I have it fixed

I had an old copy of 5.0.1 which only went up to version 1.54 of ATS which I copied to the 270880 folder. I started the game and resubscribed to Realistic Rain 5.0.2 which includes version 1.55 of ATS

The mod now shows as active and green and on version 5.0.2 while still being on version 1.54 of ATS

I then exit the mod manager and then go back into the mod manger and it says 5.0.1 with a red exclamation mark and no picture

Not sure what I am doing wrong or it might be a Steam issue

Hello. You have updated your mod to version 1.55. But in my game mod manager, it is still marked as incompatible.

Directional rain does not blind one side window so much over the other. in fact even with wax on the windows irl they become quite blurry to look through even with light rain. I understand the directional rain but like Kass's weather mods they understand that side window visibility is not meant to be good. Thing is your raindrops look 100x better than his does. To make this a truly "realistic" rain mod you need to add more distortion to the window not getting directly hit with rain drops. Its so odd to see one window just blur and the other have like 30 drops on it. I just needed to say something on that matter. If you combined your drops and Kass's approach toa lack of side window visibility then this mod would truly deserve to be called "realistic". Bottom line I love this mod and appreciate it very much! Even with no changes I will still use it until a better one is made. Congrats becoming a dad!

The option to update the files yourself doesn't work/anymore. I tried, I followed everything but it doesn't work. As another one said below, ATS doesn't recognize the mod in the mod manager. Now we just have to wait for an update. PS : Congratulations for your baby!

Congrats! Like I said before, I think people are just able to update the files themselves by changing a few lines of text.

See comment in discussion thread. Add 1.54 and 1.55 to compatible versions section of that file. thats it and it will show as compatible. I think it will create errors in the log but it will work

I tried updating the mod myself, but following the steps suggested by my friend "Humpfester" didn't work for me. When I make the modification, it simply doesn't appear in the mods section.

I hope the creator updates it soon.

I updated the mod folder myself and it worked, just like Legendkiller456 mentioned, I found the solution on page 7 from Wicked Mouse on how to update.
this is what he posted if you don't want to go all the way back and find it.
just obviously change the 1.54 to 1.55

You don't need to roll back. You can just "fix it" yourself and make it work with 1.54:
- Go to the mods folder ..\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\270880\1787294046
- Copy the 153_content folder and rename it to 154_content
- Open the versions.sii in a text editor like Notepad
- Change the package info about 153 into 154 like so:
package_version_info : .154.content
{
package_name: "154_content"
compatible_versions[]: "1.53.*"
compatible_versions[]: "1.54.*"
}
- Save it and reopen the game. The mod should be seen as compatible again.

Unless there are things in the 1.53 version that get messed up with the new patch, it should all work fine. It has done so for me so far

You guys can just update it yourself by editing some text. Search a few pages back - someone explains how to do this and it worked for me with 1.54. Unless the update broke something with rain or anything, it should still work.

can we have a update to support the new version which is 1.55 that Recently came out Just to make sure that it works. But other than that, I loved the mod the version I was using previously was 1.54 that would be appreciated. :)

@ Legendkiller456 thank you but I've never played convoy.. Yeah if I could afford and Xbox controller let alone set one up. At my age I'm lucky I can still play. Thanks again for your kind input mate. :>)

Well I've gotten them over the years, not at the same time haha. If you are able to get your hands on an Xbox controller, that'd be plenty.

Yes, I use a wheel and TrackIR, but I used to just use an Xbox controller, which worked perfectly fine. In fact, the only reason I bought a wheel was for Assetto Corsa because I kept spinning out on turns haha. However, with a wheel I cannot use active lane assist where it keeps you in the center of the lane, but lane departure assist still works.

@Legendkiller456 I put it at 70% and was taking a load triple tandem from New Orleans to New York. Needless to say it was raining lighting all the way but it sure was different coming out of my stereo with small Bose studio speakers. Had to turn the sound down roflmao. I shall be droping it down to about 30 and see how that works. Great mod terrific visual effect's nearly blinded me..Thanks for all the input on this mod..

20 to 30% is the golden zone. Any more than that and you have a rain season.

That's probably why then. Try turning it up to 100% so you can see the difference, but it will take a little before rain starts unless you save and then reload the game.

What % is your rain at in gameplay? This shouldn't alter your weather chances.

Need help in making this work. I've put it at the top fop but is not working fro me. I have had not one storm in my travels with this mod. Yet without I'm getting storms from SCS I guess since I don't own any rain mods. Could you be kind enough to tell what am I doing wrong. thanks mate

have had your mod for a few years; thanks for the update, but I had to switch to another mod cuz I wanted to have good rain so I will likely switch back but I want to give this other mod a try
