the pan ultimate ''ape throw rock'' weapon, absolutely incredible.

Wow nice!

Ok, piston jolts and wheel guns also work, I don't have any in my workshop though and I don't know if there's any on workshop that are ready to use.
The Outcast 28 May, 2020 @ 11:57pm
Piston Jolt Cannon?
Major Jon  [author] 28 May, 2020 @ 1:11pm
yeah, gravity generators don't work in natural gravity xD
The only clang guns that work on planets are rotor guns like this one.
You can't shoot very far with them though, cause ballistics and shit.

:::WARNING:::
I JUST put this on my capital ship & tested it in atmosphere.
It blew up over half my ship. This gun is ONLY GOOD for space.
That being said, Major, could you make something like this that's good for atmosphere or space?
OR, direct me to another one of your brilliant workshop items that already works in space & on planets?

thanks for made this! its very helpful to me :steamhappy:

I know, that's the biggest disadvantage of this gun, I just wanted to make it as simple as possible. This small version has all the features like a battery, a sensor trigger, can't be blocked by grav shields etc. But then again it only has small warheads and isn't nearly as destructive.

Very nice design, I ran into this while suscribed to the https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1980290680 but i did notice that the projectile has no battery and will despawn after 800m due to lack of power unless trash settings are changed. I've tried to add a battery around your design but it makes the projectile very innacurate. Will keep trying.

Again, very nice design, extremely deadly when I shot it within range.

@Major Jon Thank you very much.

What a pretty ship, I love it :steamhappy:
Firebird_528 10 Feb, 2020 @ 2:51am
So here I have it https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1992756540 , I hope you like the way I have build your gravity gun into my Artemis Corvette class!
Major Jon  [author] 2 Feb, 2020 @ 1:44pm
@Firebird Sure, thats what I made these for :D

@The Outcast I've tried a couple of approaches so far and it works, but it's not quite good enough for publishing yet. There's a couple of problems with it that I need to work out first to make it reliable enough. It's possible to attach and detach piston heads via a script just like a rotor, maybe I can use that to improve it somehow.
The Outcast 2 Feb, 2020 @ 1:14pm
Jon did you look into the Piston Jolt Cannon?
Firebird_528 2 Feb, 2020 @ 10:33am
Hey Jon I would like to use your gravity gun in one of my workshop items, I will put you in the credits of course, do I have your permission?
Major Jon  [author] 28 Dec, 2019 @ 6:11pm
Uuuuh, I didn't even know that was a thing, thanks for telling me. Looks pretty cool, I'll make one asap as long as they haven't patched it :hmm:
The Outcast 28 Dec, 2019 @ 5:41pm
Can you look into a Piston Jolt Cannon / Do you know how to build one?
Major Jon  [author] 11 Dec, 2019 @ 6:25am
Does the projector just loose the projection, when it's welded together? There was a bug [support.keenswh.com] about this, but I thought it was fixed. Maybe blueprinting the projectile, replacing the projector and selecting the blueprint again would help. The timers definitely can't be the problem, as the welders and projectors are just constantly turned on.
TeKniKaL 10 Dec, 2019 @ 7:43pm
I'm having an issue where despite having the components loaded (all not just steel plate) this wont re-weld after firing.
Checked the welders, they're on and loaded with components.
Checked the ownership, its all set to me.
Tried creating a new projectile projection with the same settings.
Tried in survival and creative.

Any idea?
Quickshadow10m 27 Nov, 2019 @ 8:46am
YES! I forgot! I was useing ur ship, GLadius, thx! btw it is OVERLY powerful
Major Jon  [author] 26 Nov, 2019 @ 6:31pm
Did you forget to turn off the main gravity generator on your ship? It will of course also affect the projectile, so you have to disable it for firing or adjust the range so it doesn't affect the gravity gun.
Also natural gravity disables all gravity generators so it will just fall down on planets.
Quickshadow10m 26 Nov, 2019 @ 6:18pm
hey, I put this on my ship, and it wen't down, not straigt, I put it a bit lower then the flight seat, maybe 5, but it went down, at ann angle my ship was not at, I did not case it, I just mounted it on bottom of ship, what should I do?
Merrick 22 Nov, 2019 @ 1:14pm
OK I will check, thank you and awesome little gun. Look forward to seeing it fire.
Major Jon  [author] 21 Nov, 2019 @ 2:17pm
Check if the projectile is a station, when the gun is a station, the projectiles might be one too and refuse to move. Also are you on a planet? Gravity generators don't work in natural gravity. Lastly did you make sure the projectile is not connected to your ship on the one side that is left open in the gun. I just realised I made a mistake in the screenshot with the green blocks, it will still be connected like that. I will update it immediately.
Merrick 21 Nov, 2019 @ 1:55pm
I put it on my ship, I hit trigger timer, and the warhead went yellow but nothing shot out. Did i do something wrong?
Lysander 20 Nov, 2019 @ 11:25am
This looks like a smaller version of my coilgun...
pickle 19 Nov, 2019 @ 6:46pm
lol
PatrioticLoyal 19 Nov, 2019 @ 4:27pm
you can call it the zero-point energy-manipulator if you REALLY want to. it's meant to deal with toxic stuff but we mainly use it for heavy lifting.
lechkingofdead 18 Nov, 2019 @ 7:39pm
im goignt o see this compare it to my speed bossted gav gun for i ahve a speed mod i run in my game that alows 1km/s speed so ya
Quickshadow10m 15 Nov, 2019 @ 7:24am
WOW, thanks Jon! I wish they could make small grid grav gens... Also, I had an idea the other day for a cool thing, have a to of artifical masses with batterys, like a swarm, and then shoot a self propeled grav perogectile, and they all follow! BIG damage!
