Hi, somewhere down the line the workshop system was changed. I wasn't aware of the fact, this actually broke this mod though. Most likely that's an easy fix I can apply soon.
Thanks for letting me now.
To be honest I was surprised when you ending up making it!
You seem to help a lot of people out on steam, and I really appreciate your efforts.
Most of my mods that have different versions do contain different approaches. So while one is the newest one that potentialy also benefits from more experience in doing these textures on my side, another one might fit your likings a lot better.
Only very few mods (including this one) indeed have a 'real' content update that just fixes a bug or improves some specific aspects - like this one featuring an updated deep water and updated wave effect while beeing the same content otherwise.
And for it is like that in this case I decided to update the v1 mod now that this is possible again (updating a published mod at all...) instead of upgrading both mods.
I just didn't delete the v2 in case time proves me wrong and I do need it. Maybe I should set it to hidden so no one gets confused...
So you might give v1 a try?
Meanwhile, Oxam build up house and others substructure. It still run on very well. i didn't crash with this patch yet. So, a eruption, melt of iceberg, why not?
Ey, yes, add also more form of iceberg .
Well, there are only two ways to achieve this.
a) adding new terrains to the dat file - which means the map would only be usaable with this edited dat file and incompatible with every other dat file mod (so I don't recomment this).
b) while there is no way of adding water effects to non water terrains without dat file edits, I could create a terrain pack exactly fitting such a map. You can take a look at my halloween pack, it coveres all terrains with lava and also adds lava to the water. (I also did some other 'themed' terrain packs)
That way you would need to use this terrain pack to get the real feeling of such a map, but it wouldn't crash the game not using them. Of course this would need some thoughts about which exact terrains such a map needs so every unneeded one can be converted into an additional terrain instead. This also would mean you shouldn't use such a terrain pack with any other map as it wouldn't fit with 'randomly' replaced terrains.
Add + solfatare (sulfure , fumerolles ...) close to volcano. Water + lava = beautiful ; Lava + Ice = Ice melts, and crater emits ashes like Barðabunga or Hekla recent eruption .
Volcano could be animated with eruptions ( smoke , ashes, solfatares) ; then upon a time eruption ceases and lava dries and crater emit less and less ashes and gaz. Eruption occure sometimes, no all the time and no anywhere ( according to choice in parameters about place in eruption).
Meanwhile, it's too weird to can fish or sail on lava, Lol. =D
Switching between mods is possible but only with some manual work or by using my mod manager.
I cannot paint with water anymore.
And I want to know this because of the fact I'd replace existing land terrains and this doesn't work without drawbacks.
In case I use some grass, most maps beside desert ones will be covered in lava - so you can choose between desert, snow, lava more or less.
I can change the desert or some other not that often used terrains, resulting in lava not beeing that dominant, but this also means most maps won't have lava at all.
So this highly depends on personal taste - changing just 'some' terrains will most likely not perfectly cover your likings.
Please tell me which terrains you want to be changed so it really fits your likings - and if you just want these lava terrains or something like my halloween pack - I could change snow into burnt ground for example - that way you would have grass/desert/lava for example.
So this is no option for now. For now I can replace existing terrains. This means in case you want water and lava, I have to replace some land terrains with lava - which means all existing maps could have used terrains beeing replaced with lava.
I thought about all this when doing my lava water. And the only option not breaking any exting stuff (and the visually most satisfying one) was to replace the water - unless changing all like I did in my halloween pack.
thank you
I released it as a halloween special:

Sounds awesome though; I can't wait :)
First I tried to cover everything with lava and volcanic rocks. That looked really awesome, like playing in hell, but there were no real gaming possible for you couldn't really tell were land and water were placed beside the minimap.^^
Second try was to coveer the land only with volcanic rock and ash. That too helped me to figure out the best looking terrain textures, but wasn't playable as well, as every land terrain looked very similar and the whole screen was red and black...
For game objects like trees, mines, berry bushes and such I thought to make them looking like beeing covered with ashes. Similar to the ones you can find in my winter pack.
What do you think?
Damn, I have to start organizing all mod ideas/requests to not forget some of them... ^^
