Also most importantly why is her iconic dash not used as an attack?

Have her Uair and Hair once again be her backpack, the Uair looking like Ike's in smash 4 works with the dashing properties concept I mentioned of the aerials because of the helicopter look, and the nair could be a simple spin of the bag.
I just think Madeline should play like she does in her game, speedy and all that, zooming from one part to the stage to the other, I don't think projectiles or self healing represent her gameplay.
Madeline isnt a warrior or anything, but I was thinking that her moves should reflect how speedy she is. Not only that, but her backpack is the only other character trait that could actually cause damage... so why not use that?
For example, Ftilt and Utilt could be her bashing people with the bag horizontally and vertically respectivelly, and her jab being a side to side swipe of it
Her aerials could have dashing properties, as in each attack moves her towards that direction slightly, like how her current down air is.
Madeline is more weighty in her game, why not tone down the running speed and increasing aerial speed and weight.
I would also recommend reworking the specials

you could start a dash by pressing neutral special and then have 3 frames to choose any direction, if those dashes do damage and knockback, they could be great combo tools
Keep SideSpc the same but make it cancellable by Nspecial
Have the feather change her hair to purple that gives her an extra dash on the air, just like in the game, for balancing reasons that charge is a 1 time use thing and the player will need to recharge it every time it is used
All of her specials should give her another dash, using Nspecial should leave her in free fall with a small window to start another special, unless she has that extra feather charge which remains with you until you use it or you die.
