Holiday season slowed things down a bit, but now that's past I can work through my to-do list a bit faster...
In the meantime Avanti has signed a contract with Bombardier to refurbish all it's tired class 221 Voyagers, this will almost certainly include a repaint into the new Avanti livery.
Thanks - yes - it should be fairly similar - one day - you're welcome
:)
As standard, the 220's passenger capacity is NOT 688, it's 172.
You could make as many different consist types as you want by just editing one text-based file.
You'll find my mod installed in [steam install directory]\steamapps\workshop\content\446800\1906209585
Copy the 1906209585 folder and paste it in the mods folder in the game's install directory.
Then inside 1906209585\res\config\multiple_unit, copy either the xc or vt lua file, depending which livery you want, paste it in the same location and put, say _8car suffix on the end of the filename so it reads eg: class220_xc_mu_8car.lua ... Then open it in notepad.
The _c_ mdls are the coaches, and the corr mdl is the corridor connector, copy and paste some of those lines to form an 8 car consist, change the description from '4 car' to '8 car' in the name and save it.
Then when you load your map, activate the local class 220 mod instead of the workshop class 220 mod and you'll find the new consist in the depot. Easy as that :)
If you are planning to to do the 221 'Super Voyager' it will need to tilt and be capable negotiating curves at a higher speed, a challenge?
Mongolteiko the 221 and 222s are possible future additions to this mod, I always go back and add stuff to my mods... but they're not next in my plans...
Autocoach I'll try some tweaks to the loading speed and possibly update that later.
