Even stranger is youre able to use the Improved Skill Trees mod on records? this shouldnt work, and if anything- you could be getting romance skills on the battlefield..or its erasing ur records bodyguard nodes.

Thanks for the support. I usually do overhauls, but I decided to be friendlier to the players and let them pick and choose what they want, that way i do not force them to use all my changes. This means they can overlap with other overhauls like MTU etc.
No I don’t believe my base mod will work with Wu. It does work for MTU I made an add on.
The Wu one I gave woodhawk the permission to make looks wildly unbalanced from what I can tell . I don’t believe he kept my design and added some crazy OP skills to it. It also has an extra row . If you feel the same way I’d recommend checking out my official version with MTU. I update it all the time and do what I can to keep things balanced .

Sadly there’s no way I know of to catch crash reports . There is a file that sometimes gets outputted to your appdata location but it’s full of nonsense only Ca can use .
I honestly don’t understand how you’re using MTU at all as it’s not updated yet? Also concerning is how you are saying you’re using MTU and WU together which makes no sense to me because they are both startpos mods .. so only one at a time should work?? What does running them both Do for you ??
i just beat my sun ce campaign with only mtu/wu installed so i assume its not them or your prestige/reform mods
do you know how ican get crash reports btw?
since im stuck at home ima try 4 different attempts one with wu/your mods another with only your mods and then only wuxing mod and lately the skill tree mod
hopefully i can pin point what exactly is happening
As far as MTU/WU
MTU: their startpos isnt updated yet to support the new DLC? so how are you using it? this seems like it should crash or have problems on its own.
WU: assume they would be running into similiar issues with their startpos, as mtu author told me they are having troubles with new assembly kit. I also dont support the wu mod with my skill tree mod. Woodhawk made a branch of my skill tree mod and did his own thing with Wuking. I cant support anything with their mod as they add new skill tiers as well.
hmmm thats interesting. thanks for the info. Ive never heard or experience the crash from duel kill before.
However what youre describing kind of sounds like an issue i had last DLC, where when i made the MTU compt skill tree mod, for literally no reason SunQuans skill tree would be bugged and cause the game to crash around turn 30 when he was 3 years old... removing the links on SunQuans bottom row somehow fixed this issue and i havent gone back to repair it.
So i wonder if something similar is happening with a new character who is born around that time?
using the skillpoint mod and the wuxing mod and advisors i have harder to prestige and turn year on and have zero issues right now
im going to assume its wuxing or skill mod because sometimes i crash if i kill an enemy with an ability mid duel ( pre patch)
the game crashes soon as turn ends even if i revert earlier save it just crashes around same time
Do you have interest to make a Chinese version for all your mods (since there are numbers of Chinese players in TW3K)?
I believe that my language is good enough to do this job well so that your mods will be more popular (most of TW3K players are Chinese)

I understand mods like skill trees is quite a large work, maybe we can start with others.

Also no. At one point I planned for it, but the skill trees are such a mess to work with, that id rather not set something up for records
I used to do overhaul mods,
Problem with them are:
1) people might only want a few changes from your mods, not all
2) when CA releases changes, and something breaks, its infinitely harder to track this error down in a giant overhaul mod, verses separate ones.
So sadly, i will not be doing an overhaul
Mod manager doesnt know what its talking about,
its only a warning based on last time a mod was uploaded.
Best thing to do is simply launch the game and try it.
Youll know if it crashes or not, and should be able to see most effects immediately.
I havent updated anything since the 1.3 but 99% of it should work, havent heard of any issues from anyone

Try to wrap up any save games before then, as new content like that generally tends to break mods, and broken mods have to get patched, this could take time, and those edits can break saves, So a reminder to be aware.
Im optimistic on a smooth update to happen for all my mods, but you never know

I have added a warning to the two packs that they need to be used as movie type if used in conjunction.
Not much else I can do right now but will think ab it
8TPY (as requirement) with 8TPY Vanilla Events and Satisfaction is causing the crash.
Used rPFM, on Satisfaction, went from Mod to Movie, run the 3 mods and - the game itself runs fine!
Trying with all 21 havie mods now, with the load order described in the previous post and the game gets past startup.Whether it faces any crashes in game is another matter, but with this the steam user can actually play the modpack and try it out in full.
If Steam forces you to make uploaded .packs as only "mod type," it seems like you might have to consolidate the changes from conflicting mods as a result? Somet might think it a bit odd to throw together 8TPY Events + new Satisfaction mechanics but I don't see -much- of a problem with it besides there being less modularity with the mod list than before.
Perhaps a mod manager menu will come out later down the line?
hmm i have a theroy about this,
both satisfaction and 8TPY vanilla events overwrite the same "data__"
file for cdir_event_option_set_items_tables
This might not be an issue for "movie" type packs which I run on my PC, however the workshop insists we upload them as "mod" type packs and the load order gets all conflicted.
I would suggest toggling the two- and downloading a tool called PFM or rPFM off Twcenter.net and locating one of the packs under steam/steamapps/workshop/### , opening it, saving it as packtype move and resaving it to your 3k/data folder.

Running 18, the satisfaction mod, gave me a crash. Continuing on...
18 General Uniforms / Cav Stat UI

20. Zhao Yun Helmet
Crash was only on the Havie Satisfaction mod. Running it on its lonesome doesn't seem to produce a crash. I've not yet tested if moving the Satisfaction Mod's spot in load order or if certain specific combinations of mods are what produce the startup crash.
Try to narrow down what the issue is?
