Fairly certain the models you're asking about comes with source filmmaker. In the tf2 dooms day lot. Here: props_doomsday\power_core_type
I have been working on an animation for that but it's proving a bit challenging not to say I've given up but yeah just letting you know I have considered that.
Thank you very much !
As for why it's a .mdl format is because that's the format the compiler puts it into and that this it is a model not a particle as models use .mdl particles use .pcf so why you're trying to convert it is kind of confusing.
This all being said from my experience of working with particle systems I found that the model can be placed in a particle system. I found this out with this tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShpZT8mZ1VU&ab_channel=Argodaemon
Sorry for the confusion the reason for it being incomplete are for a few reasons actually.
1) When you submit content on the workshop the
"Includes:
Phobias\General\Effects\Electric_bolt\jointlesselectricbolt.mdl" automatically writes itself out.
So I technically didn't write it out.
2) I've been leaving it like that for all my content and you are the first person in all these years to bring this up.
3) Different operating systems will have slightly different file paths so I could only complete it as far as "\Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\workshop\models\Phobias\General\Effects\Electric_bolt".
WHY is the specified file location incomplete?
SourceFilmmaker \ game \ workshop \ models \ phobias \ general \ effects \ electric_bolt? Why is he just in the models? And why is it in mdl format and not pcf?
I have no way to convert it ...
I do not work much in sfm. Only 200 hours is not enough and I don’t know much, but I need answers to these questions. Thanks in advance for your reply
It's a model
I'm happy for you. Glad you don't have the same issues that others are having on some of my models, issues I have no idea how to fix as the issues don't appear on my end but only theirs.
I hope this works...
In hopes that you use motion editor did you make sure to select only a certain amount of time? Cus jitter won't work if you have all of time selected.
Cheers for the compliment.
If you're looking for Leaf Shield, your best bet would be to head over to the GMod workshop and grab the SSB4 Mega Man stuff from there. Porting it over to SFM will also give you models for a good chunk of Mega Man's various weapons from SSB4.
As for Flame Blast's fire pillars, you'd be better off looking at Pyro's flamethrower particles for that one.
Can't do character models until I learned how to make HWM character models.
Totally appreciate it!

I do apologise that the skins appear to be messing up somehow. A few of my other models I've given the glow effect to work for a majority of everyone but every now and then I get messaged by a few people that it's not working for them. I've been looking most everywhere for an answer on how to fix the issues for the few who have this struggle. It's especially hard for me to find an answer since the models obviously work perfectly on my end.
All I can advise for now is to make sure the camera bloom scale is higher than zero, and if you know how to work with materials and their coding maybe investigate other models that aren't mine that does work for you and see what they've done differently from me to get it to work.
The second I find out how to fix these problems I'll get right on to updating all my models with this issue fixed.
