Subbed yesterday and today a faction successfully confederated in my ME Ironbrow's Expedition save. I have no conflicting mods. So it looks like it's not working fully, at least not on saves.

Yes. Provided you have no mod conflicts, accepting confederation via dilemmas will simply do nothing. This applies to the Empire, Greenskins, Norsca and Brettonia.

i would like to confederate maybe 1 or 2 factiosn myself but not the AI confederating

The way confederations have evolved over time has made them obnoxious. I think having them available as an option is a good idea, but they should be extremely difficult to achieve. They just happen left and right in the vanilla game now. Way too much. Thanks for this mod.

The mod comes up with a yellow triangle with the exclamation mark in it (I'm guessing this means it needs to be updated/uploaded for the silence and the fury DLC). If the mod had a green tick next to it it would mean it's working and we can use it. Unfortunately I can't upload a picture to show this.

Mod is working and has always been compatible with SFO. Check your other mods, especially if you have Recuit Defeated LL.

Sorry, haven't played Greenskins much before, however does this stop that one mechanic where if your playing a Greenskin faction and you take out an enemy chief/lord, all their territory won't go to you?

@aaronbear If the AI is confederating then you have a mod conflict. This mod prevents both player and AI from confederating. Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords is a common culprit.

Can you make a version that only disables the AI from confederating? I am sick of the Cult of Pleasure being down to its last settlement, only to confederate Karond Kar and end up with six more.

Hahah I haven't edited that description for a year. I'd forgotten about it. Anyway I'm inclined to agree, it's a travesty that a game so rich in characters and factions becomes a race to absorb them as quickly as possible into the same homogeneous superpowers.

"Balance". Bah! This game has balance? Personally I prefer it if factions can't confederate. I mean... as a player it's nigh impossible without certain events or beating the other faction into submission first, whilst the AI confederate left and right without issues. Thanks for this! ^_^

I've tested this mod by itself and not even the event driven confederations are possible. It all depends on what other mods you use.

Empire can do it via the Elector Counts mechanic, and the Greenskins can do it if they defeat another faction's leader. There might be others, but those are the only ones that still can in my experience.

I'm playing as wood elves and can't confederate with another elven faction through event. I guess when you said all factions, you really meant all factions, right? Joke on me; shouldn't have imagined things that aren't there. Other than that, good mod ':D

No, I really don't like "random" :) Instead, I am going to start a game this weekend with giving all the undead factions and Norsca +1 pr +2 boni. Since the auto-resolve is a bit slanted against them anyways, I thought this was a good place to start a test game.

Lampros have you noticed the new randomiser feature on Unnatural Selection? I know you said you were avoiding it when trying to stem the order tide, but randomised buffs could be interesting. I'm trying a Grom campaign at the moment and hoping it's challenging.

True dat. I prefer to use other mods to make the AI more of a challenge. Confederation always seemed like a lazy way to create end-game threats, and I find grinding fight after fight against massive empires to be the most boring part of the game.

I frankly think no confederation is "balanced," and it is the ability to confederate that is not balanced - especially on the hands of the AI! ;)

This mod will prevent Norsca and Greenskins from confederating through defeating faction leaders. If that is still happening then you have a mod conflict. Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords is a common reason

Can you make mod that disables deafeated lord doesn't confederate? Always annoying to see random norsca tribe gets to top so easily so fast.

Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords is not compatible with mods that disable confederation. Every faction can confederate at the moment, before the dlc in the diplomacy icon the option to confederate wouldn't be there, but it is now. The other mods I run work fine (No Alliances Mod, Recruit Defeated Leg Lords Mod and UI Mod Framework). Thank you for answering back.
