
If you need help, tips, advice ask, i've beaten the mission many times since i started building it in November 2018, lastly and again read the tactical tips in the briefing.
Nothing wrong with the mission, its a matter of strategy, i designed it this way its meant to be challenging, you cant go in guns blazing and not expect the truck with mg to hear that and respond and investigate, theres also infantry patrols that will investigate too.
Read the Tactical tips in the briefing and try again.
1st - Its your strategy that is getting the helis destroyed.
2nd - Whatever noise, shooting, grenades, helis flying you have going on will attract the truck with the mg, helis will attract the truck to go there, truck is behind the compounds and he is only set with a guard waypoint, if you decide to make some noise, he will investigate, thats his job.
3rd - Plan your approach, recon the area. The area (field) where the Mg nests are looking at is their kill zone, you can still go into that area, but there is about a 4-500m range in which if the mg's see you they will open up on you, nothing i coded or scripted, thats just their placement and field of view they have, if you decide to walk or fly into their killzone then obviously thats a decision you made.

But basically to call for a mortar strike or heli transport , cas, or supply drop, press 0-8 on your keyboard, pressing 0 (zero) will bring up the menu, and then press 8 on the menu will list all the options.
Hmm thats odd, i never had such experience and i been playing the mission on and off since November last year as i was building it, there was another player of the mission who said one of the heli's blew up when he got in it, something i need to look into, thanks for the feedback!
As for the AI, nothing i did their on either missions, the A3 version is just using vanilla AI settings, and idk why the AI in the original is not as responsive like the vanilla version.
I can mess around with it, i do have a code, tbh i like how the original plays vs the A3 version.
That mounted truck btw is one of the objectives, so you'll want to blow that truck up to complete the task for it.
