(my opinion on the matter now) Because in reality, if there was a real apocalypse, someone (who was decent at the minimal at DIY)would probably make something like that, to improvise and the weapon would act like both a club (wrench head) and a cutting tool/bladed weapon (saw blades).Also to comment on what'd you do if you were to make a machete addon, this was mde for the GameBanana Original Weapons Contest, so it had to be smething different from your run-of-the-mill machete.A reskin on it's own would have to be GOOD and I mean pretty damn good to get noticed.... but it isn't always about popularity ._. a lot of people make new models for the machete and texture that, but keep it as a machete...

No offense, but that's kinda wrong. The crowbar is classified as a "shredding weapon" whcih means it shreds the infected apart, it's the only "shredding" weapon besides the chainsaw. Plus this weapon has serrated edges on it's blade, which would cause it to "shred" things, not "cut" things like a machete does (heck it's even in the name). So why not make a version for the crowbar sometime?

Custom animations are odd because slashes on zombies bodies are done based on original animations. It just doesn't fit.

Also yes like EnclaveSoldier said the bioshock wrench would be a great crowbar replacement! But I don't use mods period except that once for the hell of it.

It's shoving animation is atrocious. This thing is also unrealistic not like the game is though. Still I dont really care for it. The trailor is horriable absolutly terriable. If i was going to make a weapon mod it'd just simply be a re-texture like a different looking machete for example. This is just my opinion so don't treat this comment like I'm saying it as fact. Also I'm directing the that sentence before this one at everyone not just the author. And I don't think this author is shitty or stupid of course. I just think he's wasteing his time. Again though it's just my opinion.

actually, it takes off limbs and leaves gashes, much like this weapon would, it would still fit better for a crowbar replacer, machetes are a clean single blade cut, and a double bladed wrench would leave more of a chunk missing.

@Paulie It's done for the Machete because the Crowbar in-game is a blunt weapon and doesn't "cut". There will be a no blade version of this wrench to replace the crowbar when i have a while to edit it a recompile. :)

newsflash laneblitz, just about everything on L4D2 concerning weapons is reskin.
