Got it to work with True Primaries thanks to @Stukov81-T.TV, I can have the Sawed-off as primary, but I can't shoot it.

Almost everything can be made to work with True Primary Secondaries. Only thing i still have to figure out is the animations, as for some things it is pointing the finger on opponent instead of the arcthrower or stuff.

Is there a way to just remove the holotarger entirely? I never use it and it's the only item my soldiers default equip which is annoying. I don't wanna remove anything besides the holotargeter

CONFIRMED. This mod IS broken with TRUE primary secondaries. HOWEVER! This mod WORKS with the original PRIMARY SECONDARIES!!!!!!

First of all, I apologize for the delay in work due to the Highlander issue, and I have sad news for those who have been waiting for the mod. Sadly my computer was attacked by ransomware a few days ago. Because of this, many of the mod materials I was working on were lost.

Currently, my main work computer has been serviced by a mechanic. I'm just hoping they can recover as much material as possible, and I'm looking for a backup copy of my XCOM mod. Sorry to keep you guys waiting.

PS: Coincidentally, I first found the CIV 6 mod file that had been neglected for about 3 years. I will serve in another Firaxis game for a while until the data is restored or I get a call from the mechanic.

If you don't follow the below steps, the weapons will appear as being locked.
Also, keep in mind that just because you can USE the weapons on vanilla or mod classes, doesn't mean they'll be effective. Unless the mod was specifically made with primary secondary LW weapons in mind, they probably won't work very well (ie: They may not benefit from the same abilities that the secondaries do, etc)

For anyone who's confused, by default, this mod only adds certain weapons as primaries for specific classes for the Long War of the Chosen mod. It doesn't add the primaries for Vanilla classes or other modded classes. It CAN work with vanilla classes and other mod classes but you need to edit the config files yourself.

You need to navigate to the game or mod's XComClassData.ini file and add one or more of the following lines under the class template:

+AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon, WeaponType="SawedOffShotgun")
+AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon, WeaponType="arcthrower")
+AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon, WeaponType="holotargeter")
+AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon, WeaponType="lw_gauntlet")

Is this mod broken? I don't seem to be able to get any other secondary to show up as a primary besides the lw 2 gauntlet

@Theobald I believe it was made in that way. But if you go True Primary Secondaries' config folder there's an XComClassData.ini in there. that's where it adds these weapons to classes

Do you need specifik perks to use the different weapons? i can only seem to use the Sawed off shotgun, every other weapon is locked.

I Cant seem to get it to work. The weapons show up in the primary Window but they are blacked out with "Cannot equip" over them. Derp.

Awesome mod, try giving your ranger a sawed off shotgun with a tier three improved mag, you wont regret it.

I'm rather confused as to how to make this mod work. I want the Infiltrator custom class to be able to use a sawed-pff shotgun as a primary weapon but even with this mod it doesn't seem to work ( I also went and added it to the list of allowed weapons in the classe's ini file) Does it only work on newly recruited characters and not those that were already present in my save file ?

Hm. In my game, the gauntlet floats next to the soldier's arm rather than being on it.

Anyone know the cause of this and/or how to fix it?

OK so I've just had issues getting this and ballistic shields to work properly in LWOTC, the problem is in XcomClassData.ini and requires the classes to be changed from:

Hey alterd, so just to double check, are you saying your mods aren't compatible with RPGO?? Or are, but might not be in the future?

I guess if it's not, maybe can you please throw it in the description as a known incompatibility?

Sorry, but I can not handle content related to RPG overhaul. This has clearly exceeded what I can afford with my ability. Because of this, all the mods I make appear to be incompatible with the RPG overhaul.

A couple of issues with this:

1. The Holotargeter no longer gets to use its primary function as a non-turn-ending action. Instead, using it without using Rapid Targeting results in ending your turn. This is not like how it works in RPGO.

2. The LW2 Gauntlet currently isn't supplying Blaster Bombs when equipped in the Pistol slot, at least while playing with RPGO.

Does this change the Arc Thrower and Sawed-off to use ammo instead of charges/cooldown? Primary versions should be able to be used more than x times per mission.

I love this. Only critique is that I kinda wish we used the rifle/shotgun holding(not pumping in the case of the shotgun obviously) animations. Though I realize they're probably too short. No pressure, like I said, I love this mod
