Tbh I feel like she controls way too awkardly with her air-speed, other than that she'd be a cool char, maybe make her a little bigger? Idk I feel like she's way too small, kinda like that Little Mac on the Workshop, getting the right size can definitely be a challenge, as Sakurai has proven with Ridley in Smash and other characters like Pikmin and Kirby, but other than that cool job, also might polish her SFX and animations more.

@Sato Thank you for saying that, it means a lot!

I do want to give Remi and Flan custom sprites at some point, but I'm pretty sure that would require a full on overhaul of the character, so that along with my current personal project means that likely won't be happening anytime soon, unless someone else does the sprites for me. If that does happen, I think I'll end up rereleasing the old-sprites version of Remilia and Flandre separately, like some other character mods do.

I won't say too much about her echo right now, but I will say that while she borrows many moves from Remilia, I did my best to make the echo feel like you're playing a new character. I'm looking forward to finishing her up so she can see release soon. ^^

Glad to see Servant Flyer implemented! I like how you can set it up somewhere and then release it at any other time. Really helps to give Remilia more projectile variety and trickery. The icon at the top right corner's also pretty helpful in showing when you can use it or not. And speaking of projectiles, it's nice to see them be more in theme via the bat designs. How you can angle it adds to this trickery as well.

Also cool to see that NSpecial is now chargeable. Considering the way Remilia lunges back preparing to hurl it at you, it always struck me as the sort of move that visually makes sense to charge. Plus, the fixes to the grazing code and how she stays flat on the ground makes more visuals sense too.

Overall, I appreciate the updates you've given to Remilia. Considering how her echo is nearing completion, I'm especially interested in finding out how you'll differentiate the properties of their attacks and playstyle.

Minor update: Remilia now has a full working moveset! There's a few more things to tweak and something I want to see if I can implement before releasing Remilia v1.0, but you can expect a release before the middle of the week, if not today.

Thanks for the update! I'm still trying out the stage you released right now, and I'll make sure to leave my full thoughts on it in the comments, but so far it's pretty awesome. Definitely a welcome addition considering there's so few Touhou stages in the Rivals Steam Workshop right now.

I'm looking forward to seeing Remilia's blonde-haired vampire echo fighter!

New update. TLDR, Life and school have kept me busy from finishing up Remi and her echo fighter, progress has been made on the down specials but they aren't ready to roll out yet, and I have released Remilia's home stage. It is called "Scarlet Gensokyo." Hope you enjoy. ^^

@amuro Don't worry, once she is released as 1.0 I'll open a balancing suggestions discussion for the purpose of better balancing Remilia.

Right now I'm focusing on finishing her and her echo fighter's down specials. They're rather complex compared to the rest of the moveset which is why it's taking a while (that and I've had to deal with other things.) I should have her done pretty soon though.

I really like the feeling of this character, but she should be toned down a bit. I feel for how fast she is with all the projectiles her damage is WAY too high. up-tilt for example doing 9% and comboing into itself multiple times is ridiculous. Also Neutral special should do like 3% and have almost no knockback if its going to be that spammable. Otherwise I love this character I really look forward to more updates. Keep up the good work :)

Nice, thanks for the update. Glad to hear that not only Remilia's close to being moved to v1.0, but that her sister Kurumi's going to be coming as well! I've always been a fan of Smash Ultimate's echo fighters, so I'm curious how she's going to play as compared to Remilia.

Definitely looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Quick unofficial note: Remilia is very close to being "completed" by my standards (all moves complete and polished, animations looking nice, alt colors working), so you can expect her to be moved into v1.0 really soon. When that happens, I will open a Discussion for people to discuss how to better balance the character for competitive play.

On top of this, I will be releasing an echo fighter alongside Remilia's v1.0 release. I am pleased to say that said character is basically at the same point of completion as Remilia. Some of you can probably already guess who it will be ...

Nice, love the work you've done on Remilia here! I find it neat how her first initial jump can be increased in height (vertical speed) when combined with her Down Air projectile (holding down the down arrow key and then pressing Z and X at the same time, standard controls).

Speaking of speed, her Dash Attack has got an insane amount of horizontal speed to it. But the hitbox is small enough that it's still balanced enough that it's fun to play against. Plus, the fact that she gets a bit of horizontal momentum when using her Up Air is a cute touch lol :3

Utsuho Reiuji? Nice to see another fellow Okuu fan on here! She's personally my favorite Touhou character (evidence: my profile pic lol) so I'm looking forward to seeing how you design her for Rivals of Aether!

Hmmm... plus another very destructive vampire sister? Surely you must be taking about... Kurumi! Haha, right? I mean, I never knew she had a sister, so that's some cool PC-98 trivia already!

Thanks for the kind words! ^^ An update is coming pretty soon with her neutral B functional, as well as her taunt and some updated hurtboxes. Still working on her but I think I'll be able to stop calling her a WIP really soon!

Also have other characters planned. Already working on a mod for Utsuho Reiuji, and perhaps another, very destructive vampire sister ...

Wow, nice to see Rivals getting some more Touhou representation. Remilia's controls are amazing and so fun to play as. And coupled by how fast and fluid her movement is, she can pull off some really technical plays!

I especially love how you were able to incorporate her projectiles into her regular attacks. Reminds me a lot of how Villager's moveset is fun to play as in Smash Ultimate. Speaking of which, her Up Special also reminds me of Incineroar's recovery move, which really helps her stand out amongst the Touhou cast.

Overall, I absolutely love this mod so far (especially looking forward to the graze mechanic you mentioned in the description) and can't wait to see what future updates you add to her!

heck i was already trying to get her in the game but it looks like you beat me to it. Nice work btw she's really fun to play
