shooting going on around them, normally they would run and lie down, so
a script would be needed to make them be more immersive,
theres really not much more i can add to the mission without killing the performance.
Though i will think about and will test it out to have Ai you can recruit as that was
asked before, it needs some testing to determine what they'll do and how they'll respond.
1. If you die and respawn you may not have command of them anymore.
2. Theres no guarantee they will follow you and or find their way around and into buildings.
3. If AI team mates die which they will, you'll need to recruit them again.
Adding civilians only takes away from the performance as that is the real concern.
If i were to add civilians and idk how many, you may not see them that much or at all,
once you spawn in 120 enemy soldiers to garrison and then spawn in patrols your
performance would tank.

Ya i love this mission too, i want to do more to it but cant determine what
else i can add or do without it effecting the performance.
Glad you like it, remember to run it through mp lan and configure the parameters before you play,
and dont forget you can load up any mod with factions and play against them.

When you play how many do you garrison, and how many patrols do you use, time of day, weapons, what mods if any.
As for your mission, i appreciate the offer but im a bit busy with working with my own projects.
i would suggest put the mission on the workshop and get some feedback for it, or even share it on BI forums and have folks give you some feedback that way.
In the meantime the project im looking to do will make this mission amazing, we'll see.
Im starting a project for this mission.
Now this new project if i decide to do it as im doing some research atm, and its
a secret for now, it will add performance to the mission i basically have to rebuild the mission but theres a way to do it, it will be a port of the mission, when and if i release it, it should allow you and anyone else to have the best performance possible, and allow me to build the mission further.
It will be complex to build as i have to learn how to do some new things, i will be starting it this weekend if i decide to do it, once its built and i release it, i will link it here. I cant make promises but from what i was told it will work and the performance should be real good because of it.
So this project the main goal is performance #1 and
#2 to be able to update the mission further.

What settings did you use, how many AI did you garrison, how many patrols did you spawn, what mods if any were you running, what is your view distance set at, also did you play through mp lan?
Theres a number of things that effect fps, tell me your computer specs and i can give an idea as to why the mission may not perform well for you.

Although i never tried, but porting from one map to another if thats the idea will break the balance, the connected planks and such it becomes and unplayable mess, best just turn off manual spawns and garrison, and to make it more immersive turn off the overhead hud in the mp parameters too so you dont see that since there are no enemies to kill.

Other then that just unpbo the mission and look at it, its heavily coded. Would that work for you?
I was wondering if you would consider releasing this ARENA (and also your IFA3 one) just as a composition.
I think it would be great for 1vs 1 snipers to practice against ieach other.

Whatever you like to do in it, there are objectives but they are optional, if you do plan on completing them then you will end the mission complete.
Right now any updates are on hold as the last update was but a couple weeks ago in which since i been working on a new mission and once released will come back to this. Any more thoughts, or feedback let me know. Cheers!
