Good day. I find this mod mostly enjoyable and authentic except for one thing
Namely that some Norman helmets seem to be anachronistic with it's full-face protection seems to be more at place with the Crusades rather than the Norman Conquest.
The helmet in question:

Hopefully if you update this you will remove this anachronism if you're willing to look at it.
Have a good day

Mod looks ok, Except all of the forces look the same... Watching the buggy battles is even more confusing.
Burnt Out 22 Nov, 2021 @ 3:19pm

Love this mod. The only minor note of criticism I have would be the removal of a lot of helmet variation. Having every helmet be a nasal helmet gets kinda boring to look at after a while. Maybe you could leave those older helmet styles in for an occassional appearance (maybe only for officers and generals, to represent heirloom pieces). Historically it can be easily justified as well, since information on what helmets people actually wore during this time period is incredibly scarce. Especially for cultures like the Norse, Gaels and Britons. There are few written and pictorial sources, and helmets are only incredibly rarely found as archaeological artefacts (probably since they were passed from generation to generation, therefore never being thrown away and entering the archaeological record).

I hope you can increase the helmet variation a bit. Apart from that this mod is near-perfect. Great work!

I recognize this game yesterday, and tomorrow is 1 year anniversary that you made this mod update last year. Very exciting. : D

I hope Welsh factions(Gwynedd, Strat Clut) longbow problem and many faction soldiers hair pierce helmets being fix soon.

Always good luck with you developer. : )
SpeedingFlame 7 Feb, 2021 @ 1:23am
I love this mod, it has variety faces and uniforms, variety heights and weights. But I found two problems about in this game, one is Gwynedd and Strat Clut's Longbowman's bow looks weird, other thing is some units hairs are pierce their own helmets.

If you fix this problems, this mod will be perfect mod at Vanilla! : )
Rai300[ESP] 28 Jan, 2021 @ 3:55am
could be possible to fix the bug of the longbow archers from welsh when they are holding their bows?
MorglumNecksnapper 23 Jul, 2020 @ 12:21am
Amazing mod, thanks so much!
oa 17 Jul, 2020 @ 8:07pm
Hi, there is a graphic bug with longbows. Besides that, beautifull and fantastic mod. Thank you very much
Bonsai 9 Jul, 2020 @ 9:41am
@RobbStark Your Tier 3 Unit designs are fantastic. Would you mind if I use them in my Conquest 1066 mod? (Ironically I also help on Shieldwall and the Attila Conquest 1066 mod.)
oHuSqYo 28 May, 2020 @ 8:18am
Just looking to find out if the mod is Radious compatible? Is it worth getting?
Yavuz918 22 May, 2020 @ 10:58am
It kinda sucks that there isnt much variation betwen the units, like the most elite unit looks not much diffrent then one tier lower unit next to it. No real destinction betwen them in looks of armor or shields.
Arthalion 9 May, 2020 @ 4:32pm
hello, very nice work, can we hope a version with pants and shoes for all land troops? I know its perhaps historical, but Its very strange to see heavy armored unit with nothing at the bottom :D
Zap Rowsdower 8 May, 2020 @ 8:55am
Any chance of a radious version at any point?
[NTB]Unclutch 8 May, 2020 @ 3:05am
outstanding work my friend. i will credit your mod in my thrones video
kiun7027 2 May, 2020 @ 11:28pm
Is this mod outdated? What different about v3?
Falloutboy 19 Apr, 2020 @ 9:28am
WoW thank you so much! Thats exactly the mod o was looking for! This is how the game should have looked from the start! Realy amzing work, thank you!!!
Anax 11 Apr, 2020 @ 1:33pm
you need also the previous reborn to run with this?
Killinspecialist 5 Mar, 2020 @ 6:50pm
true but snow is snow
Sola Fide 5 Mar, 2020 @ 4:43pm
@Killinspecialist I am Swedish and I can wear shorts during winter, the cold does not really affect me as much as foreigners are affected by it. It is probably both genetic and cultural.
Killinspecialist 9 Feb, 2020 @ 5:08pm
Does it not get cold though, i know thats why the romans started wearing pants
RobbStark  [author] 9 Feb, 2020 @ 5:16am
There's a bit of a misconception about bare legs being related to money and questions about why they can't afford trousers etc - it's not a financial thing, but clearly cultural. The Gallowglasses of the late Medieval period had access to expensive mail armour and good quality helmets, but still seemingly fought bare legged and sometimes without shoes. I mean, look at the modern Scottish and Irish practice of wearing kilts - as an Englishman, it baffles me. Culture though.
RobbStark  [author] 9 Feb, 2020 @ 5:07am
I'm not sure what protection you think woollen trousers would offer? Feel free to hunt around for sources yourself but from memory the practice of Medieval Gaelic peoples fighting bare legged was widely alluded to in the sources - the English nickname for Scottish warriors during the 1500s (and probably far earlier) was "Redshanks" due to the red colour of their bare legs in cold weather for example and contemporary illustrations show the Gallowglasses of Ireland with bare legs and feet. The famed Welsh longbowmen of the earlier Medieval period were also described as fighting with bare feet to increase their grip on the terrain and provide better stability.
Check out any illustrations of Welsh, Pictish, Gael or Norse-Gael warriors of the Dark Ages and you'll see bare legs and feet.
Da Vinci 9 Feb, 2020 @ 3:06am
@RobbStark Do you have any real historical sources? It looks extremely dangerous to fight like that.
Da Vinci 8 Feb, 2020 @ 1:17pm
Put on some damn pants on the norse units. It looks retarded when they stand there without pants. Do some people really think vikings fought with no pants on them or what?
EnriMora 6 Feb, 2020 @ 7:19pm

