maybe you should make something in Parramatta there is barely anything from there in city skylines, so maybe build something like the new Parramatta library or Paramatta square buildings or the now light rail vehicles this is just a suggestion at most.

None DLC?
Penna 13 Jan, 2020 @ 11:30pm
what are your rates
Penna 13 Jan, 2020 @ 11:30pm
plus the fact you can google images of queensland rail EMU trains
Robert  [author] 13 Jan, 2020 @ 10:57pm
All I'd really need is a diagram like the ones on the transport NSW site (e.g. https://transportnsw.info/travel-info/ways-to-get-around/train/fleet-facilities/v-set-trains) . It's very useful for scale. But yeah, I've made some trains on commission.
Penna 13 Jan, 2020 @ 8:01pm
i am so sorry if i am bugging you, but if i find a good diagram (which i will have to know what it consists of) and pay commission, would you be happy to do it?
Robert  [author] 12 Jan, 2020 @ 10:46pm
Nope, sorry. Your best bet is paying someone to do it. I'd offer to make some on commission but I couldn't find good diagrams of Queenslandrail trains after a quick search.
Penna 12 Jan, 2020 @ 6:12pm
tried it, too hard, do you know anyone who makes the queenslandrail trains
Penna 12 Jan, 2020 @ 2:30pm
please be aware i may have a few questions for you
Penna 12 Jan, 2020 @ 1:46pm
Ok, Thanks
Robert  [author] 12 Jan, 2020 @ 4:11am
If you find it too difficult, there was another creator on the workshop doing brisbane stuff.. not sure if they are still going at it, but you could bug them to make new stuff :)
Robert  [author] 12 Jan, 2020 @ 4:10am
it's easy to get started, at least, but I'm still learning new things.
Blender is the software I use, it's free. (I use 2.79b, 2.8 changed something about rendering and I'm too lazy to figure it out). Textures are a little tougher, I already have an adobe account for my work, and use photoshop. You can probably irate-pay an older version like CS2.. I don't know actually. cslmodding.info has a lot of guides specifically concerning skylines modeling.
Penna 12 Jan, 2020 @ 2:18am
and is it easy
Penna 12 Jan, 2020 @ 1:48am
Oh okay, how do you start modeling
Robert  [author] 10 Jan, 2020 @ 5:49am
Thank you! But no, sorry. Only Sydney. That's the deal. :P
If you live in Brisbane, you should give modelling a go! I find it relaxing.
Penna 10 Jan, 2020 @ 2:46am
hey robert your a great creator, just wondering if you can make brisbane items, thanks!
Robert  [author] 24 Nov, 2019 @ 2:52am
A river wharf for.. cruise ships? The mass transit DLC contains the passenger ferry mechanics.
Партия регионов 24 Nov, 2019 @ 2:29am
Do you reckon you can make a version without the DLC? Thanks.
Robert  [author] 24 Oct, 2019 @ 1:09pm
Just relight, eyecandy, the usual stuff
Kareszrk 24 Oct, 2019 @ 7:37am
What graphics mod are you using? :O
Robert  [author] 9 Oct, 2019 @ 4:16am
Happy to do it, surprised how popular this one turned out to be 😄
bunker13 9 Oct, 2019 @ 3:49am
I needed it, but it was made by Robert! Robert ... Thank you !!
asianmike 6 Oct, 2019 @ 9:34pm

Robert  [author] 16 Jul, 2019 @ 9:49pm
Thanks! Love your work!
MrMaison 16 Jul, 2019 @ 9:39pm
This is gonna get some usage in Miriam Bay! Thanks!
Robert  [author] 12 Jul, 2019 @ 6:38pm
no idea how I'd extract the mesh and not confident I would be satisfied with it. Either way, QVB is already in my list of things to make, pencilled in for... May 2020 :P
Constant B 12 Jul, 2019 @ 6:34pm
Thank you Robert, well done sir.
jasonr71 12 Jul, 2019 @ 11:46am
Your collection of Sydney assets are fantastic.
jasonr71 12 Jul, 2019 @ 11:45am
Any chance of converting the Queen Victoria Building model from Cities XL?
flyagainstthewind 12 Jul, 2019 @ 1:48am
Amazing~~
RedSamurai 11 Jul, 2019 @ 11:07am
WOW!!!
clus 11 Jul, 2019 @ 9:18am
Great asset ! I myself started a ferry-stop, but decided to kill the project in an early stage because of the "issues" you mentioned ! It´s great to have such a lovely asset without putting myself under a great deal of stress to get it the way I wanted it ... :P Thumbs up !
Robert  [author] 11 Jul, 2019 @ 6:17am
It's definitely a very sloshy fluid simulation, hard to wrangle 😔
Dying 11 Jul, 2019 @ 1:11am
My biggest problem (for all piers) is the behavior of water. If you have two rivers floating into one, the water level increases and decreases shortly. Don't know how to get control of it.
Robert  [author] 10 Jul, 2019 @ 9:15pm
I got some good results with that but it's much more suited to a beach/boardwalk setting.. too large and too much wood. Thanks!
2Scribble 10 Jul, 2019 @ 9:13pm
Again - it's certainly an improvement on the original version lol
Robert  [author] 10 Jul, 2019 @ 9:11pm
It takes some TLC, but I'm happier with it than not.
I really wish I could have gotten it to work better with the road ending at the entry rather than a long one running perpendicular, though - most of these wharves sit at the end of parking lots, or just in parks IRL
2Scribble 10 Jul, 2019 @ 9:09pm
Given how buggy the whole Ferry system is (especially in terms of placement) I will ALWAYS wonder why the CS team even decided to release it...

Also that shot of the game flooding you out - JEZUZ, Hal you don't need to be such a bitch :P
Robert  [author] 10 Jul, 2019 @ 9:06pm
https://twitter.com/bobsymay/status/1149159690309234688 here's an example of what can happen if the terrain isn't friendly - levitating pontoon!
Robert  [author] 10 Jul, 2019 @ 9:05pm
Still a bit of a gap, but not downwards if you tweak it enough with Move It :)
2Scribble 10 Jul, 2019 @ 9:03pm
Anything has to be better than the massive gap our cims have to jump down to get on the ferry :P
Hafiz 10 Jul, 2019 @ 8:58pm
Well done
