At least one of them is a Stalker map, agroprom. I'm not sure about the other anymore
Jorge 8 Aug, 2022 @ 11:43pm
what maps did you use in the screenshots
Mister Cthulhu 7 Sep, 2021 @ 5:11pm

Gun models, voice effects?

If you plan on uploading the models at all, you should ask the original creator for them as well.

I'm generally okay if you reupload this stuff since the code is absolutely basic.

Hi, please can modify and upload as part of my servers content pack? I will credit you in the description.

VJ Version would be awesome to use if you ever have the time.

@[TG] Rawlings, Animations are gotten by using Gildors Umodel which extracts them in ActorX format. You then import them into 3DS Max using his ActorX importer.

You'll need to import the original PSK skinned mesh first though as assuming these are based off my version which IIRC was basically the original skeleton with ValveBiped names and adjusted bone orientations.

I exported the sound files that I need directly from the game last night so I'm good on those. The animations you're talking about are in the game's folder as well right? Finna take a look at that, might contact you at some point should I run into any issues

I can see that the Slavers and the Heavys appear to be heavily distorted (guessing these are trying to conform to the Valve Biped Skeleton?) If you use the original animations/skeletons, it should fix those. ;)

Looking through my archives, I do still have the source for a lot of the preliminary animation conversion tests I did back in 2010 when the game was supported by Umodel. The process for converting these is really easy and is done via Noesis:

@[TG] Rawlings, I have access to the original animations that these had + sound effects. If you want to enhance these further, let me know and I'll send them over. They're in ActorX format and import really easily into 3DS Max.

alright cool! great job man
[TG] Rawlings  [author] 7 Jun, 2019 @ 7:45pm
I will upload them with the combine and rebel animations and might add more stuff to them in the future, I haven't really played Republic Commando in years so I don't even remember whtat these guys do lmao. I'll be working with an animator soon tho, but for now they will have the standart animations.
Mister Cthulhu 7 Jun, 2019 @ 7:36pm
oh alright thanks!, will their snpc version have a custom animation or just the combine and rebel animation?
[TG] Rawlings  [author] 7 Jun, 2019 @ 7:23pm
I didn't create the models myself, they are what they are. I do think they are great tho. Sure, I can make VJ SNPCs out of them, no problem. Give me like a day and they should be done. I'll try to find their sound files too.
Mister Cthulhu 7 Jun, 2019 @ 6:29pm
do you know how to turn these into snpcs? cause i'd love to see trandoshan snpcs! great work, plus i think the slaver version and heavy version are kinda bugged, like in the screenshots they seem quite squished.
