Hi,I would love to add it to a server pack. Will give credit in description and a big Thank you.
BARRY_050 21 Nov, 2024 @ 6:02pm
The last update ruined the burn rate ...but i think its still better \o/.
To bad Dayz devs wants us to have to f chop wood all day long on Sakhal...where its -10 celcius.

Just tested this, and based on my test (1 firewood in a barrel) went from about 4 minutes to 24 minutes. So looks like a 6x increase. Works for me!!!

Should sit nicely with https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2905487932 ;)

Happy to meet this mod!
Can I repackage this mod?
Credits are on offer!
AWAKE 17 May, 2023 @ 10:24am
Hey Good mod but indeed it would be great to add a way to configure your own burning fire time, or at least give a little bit more info inside your mod description for new server owner :)
Old_Wild_Lynx 31 Jan, 2023 @ 4:16pm
I'm also interested in knowing if you can adjust the duration time of the fire. If yes, how? Thank you
yomao 11 Oct, 2022 @ 5:42am
Can i repack your mod? will give proper credits and link to your page!
Grim 3 Oct, 2022 @ 9:11pm
does this work with forever burning fires?
bri5150 3 Feb, 2022 @ 3:03pm
I wish there was a mod that made wood burn 50% longer. How much more time does this add to a fire? Double? Does this work with 1.15?
LepriKaan 30 Aug, 2021 @ 12:12am
Please add adjust files for burn time. Amazing work, hope to see this implemented so I can use it on my server.
bri5150 14 Aug, 2021 @ 11:41am
Can you adjust the burn time? If so, how? Thanks!
Hoot 14 Jul, 2021 @ 9:07am
@Johnny B Yeah it was something else - something was gas lighting the campfires Xd Resolved
Johnny B  [author] 13 Jul, 2021 @ 9:24pm
@⎝⧹Hoot⧸⎠ | IFN.GG I just tested this mod on a vanilla server and it loaded just fine.
Johnny B  [author] 13 Jul, 2021 @ 8:30pm
I will test this on a fresh server within the next hour. It should not have any issues with 1.13 though as I have this built into my server mod and that loaded with no edits for 1.13.
Hoot 13 Jul, 2021 @ 7:29pm
@Johnny B

Picking up Unknown Module with the mod pack unsure if it has to due with 1.13
Apocalyptos 15 Dec, 2020 @ 6:02am
@Johnny B Thanks !
Johnny B  [author] 14 Dec, 2020 @ 7:00pm
@Roger Dupuis Sure can.
Apocalyptos 14 Dec, 2020 @ 11:04am
I can add your mod in a "server Pack" without modifications and a link to your original publication ?
Nagi 19 Jul, 2020 @ 6:17am
No rush, I'm just glad that you're still working on it!

I'd like suggest a feature, if that's okay. Assuming fire barrels don't just count as campfires, can you also adjust the length of those as well? If they already just count as campfires in-game then there's no issue, I'll just adjust campfire values.
Johnny B  [author] 18 Jul, 2020 @ 11:43pm
I won't be able to start working on the update until next weekend at the earliest.
Johnny B  [author] 18 Jul, 2020 @ 11:42pm
@Nagi This should still be working for 1.08.

There has not been any updates since the key chance last June due to being too busy IRL. I have been reading over how to implement the .JSON file system into this and have been attempting to get it to work but I have not yet completed it. I have additional features included in the plans for the next update but it will take me a little bit of time here.

If I can't get the other items working too, I will just release with a configurable .JSON file for the campfires only and then work on the remaining planned features.
Nagi 18 Jul, 2020 @ 3:34pm
Is this still working for 1.08? I see there haven't been many updates since the key change.

I'm having an issue where I change the settings in the pbo, but after a repack, the client and server are no longer synced. I keep getting kicked off saying that my client has a pbo that the server doesn't (even if i had replaced the client's original pbo with the modded one). Any advice would be appreciated.

