I have reuploaded new (1.29) versions of (most) my mods. These had to be reploaded because I couldn't update the old ones due to the crappy new UI.
I have put links to the updated versions under the old mods' description.
Sorry that this update took so long.
if i remember correctly it's just one type of client state, the usual type. this mod just makes it available earlier and allows for some CB changes.
try using the manual DL link from my mod collection (link is given above)
Just downloaded the mod and love it so far but I don’t really know what type of state does what.
Thanks!
great to hear that! have fun with it.
well i guess it wont work with the add-ons.. not much i can do
this version should work with beyond typus.
im not sure. it could be because this is from 1.28 (although it should work with 1.29). i suggest you try deleting the mod from the mod folder and reinstalling it via steam. if you still get the error, then get the updated (1.29) mod from the external link (see the collection of my mods) and just paste it in the eu4 mod folder. that should solve the issue.
unfortunately i cant figure out a way to update my mods using the 1.29 mod UI... so all my mods are stuck on 1.28...
as far as i know the 1.28 or older mods cannot be updated in a straightforward way anymore (because of the new mod UI)... but on the plus side this mod should still work with 1.29.
do you have any issues using it with this version?
no, it doesn't allow anyone to use any CB on anyone. let me explain.
it essentially treats your subjects lands/borders as your own. for example in the base game, if you border nation X and have a religious CB then you can attack them (normal case), but if you have a subject between you and nation X then you are not allowed to use your religious CB. this mod allows you to use your religious (or any other neighbour-related) CB to attack nation X because he is bordering your subject. essentially you can grow being surrounded by subjects on all sides and still use your neighbour-related CBs to expand.
what you're describing sounds great but a bit complicated to mod. i'm not the most experienced modder so i'm gonna pass. also i generally don't want to complicate this mod too much.
i have considered it. but i think it is simply too powerful. at least with them taking diplo slot the player needs to do some planning in how & where to place them and probably if they're too big how to manage them. without diplo slots it's just gonna be a mess of unlimited low liberty desire client states (in theory easily exploitable).
that being said, i may add it at some point. so far a couple of you have suggested it, so if more people want it then i'll make it happenm lets see.
well your total development is important, not really the fact that you have one or multiple regions.
you have to make sure your total development is large enough to compete with each of the client states one-to-one.
i mean if a bunch of people want an extremely OP mod, sure why not. but if it's just you.. im a bit lazy to do it xD sorry dude
yes it is possible and i have thought about doing that as well as maybe improving the client state ideas a bit. but i want to be careful so i don't potentially make the mod extremely OP.
so i might do it but don't want to give any promises.
unfortunately this issue happens all the time with all sorts of eu4 mods. try deleting your mods manually from the eu4 mod folder, then let steam redownload them. then use the eu4 overlay to make sure they're all correctly installed.
if it still does not work, use the manual download link i have given in my Expanded mod collection. then unpack and place it in the eu4 mod folder manually. this must work.
Try unsubscribing mods from eu4 workshop, weird thing but worked for me, i've just had too many mods.
