vanilla has always meant modless

As I've always understood it, stock refers to whether or not it has mods, vanilla is the term used when describing a game without DLC.

Base Game Parts is a better term

DLC = stock, read up on the definition with every youtuber and on the wiki site

Technically not stock, since stock would mean part of the base game, while you need to buy the dlc to use this.

@Marlborough the spherical crew compartments are from the making history expansion. They are meant to be the main body of the "Vostok" spacecraft built by the Soviets
Marlborough 27 Jul, 2019 @ 12:40pm
Which stock part is the spherical compartment? I've had this game for years and have never seen it.

you're right but there is no way to make accurate Progress spacecraft without mods because there isn't a stock spherical cargo bay.
SPQR 27 Jul, 2019 @ 12:21pm
Just for accuracy, "Progress" is a spacecraft that sends cargo to ISS and does not carry any crew on it (and it just burns up in reentry). What you have here is just a Soyuz. Great model though :)

Soyuz can't go to water !

updated with some improvements: better RCS, better upper stage, better aerodynamics and added braking engines to provide a safe soft landing speed.

im using the new mid size fuel tanks on the second stage (we have identical projects.) is that 1.25m on the second stage?

i have a bone to pick with the devs about the "reentry modules" but you seem to have solved the problem.

i got a working LES system working with the new robotic parts
Mandavito  [author] 23 Jul, 2019 @ 2:03pm
thanks! the stock parts size are not exactly identically of their real life counterparts. In real life, the progress spacecraft is smaller than the second stage but, in kerbal has the same size and, by aesthetics, I have added the adapter that lengthens the second phase.

i love your soyuz landing module.

im copying it, great use of clipping.

your second stage is a bit too long
