Hi @AWG,
Is it possible I can tweak the mod a little so a friend and I can use it on our MP server? The server is just us, and I can definitely publish as either Unlisted or Friends Only, whichever works best for you. Thanks,

I don't know if I had realistic sound on without me realising, but it appears that this cannon has no sound. Could someone else check and see if this is the case?

That's a bummer, but I'm no longer updating most of these guns, as many have been moved to my WeaponCore pack. Use that for the newest stuff if you can :)

Hello there, just wanted to inform you that apparently the new update broke some of your weapons as they do not read/write config files anymore.
So far this applies to the this one, 203mm cannon, bushmaster but could include other ones as well.

It's meant for MART turrets, which are easy to set up especially when combined with my rotors and hinges in the Convenient Weapons Pack, since they allow for miniature scale builds.

I've got to ask how this weapon is supposed to be used? I could supposedly use a basic MART set-up but that'd be insanely clunky and nowhere near as refined as what is seen in screenshots, yet whenever I place it on a build I have absolutely no control over the weapon whatsoever. Is there something I'm missing?

And globally across all grids, if you enter a camera or vanilla turret mode, it shows chaingun reloading if any M230 is firing around you.

Is it just me or the damage on this is very low? Like if a small ship (of a small size say 10x8x4) gets hit by this it should be critically damaged and in need of repairs, however that is not the case. As of now it can't even through a single block and the ROF doesn't help for AAA purposes. So even if it hits the target it's just a scratch and against heavy armor it's worthless. The only good thing about it is the low cost but I'd rather put a lot of resources and have a good weapon than cheap out. Too bad because I really liked the model.

Gun is broken, fires infinitely without any ammunition or even conveyors. Can even fire if grid has no power

@AWG quick question. I like the visuals of this weapon, but I'd like to tweak the numbers to my liking in order to use in my SP game and possibly in an MP with a friend or two. For the latter, it would be easiest for me to submit the modifications as a separate mod so the dedicated server can get it from workshop. Would you have anything against it? obviously all credit goes to you in plain text.

Okay did what you said and this time i tested it on two small blocks (since i shot large blocks) and it took out 75% of its health while the Gatling gun still destroyed the block with one shot. And another thing i found out is that when i shot at the block on the same small grid it went right through (At random distances and not at point blank in front of the Chaingun) it and went through the large grid wall behind it and hit the med bay behind the wall. And i'm testing this on the Earth planet starting area BTW.

I should add as well that when firing the AutoCannon and getting in a cockpit on a completely different grid it still reloading

they also will not auto reload once empty from conveyor-ed inventory, you have to drag and drop for them to reload

Icon for m230 ammo is blank in blueprints in assembler menu.

Each hit does 80 damage. This should damage light armour to 80%. Shoot light armour twice perhaps since weapons using Whip's framework don't get blocks to show damage properly, could just be visual?

The Gatling guns are essentially overpowered versus any small grid anyway, so it is not a good comparison since I'm not taking them into consideration.

For the communities I'm involved in this mod has worked perfectly so yours may be a specific glitch. If it still doesn't damage right, delete the original mod .bin in your steam workshop downloads folder in your steam install, and redownload it :)

I barley know my calibers that much. But after testing this in combat against anything, but this can barley damage anything compared the stock Gatling gun in the game. From how i'm seeing it this can only be used against other players and for looks only. Light armor block shot test shows only 3% damage per shot to the block with one shot while the Gatling gun does 6% damage per shot.

@Mr Wanaskiwin Nowhere. AWG never uploads his blueprints to the workshop.

@Wolfphoenix3d All of AWG's guns are "block weapons". You must make the turret for it.

@MidnightBurst The plating isn't needed for the gun to actually function. It's more of a topside finishing layer (for creative, where traditional tank fights happen and gunsniping can happen, which the plating prevents) rather than a required component.

As an ammunition with a diameter of only 30mm, the penetration of the later model is only 51mm RHA.In the game, for a weapon with such a rate of fire, such penetration is obviously enough.The only problem is that the ammunition in the ammunition sense and the penetration effect of HEAT have not been reproduced.

If can add a splash when hitting any target, terrain, and adding a very small range of low-damage explosions after the penetration to reproduce HEAT, this weapon will be more complete and close to reality.But this is always the creation of the AWG, and everyone can only wait for him to make a decision whether to make a change.

Some of the comments in the comments that hurt the weapon too low are not correct.

In reality, this main gun uses an ammunition called HEDP (high-explosive dual-purpose).This type of ammunition can be used to combat anti-armor targets (attacking APCs and tank top armor) while still performing HEAT. It also has the ability to kill soft targets (infantry, exposed facilities and conventional vehicles).

And yes, custom ammo Skallabjorn, just '30mm M230 Clip' or something like that, it's actually done individually so one mag is one shell but that's more script related.

Roulette, like the others have said keep in mind the RPM, 600 shots per minute is very high, and this is best used versus infantry, other helo's, light armoured vehicles or tank sides/roofs.

It fires at 600 RPM, and has splash damage against engineers. It's already quite powerful against light armour, buffing it like that would be obscene.

Mate I think penetration of 0.5 blocks small grid light armour is a bit too weak, is it possible to upgrade it to at least a block?