Also, I read in a previous comment that you would have some config file to modify to tweak the values? I never saw a config folder or anything outside of the pbo, so I'm wondering if there's some other file I need to download?
Johnny B  [author] 20 Jan, 2020 @ 1:01pm
Yeah I'm not entirely sure the exact value changes they made but yeah. There's always room for improvement on the Vanilla side. I am pretty sure that when I made the mod, it was about just under an hour IRL with the fireplace loaded with firewood and sticks. It was nice.
Jay8454 20 Jan, 2020 @ 10:41am
I still see a balancing issue with the game and that's why I am interested in your mod.
Even though I use the stacking mod too.
Johnny B  [author] 20 Jan, 2020 @ 10:32am
@Jay8454 It should be. Might not be too much different than Vanilla anymore as with the 1.06 patch, the Devs finally made their fire burning rates better, which is essentially what this mod was for.
Jay8454 20 Jan, 2020 @ 4:24am
Still working on 1.06 ?
GoFireUp 17 Oct, 2019 @ 3:55pm
works on our server
Tchortiderritta 17 Oct, 2019 @ 10:56am
@Johnny Great, I'll give it a try and report back if anything comes up!
Johnny B  [author] 16 Oct, 2019 @ 4:36pm
@VladimirIlich This mod should still work with 1.05 as nothing has changed since I had to update the key back in June.
Johnny B  [author] 16 Oct, 2019 @ 4:35pm
@c0verfire This mod has absolutely nothing to do with item conditions so no idea why you may have experienced that.
Tchortiderritta 16 Oct, 2019 @ 12:09pm
Anyone using this? Does it work ok w 1.05 ?
c0verfire 5 Sep, 2019 @ 5:18am
Hey all, I noticed when we installed this mod that all of the players clothing stayed pristine. Issue went away after we removed it. Any thoughts as to why?
GoFireUp 3 Sep, 2019 @ 10:47am
update please
na8stradamus 27 Jun, 2019 @ 7:22pm
Super appreciate it!
Johnny B  [author] 27 Jun, 2019 @ 6:54pm
Mod has been updated to V3 key
na8stradamus 27 Jun, 2019 @ 6:15pm
One of my favorite mods, but can you please update for 1.04. It needs the new V3 signature.
Johnny B  [author] 27 Jun, 2019 @ 12:14pm
@PhoenixTheSage I'm honestly not sure, but I would think so as this is just adjusting the rate fires burn through their fuel. If this was a new item, I would think it would need to be client as well.
PhoenixTheSage 27 Jun, 2019 @ 11:47am
Can this be used as a server-only addon, per update 1.04?
Johnny B  [author] 6 Jun, 2019 @ 8:34am
@A_POOPING_LAMA - Yes it is.

@BjörnZ - I will have a profile folder in place soon. I'm sorry I haven't gotten that finished yet, I just had a lot of stuff thrown at me IRL that has kept me away from implementing it. I have got some progress done on getting the Profile Folder setup, I just haven't completed it yet.
A_POOPING_LAMA 6 Jun, 2019 @ 5:39am
Is this repackable?
Johnny B  [author] 29 May, 2019 @ 4:33pm
I want to thank everyone for all the positive comments and the subscriptions. This is definitely encouraging to continue this road
Johnny B  [author] 29 May, 2019 @ 4:32pm
@Mufasa1g this mod should have nothing to do with the user actions as it is only affecting the rate items are burning at. What other mods are you using if you don't mind me asking?
Johnny B  [author] 29 May, 2019 @ 4:31pm
@S4wy3R , I have already have this in the works and just need to test it first before I release it.
ChloBEAR 29 May, 2019 @ 2:45pm
can no longer ignite camp fires...
Sawyerka 29 May, 2019 @ 2:01pm
Hello. Can you change growing time of beard? Is this possible?
Markus Lanz 29 May, 2019 @ 8:51am
You sir, you are the spirit of modding.

thx!!!!
Johnny B  [author] 27 May, 2019 @ 10:56am
@KnightRaider making the fireplace persistent would be adjusted in your types.xml file inside your mission folder. Just adjust the lifetime value on for the Fireplace.

<type name="Fireplace">
<lifetime>7200</lifetime> <!-- This line here-->
<flags count_in_cargo="0" count_in_hoarder="0" count_in_map="1" count_in_player="0" crafted="1" deloot="0"/>
</type>
Johnny B  [author] 27 May, 2019 @ 10:51am
@KillSwitch @andremelo90 I am currently working on this to make it easy for server owners to easily adjust these settings themselves. I will have an update ready soon! Thanks for your feedback!
