btw if you use ANY mod that requires PS (like LW2 Primary secondaries) subscribe to this mod last (otherwise they will all overwrite this mod) and lead to broken visuals or missing upgrade slots

This mod looks great, but I can't seem to get it to work. It doesn't change the pistol's damage and it also doesn't allow me to attach any upgrades to them. I don't use any other mod that messes with pistols besides Iridar's Autopistol Overhaul. I already checked the XComWOTC_Pistol_Overhaul.ini file and everything seems to be fine, so I have no clue why it isn't working. Does anyone have any ideas?

@Veehementia Hm, still no luck. Only the stock and the repeater are broken though. I could provide screenshots if need be. For the stock, it appears in the right place, but a second one also appears in a weird spot. While for the repeater, it also appears in the right spot, but a second one ends up floating under the barrel of the gun.

@SpazProjects Sounds like a load order issue. Try unsubbing from both mods, then resubbing in order to PS and then my CPO. If that doesn't fix it, I don't know what the issue might be.

Small glitch with primary secondary. Everything plays as normal, however, some of the attachments visuals for handguns are sort of glitchy, appearing twice on the gun. Is there any possible thing I could do to fix this?

All right, thanks. I'm still trying to track down the culprit, but unfortunately due to an unrelated bug (damn you, "reduce beginner VO"!), I have to start a new campaign anyway... >.>

@damien.nas You have another mod that changes weapon damage values. That, or Weapon Tiers Overhaul is loaded after my mod, and it uses its own values rather than mine. In which case you can modify it so that its values match mine.

Hello, thank you for your great mods, I use pretty much all of them :)

In your description it says that conventional "Weapon damage has been changed from 2-3 to a solid 2." But in my game it says damage for pistols is at '1-3' rather than the 'solid 2' mentioned above. I'm just curious as to whether that's a bug or if I'm missing something.

I haven't gotten to higher tiers yet, but I'm using mods like True Primary Secondaries and Weapon Tier Overhaul.

Afraid not, although looking back through the comments, it would appear that the standard Primary Secondaries had a similar problem once. It would appear to have re-surfaced, odd given there hasn't been an update for it recently.

@Black are you using True Primary Secondaries? That is most likely the culprit. If it is so, I can fix it.

Been getting some weird behavior recently. The new attachments aren't 'attaching' to the weapon, resulting in (for example) the laser sight on the CV pistol floating below the rail, pointing down at a 45 degree angle, or the stock appearing attached to the grip. It also doesn't remove the OLD attachment models either.

Any idea what might be causing it?

Yeah that would be great. I have the plasma replaced with coil and always shits me that the pistols don't have attachments

@Masterman I don't quite know what you mean with "a WSR of the attachments" but if that's any help I'm planning to release soon a mod that simply adds visual attachments to all tiers of pistols, so perhaps that might be your thing.

For the Coil pistol are they custom meshs or in game ones? If the latter would it be possible to get a WSR of the attachments?

@Zwitter Any mod that also changes pistol stats, if loaded after mine, will take priority with its changes. Either that, or you disabled the stat patching functionality in the config and forgot about it.

hmm, i'm halfway through my playthrough, just realising that even though the mod is giving me secondary weapon slots and attachment models.
It is not patching the weapon stats, i tried resubscribing and deleting config but not seem to be working yet, any conflicts you aware of?

Musashi mod eveverything reloaded does allow you to mod pistols as well as auto pistols at the armory tab,

i am only puzzled with why do i have automatic gremlin mods as well, not sure what does having attachment on gremlins do and where can i disable it because it affects balance

@Zwitter Oh boy.

1 - If the upgrade slots are too many for your liking, you're welcome to modify then yourself to better fit your preference. Every value is modifiable in this mod for this exact reason.

2 - It does work mid campaign, but I always recommend starting a new one when installing overhaul mods, as to make them load correctly.

3 - The only mods you need are the ones listed as necessary. Unfortunately, the only way to apply upgrades to pistol is the squad select screen, specifically Robojumper's. Remember to uncheck the "Show upgrades slots only for Primaries" option in Robojumper's Squad Select in order for it to show the slots.

4 - I'm going to remake this mod soon, with a much smaller scope: merely adding visual attachments to pistols, no other stuff. If that's what you prefer, I invite you to wait until I push the update.

Lago has come out if a new version of Coil Tier (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1258531853) and Laser Tier (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1259918108) Replacer and this mod no longer works with them.

@GenuineJohn I see no reason why they shouldn't; my mod modifies pistols, not autopistols. You shouldn't need to do anything to make them work together.

Does this work with your TLP Tier Replacer? All my pistols and traditional handguns have 2-3 dmg, and I don't have any other weapon rebalance mods.

@Korbis unsubscribe from both mods, delete the files, and follow this guide . Then re-subscribe, in this order, to WTO and my mod. It should fix the issue, hopefully.

I'm having an issue where, after installing WTO, this mod's changes to pistol stats are replaced with what I believe are that mod's stats, so conventional pistols do 1-3 damage instead of a flat 2.

I tried unsubscribing and deleting this mod's files before resubscribing, to force it to load after all other mods, but the issue persists.

@Masterman you can always change the values you don't like. This mod only affects vanilla pistols, so pistols from other mods (such as Utility and my TLP ones) are not affected. Their values can be modified in the respective config files.

So I saw how this changes pistol damage, seems a bit unfair when using the Akimbo as it always does a set damage. I also use Utility pistols as well and your TLP pistol mod and they both still do a spread amount not set (eg 3-6 not 6)

How does it work with primary secondaries? That mod tweaks pistol damage and range as well. Which mod's changes take precedence? Primary secondaries or this one?

@Lynn0605 you need Robojumper's Squad Select to be able to mod pistols. Remember to uncheck the "Upgrade Icons Only For Primaries" checkbox [iridar.net] in Robojumper's Squad Select configuration. You can do that in .ini configuration or by using the Mod Config Menu mod. Then you can click on the small white boxes on the side of the weapon name and instantly access to the upgrade menu.

One thing that I'm having trouble figuring out is how to mod the pistols in game? Is there an "upgrade pistol" option that i'm not seeing? Or does that functionality need to be enabled in the ini?

The laser pistols should probably have a +5 aim bonus like the rest of the laser tier does as well.
