[WOTC] Rulers Regen

So, I added this mod AFTER a ruler retreated because of a mod interaction that caused it to take way more damage than intended. Is the trigger for them regaining HP exclusive for when they leave, or will a new spawn see them regen?

Fair share covers all Rulers, vanilla and modded. Unless the implementation of the modded ruler doesn't respect standards.
If fair share is disabled you will need to configure it for each rulers.

FAIR_SHARE=true
REGEN_HEALTH=1

Thanks for the quick reply, if "fair_share" is enabled though, will that cover the hive queen? or do I need to set it to false and manually enable the regen? I'm just aiming to have all rulers regen with 100% Hp haha, thanks again!

Yes @Bantichai. If you need to configure health regen for other rulers you will need to add them in the config file the same way.. Let me know if the instructions in the file are not clear.

I did have a look last night. As I said to @DukeBadham both mods change OnStatAssignmentCompleteFn for Rulers templates. RulersRegen uses it to restore Rulers HP and armor and DeltaStrike uses it to assign the extra stats.

Workaround:
- Modify XComGameData_SoldierSkills.ini for Rulers to get the same stats Delta Strike would apply.
- Use Redefine Units to apply the same stats Delta Strike did.

Hello, i recently added this mod and saw that it was conflicting ingame with another Mod (Second Wave: Delta Strike [Standalone]).

When both Mods are active, RegenRuler prevents Rulers from getting the DeltaStrike HP/ablativArmor/Armor modifiers increases.

Would it be possible to have a look at that?

There was an issue where Rulers didn't escape when they were supposed to. This should fix it.

Changelog:
- Fixed escape threshold.
- Added support for modded Rulers.
- Can configure regen factors for each Rulers.
- Changed Health regen from 50 to 33%.

1. Started to play X2 not long before WOTC so I might not be aware of those mods.
Saw robojumper one Moddable Ruler Turns. I will take a look but from reading the comments it seems to work with WOTC.

2. Launching the game without ticking Integrated DLC or Alien Hunter make it so Rulers show up randomly on mission. No need to activate them.

3. I like this idea. Not sure if I would want them "reacting" to XCOM actions or from their situation in the battlefield. Like you mentioned being cornered after cover is blown by explosives would be be one of these situations.
It would have to be pretty rare occasions and not be tied to being hit since Low Profile or Planewalker are already triggered by this event.

There is some conception to do but that's definitely something those poor Chosen need 😜

There's a few things I've been thinking about, with Rulers and Chosen.

1) There was a few old mods that let you adjust which actions triggered a free AP for a Ruler, but they're borked for WotC.

2) What if Rulers got to show up on missions before you'd 'activated' them by assaulting their facility?

3) What if Chosen gained free AP on certain XCOM actions similarly to a Ruler?

There's some stuff you'd certainly have to consider balance wise - you'd need to restrict what actions give free AP and how often or they'd be too strong, and you'd probably need to make sure Rulers showing up on missions is on the same schedule as the Chosen, otherwise every second mission would have a Chosen or Ruler always crammed in - but at the moment Rulers are super scary but you rarely have to fight them, and Chosen *should* be scary but fall off because eventually you just smash them with explosives mid to late game and they don't get to fight back like a Ruler does.

It is based on their max HP. In the pictures Viper King escapes at 23 HP with a max of 69. He's at 57 on second encounter. He gained 34 (69*2).
I use function to get their max HP value so even if you have changed the value this function will get the correct amount.

Hi @boundir. Could you explain how the regen percentage works exactly? I mean, is it a straight up regen of 50% of their original starting health or is it 50% of their lost health? And if it is the former will there be any issues if the Vanilla health of Rulers is edited?

Haha personally I wish the Thumbnail was a thing, but not only is their no healing viper nurse/medic... there is no sexy or cute viper of any kind, god damn it did LoversLabs fail to do anything for them even though that's a request for one of their top mod posts that everyone circles around! DX And ya, I love not holding anything back when it comes to Xcom 2, Even the workshop here often lets loose with the sexy. :D
