Namely:
- historical AI behavior
- historical flags/CoAs
- all in-game events without the use of focus trees
- uncensor everything
- bug fixes not covered by the Paradox
- ability to change ideology anytime without the focus tree
You can try to use them together, but I don't see the reason to do it. Road to 56 is not historically accurate. It has over 20+ new focus trees and they will overlap with stuff included in HIEP and VFNP. Some flags won't load (because Road to 56 uses it's own ahistorical flags). Peace conference scripts will not work and produce significant ammount of border gore etc. etc.
okay It's done and it's now compatible.
If you play with the Expert AI just wait for the settings event to fire and disable everything.
Still all of your other mods are awsome
Historical Immersion Event Pack is where all of them are.
Expert AI breaks absolutely everything in it including my AI scripts, peace conference events etc. and is incompatible with almost every other mod on Steam, but hopefuly when I patch it they will be compatible.
In which exact mod of all the mods in your unofficial patch are these buffs/nerfs located?
Maby I can turn off that and keep others.
there are a ton of them:
- there's one for Japan that disables the bugged infinite Ichi-Go idea and adds debuffs for Japan against China after Ichi-Go has ended (currently -0.1 attack against China for two years)
- major Chinese offensive event/idea that fires in 1944 giving +0,25 attack to China against Japan
- major Soviet offensive event/idea that fires in 1944 giving +0.25 attack to Soviets against Germany (to make sure the Soviets grab at least Warsaw and Kaliningrad before the Allies)
- Italian idea that fires after the Ethiopian War and blocks them from joining any faction before the June of 1940 (it won't fire with historical focus turned off)
- similar ideas for Romania and Hungary to force them to join the Axis no sooner than on historical dates when on historical focus on
In the next patch you will be able to disable all of them.
I have never experienced France beating Germany in Vanilla historical settings.
Any other buffs/nerfs you have added that are good to know about?
Cheers!
The buff is not in vanilla. In 1.9.1 vanilla France is often able to beat Germany in 1940.
I added the German buff in the mod to prevent France from beating Germany in 1940. It's controversial change though, so I added an option to disable it if you wish to do so.
Yeah I know it's cheap and lazy way to fix it, but I'm working to improve the Ideas and AI - and make the mod users able to disable and enable these changes.
To me that's lazy low quality way of achieving a perticular outcome, I wish Paradox could have designed a historical correct outcome of the war without dumb buffs but rather intelligent play, after all I stands for Intelligent in AI.
Do you know if the game straight up buffs other countries at other times? Like the Western Allies or Soviets after two years?
It's basically a beta version of the settings event. It only does one thing so far, but in the future it will also allow to disable other ideas and peace conference events.
If you play with all options on default then Germany will get a significant boost to attack, defense and division speed for the first two years of war. If you want weak Germany that can be easily beaten in 1939-1940 then you may choose to disable that buff.
What exactly does this and other options in your mods do?
No - some of the mods may be used with Road to 56.
It's the absolute opposite of Road to 56. My mod pack promotes realism, immersion and historical accuracy.
I'm currently working on the Historical Immersion Event Pack performance/balance update, but my job keeps me from focusing on the update, so it won't be released in March. I would like to implement the proper Yugoslavian and Siamese events into it (with pictures and leader portraits). And I had an idea to make it so that the player can choose at the beginning of the game (through events) which minor countries would go which ideology, so the game could be set up to produce communist Iran, fascist Argentina, democratic Siam and other weird combinations. Right now we can only modify the ideologies of the countries that use custom focus trees.
I'm also waiting for Paradox to actually release 1.9.1 patch because it would really help me.
I hope you like it.
I'm just a single guy, but if you need my stuff I'm here.
I know it's possible. Skyrim had unofficial patch made by the community 9 years ago and was by far the most downloaded mod for that game.
Maybe in the future when all of my mods are finally complete. Right now it would be pain to update all in one version every time I make a change in one of the mods.
This way you can choose which part you like and which you don't.
If you want CoAs, but like different flags or like flags, but don't want to have war flags you can choose to do so.
If I could I would mod the main menu and give you ability to pick the options from within the game, but for now this is the solution.
Thank you for being brave and bold in un-censoring history in these strange times we live in, I cant even begin to imagine the hate mail you may receive. Cheers to you mate.