beef92 6 Feb, 2020 @ 9:06am
Love the work you've put in so far, good sir! This is one of my favorite points of history so it's really cool to see all the different units and the variations in which they were dressed and armed. Adds a lot of realism.
Dreamwell 6 Feb, 2020 @ 7:03am
I see! If only you guys cooperated fully. Thrones with the mod does feel a lot different than at launch, I find. And with your cosmetics it would easily top modded Attila for me and even in some cases, Rome 2 DEI.
RobbStark  [author] 6 Feb, 2020 @ 7:01am
And a Shieldwall version is in the pipeline, the only problem is the way that Shieldwall swaps and renames the various unit varients as well as modifying the tier system, so it's a slow process going through everything to find out the right units per faction PLUS where I keep modifying this pack as the base, it means I have to redo all the Shieldwall units I've modified.

It's a long old process.
RobbStark  [author] 6 Feb, 2020 @ 6:59am
Fairly meaty update;
Lamellar armour for all factions now - given the availability of the technology and the relative low cost compared with mail, seemed appropriate to include it.
Swapped out the decal dirtmaps for helmets so the vanilla stuff are no longer covered in obnoxious dents
Made adjustments to the shield variety and type for all factions
Made adjustments to the helmet variety for several factions (late tier infantry look a bit heavier).
Dreamwell 6 Feb, 2020 @ 3:48am
Will shieldwall version be separate, or you're making this mod compatible somehow? I just don't want to miss it. :D
Moriarty 5 Feb, 2020 @ 9:35am
yep, this is a good idea , that one below :steamhappy:
Arthalion 3 Feb, 2020 @ 11:14am
Amazing mod, i hope you will add it to Total War Age of Charlemagne :D
Dreamwell 3 Feb, 2020 @ 2:13am
Can't wait for you making it for shieldwall mod. :D
bearfieldlee 26 Jan, 2020 @ 1:33am
Wonderfully done as usual.
NEO110 22 Jan, 2020 @ 4:12am
Awesome mod
RobbStark  [author] 20 Jan, 2020 @ 10:09am
Sure is - all it does is modify models and textures.
Larsie 20 Jan, 2020 @ 2:45am
is this mod saved games compatibel ?
BleakFaith 12 Jan, 2020 @ 7:50pm
Thanks a lot & have a good day! :)
RobbStark  [author] 12 Jan, 2020 @ 8:51am
风之宏颜 - your English is fine. So Variation Pack Reborn is comprised of vanilla models and textures only, whereas this pack features models and textures from a wide range of other mods.
jaalcoburg - much appreciated, thank you! And I've no idea what the future holds. I'm currently working on a version for the Shieldwall mod, but it's taking time what with my real life and work etc.
BleakFaith 12 Jan, 2020 @ 7:34am
Love Thrones of Britannia & This Mod.
Could you tell me what's the difference between this mod and Variation Pack Reborn?
Greetings from a Chinese Total War gamer, though I'm not good at English. :)
Arthalion 9 Jan, 2020 @ 1:32am
very nice mod, thx !
