I'm afraid to use this because I don't want to get ban
The only weapons that will probably have issues are the LAR & Centerfire (their sounds are in the same file by default), and the Spitfire and Dragonsbreath (they share firing sounds by default).
I have a question. You said in the description that some weapons fire sounds were used for multiple weapons. Therefore, if I choose one weapon, will it affect the the other default weapon fire sounds?
The 501-Rifle is its own entity. Not only being a completely different rifle, but also one with a much more powerful caliber. It just sounds really odd to hear that SMG sound again when using. I know the SMG sound on it is different, but it's really just the Fallout 3 one -- now the HMtech-201 sound -- but a little deeper in pitch. It is really just a silly personal gripe, but a more powerful sound effect on the 501 would be really cool.
Ah. Well in that case I understand your usage of it on KF2s .45. Point taken.
The 1911 uses the 9mm sound mainly because of the weapon match, in New Vegas there is an actual .45 auto pistol in Honest Hearts and it uses that sound, so I don't think I'll change it because I try to match guns wherever I could (same thing with the Tommy Gun, it uses the same sound as the .45 auto SMG from Honest Hearts).
Unfortunately I dislike pretty much all the firing sounds from Fallout 4 and I feel even one would be out of place (with the exception of the Flamer that I used because it's just a lighter version of the Fallout 3 one). I did actually do some digging there while developing this mod and was unsatisfied with what I found, like none of them felt *quite* good enough, sadly :c
That being said, I feel it is a little underwhelming to re-use the same sound effect from the SMG on it. Do you think you'd be interested in giving it a bit of a more unique, impactful sound effect down the line?
Did pick up a 1911 at some point during a match and I kind of feel the same way; just sounds a little weak for a .45. Would you be willing to return to these weapons later? The DE.50 roars like it should, I feel the 1911 should be given the same justice!
Thanks again for your hard work, no matter what, this is a huge step up from the awfully dull stock sound effects. Please consider it!
I could actually fuck you.
