HaxraurYT since le creator hasn't responded in a while I'll tell you:

1. To my knowledge, no.
2. Old Steve is just this one with two moves abnormally long. I think there'd need to be more changes to current Steve? to warrant having version 1.0.0. But that's just me, not PK.

This is an Amazingly animated character with a mostly good moveset. But I have 2 questions about Steve.

1.Is there any way to get more blocks or is dying the only way to get more blocks.
2. Could you possibly make a separate mod that is the older version of Steve. that you mentioned before because I think that it would be cool since I never got to see it.

the ? in his name should stay... steve's name was like that for a long time because he never actually had a name. its more of a nickname and in several merchandise he's seen with a '?'

Look, i really love the character but its not serious. I would appreciate if you changed the taunt, remove the ? out of the name, and change his dodge and shield. Please consider this man.

Lastly, some moves can combo into everything; a first hit-cancel of n-air, landing with up-air, and d-tilt all can combo into a lot; n-air and d-tilt true combo into dash attack, setting up for some crazy stuff, and landing with up-air true combos into up-tilt, which combos into itself and up-strong. This is a lot, and a free 60% is pretty dumb. Some are easy to do, almost effortless even. Basically, this character should either deal a bit less damage or combo a bit less, and either could work so idc about that..

Anyway, love the character @PK, and please take any, all, or none of these suggestions at your leisure. If you're done with the character, with permission I'll tweak with my nerf and buff ideas and release a version that's more balanced. If you really don't care about balancing it because someone else said so, understandable. Your creation, my 3 comments. Bye Steve? mains, and thanks for reading!

Secondly, d-tilt needs nerfed; the range is ridiculous versus the animation. It covers an entire platform and hits from behind him, which should not be the case. It probably should have it so it covers half a platform, while also removing the hitbox in the back, thusly make it fit closer in line to the animation. And yes, up-strong is way too tall; just make it barely reach right or left platform, and it should be enough.

Now, some damage buffs; his strong attacks do less than they should. Considering his aerials can average 5% and some can do about 7-8%, why do up-strong and side-strong do only 8% charged, 5% uncharged? That's low for a strong attack; it better fits if uncharged is 8% and charged is 11-12%, which down-strong already is. Balance it with a small knockback nerf for both so they kill at same percent pre and post nerf (or ~80% and ~130% for side and up strong respectively.)

Props to @PK adapting paperkitty's youtube video about Steve's moveset into Smash well. Would've liked to see the chest absorbing projectiles mechanic implemented into Rivals but idk what move to replace so nothing could be done there. Good job, but if this character needs some changing, I wanna give ideas. This should be considered more of compiling everyone's ideas, though, because every part at least 1 person has said.

Firstly, if there's a change everyone would like, side-special is way too awkward to use; so, I think it should be jump-cancelable. That way, it isn't a set distance and could help mix up recoveries offstage. not to mention it could finally be used as an attack and not as an offstage death sentence every time it's accidentally pressed. Somewhere in the range of 5 frames after starting animation to a frame before end animation should be a good window.

Secondly, the aforementioned speed and (Possibly bugged) hitboxes from the heavy attacks need to be changed, such offenders include Up heavy, Up heavy and Up heavy
All the character would possibly need is a fine tuning to the speed of these actions, as well as the hitboxes (Up Heavy being made smaller specifically), increasing end lag and possibly letting the opponent as to a way out of this combat by jab tournament

All in all though, amazing works from this gamer and creator, 11/10 my friend does not like me doing the funny

I would like to condemn this copypasta to a proposal for the balance changes that can be done to Steve(Question mark) as he does seem slightly overtuned but in all a very well made and fun character
Firstly and most importantly, his speed does seem a little too high and his recovery data for basic moves such as for example, jab, DTilt , dash and UTilt do seem extraordinarily high, leading to incredibly easy combos for a competent player.
