This mod works fine for me in 300+ mods, non-LWotC, generating Focus via Rend as intended. Just leaving a comment to ensure it's not obsoleted. I was worried about that due to the comments.

I still don't get focus, even with samurai fix with added line. Perhaps there is problem with combination of mods (psi overhail(psions), psi melee)?
Coqui Argento 6.1. klo 19.13
FYI, what the description means by being compatible with psionic specializations is that the skills from those mods can be used with the secondary shard gauntlet instead of the psi amp.

I suppose the issue with not gaining focus is either directly tied to this mod's secondary shard gauntlets, or the same issue that the Samurai Focus Fix resolved, which is the fact that LWOTC removed the focus kill tracker apparently. Knowing that, I tried to fix Rend not giving focus on kill as well so I wouldn't necessarily have to use the Samurai class. However, I failed. What I did was
adding the line +PerksToGrantFocusKillTracking=Rend on the Xcomgame.ini inside the mod's config folder, however that did absolutely nothing. I am now looking on that as it's possible that Rend has a different name in the gamefiles.

Has anyone found a way to generate Focus with this? Base Templars work fine, but either this or Psionic Melee prevent kills from doing so.
bbbbbruh 4.7.2024 klo 22.21
For some reason kills with the secondary gauntlets won't generate focus.
Aries 8.8.2022 klo 8.05
What issues does using this with the shardwielder mod create?
Linarkspain 10.12.2021 klo 8.01
Ionic storm does nothing, it just makes the character move and stay in place.
Mr.Smiles 17.4.2021 klo 12.30
@HotChocLez, will this play well with the ranger class for instance? I have psi soldiers (using psi overhual v3) and I usually make the gifted disciples but was wondering if the gauntlets work with bladestorm?
Zenken 16.4.2021 klo 20.53
So for some reason the class abilities that require Rend aren't available to unlock with the secondary gauntlets. Is there any idea as to why that is?
Woldy 17.12.2020 klo 11.53
Kinda sucks that The Gauntlets arent in the primary slot. A nice update to the Mod could so you could pick and chose weather you want to use them as Primary or secondary. Like, just unlock them in both load out slots no?
Vernon Litian 23.8.2019 klo 5.59
I see. Thanks!
Xenesthis  [tekijä] 22.8.2019 klo 18.15
It's a problem with Musashi's Primary Secondaries animations and any secondary melee weapons that have a non-standard animation
Vernon Litian 22.8.2019 klo 6.21
Pretty nice work, indeed. Really loved the specialization, thanks for the mod. Btw if the soldier has a primary pistol, when it uses Rend it doesn't seem to use the gauntlet but the ranger meele animation, waving a invisible sword. Is there a way to fix that?
endersblade 20.8.2019 klo 17.00
This doesn't seem to use the Templar Gauntlet attack animations, just regular sword animations...
endersblade 18.8.2019 klo 11.28
Also, why not use Primary Gauntlets?
endersblade 18.8.2019 klo 11.27
Digging this mod! Maybe you could make two trees? One for gauntlet-based fighting, one for the Psi stuff?
IceMaverick 6.6.2019 klo 11.44
Well, with no answer, I guess I'm going to use both and figure out why I shouldn't use both for myself.
IceMaverick 30.5.2019 klo 20.43
So uh... Why exactly shouldn't we use this and Shardwielder at the same time? What kinds of problems does it cause?
Xenesthis  [tekijä] 30.5.2019 klo 16.50
My objective with this specialization was to make a "mini-templar", not focus exclusively on the gauntlet skills.
MrCloista 30.5.2019 klo 15.19
True enough I guess, but with the limited available specs if you're using the new Commander's Choice second wave option, personally I think they should be here.
Xenesthis  [tekijä] 30.5.2019 klo 15.07
Momentum and Parry were not included because Implacable and Untouchable serve virtually the same role.
MrCloista 30.5.2019 klo 13.34
Templar_Bladestorm would be the one that works with the Gauntlets, I'd add that to the tree (along with Momentum and Parry, personally, at cost of Volt and Invert).
Xenesthis  [tekijä] 28.5.2019 klo 18.53
@Valvatorez If you want to play a Psi-Op/Templar hybrid I highly recommend using my Psionic Specializations pack so you can grab Psi Op skills on the RPGO soldier

@AzureTerra Not sure if the Ranger tree's bladestorm will work with the gauntlets but it might. If not, I might see how much trouble it would be to get it working.
Azure 28.5.2019 klo 16.59
Or how to make sure your "templar" gets bladestorm
Myrianne 28.5.2019 klo 16.26
I played a little XCOM a couple months ago and got frustrated with the Shardwielder and the inability to create a Templar-like RPGO character in general. Came back specifically looking for something like this, and lo and behold, it was just posted today.

This mod will be the reason for my return to XCOM 2 (this time). Thanks for the good work.
Musashi 28.5.2019 klo 10.35
Congrats on the release fam <3

Does the Psi-operative get these abilities? They lag behind when every other soldier can get Serial or Reaper to kill multiple Advent. Something needed when you boost the number of enemies on the maps.
Goatmaster3000 28.5.2019 klo 7.33
My dream of having all of my units be warlocks wacky wizards has come true!
