+ к прошлому комментарию: заметил что в моде также не хватает поддержки мода smoker, не занимают места только закрытые пачки обычных сигарет, все остальное может выпасть из инвентаря

Мод замечательный, я уже и не представляю свою игру в пз без него) Хотелось бы увидеть совместимость с патронами из Vanilla Firearm Expansion (а возможно и с другими модами), а то они выпадают из карманов, в отличие от ванильных. Автору желаю много мороженого (свежее) (замороженное)

Мод некорректно работает вместе с "Planetalgol's EVEN WORSE Looting" ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2463568911 ) - функционал мода сохраняется (предметы выпадают, если взять слишком много), но инвентарь становится ванильным и не отображает количество карманов и предметов.

can you add a submod that removes the back and belt item slots? (back slot returns when any backpack is equipped)

I post this cople monts ago on pz suggestions so i copied and phatse it here.


I heard leatly about change where you can't put things above 5kg in backpacks. So i come up with carrying mechanic.

So we all know how carrying works in pz, we can carry a big amout of light items fe: cereals. You can carry in your inventory 50 packs of cereals with no cloths, or 50 empty cups. It doesn't sounds realistic so i come up with second stat of items: SIZE.

Size will be how much items you can carry/contain and wheight is how hard it will be to carry those items.

With that you can't put items biger that container into container fe: baseball bat into backpack. You can put a hamer or metal pipe into backpack becose backpack is bigger. Same with containers like shelf, you can't put sledgehamer into shelf.

Also if you don't have any clothes, to carry things you need to use hands. The more pocets you have then more you can carry in inventory.

This mod contains an old version of this mod.

I can add sandbox option. But not now. Too busy / lazy.
If you play solo, just remove weight_overhaul.lua

Can you make a hardcore version of this that doesn't change the weight of cans? I love the concept and execution, the way the sounds play when stuff drops, etc, but I don't wanna make things lighter.

Would you ever consider making it so you cant carry bags/toolboxes in your inventory at all?

like picking them up automatically equips them in secondary/primary slot

maybe empty trash bags, but i still wish pz was a bit more realisitic in this regard.

I think tool boxes and big bags specificially feels wrong to hold in inventory.

Appears to be incompatible with Brita’s weapons mod (and probably other gun mods as well). My character keeps dropping bullets while reloading.

That aside, I am really enjoying the mod! Excellent work! This should totally be a sandbox option in the base game!!

This mod is going to look awesome when the items are given full objects. Already, I find I leave a trail of non-useful things behind me that I would otherwise keep, like dirty bandages and empty cans, as well as kitchen stuff. Now it gets littered behind me in a fashion that will remind me of my previous adventures when I stumble upon them again.

A suggestion, if you're interested:

I'd really love to see pants become containers though, with about the same capabilities as a fanny pack, though perhaps with better weight reduction. I'd also like to see baggy jeans get a little extra space and would love to see the addition of cargo pants.

idea: tons of little objects in a bag? = chance to unpack a wrong item, so if you unpack everything theres no trouble, but if you look for a specific small object in a full bag you could end up unpacking the wrong small item

hey man, love ur mod. What do you think about implementing 'x' amount of items in bag restricition? Because realistically with your mod weight I can put wayyyy too much medicines in bag in game. But IRL sure medicines arent heavy but they are bulky.

Mark important items as favorites. ;)

In the mod there is the priority system like: favorite > weapon > other stuff. I don't remember how it works exacly but it's smart enough, not just random drop.

Right now, with the mod, when your inventory is full a random item you're carrying drops on the ground, what can make you lose good items without noticing it.

Not being able to carry an item with the inventory full, at least forces you to open both your inventory and the container to think about what it's important, so you need to manage your inventory while being careful with your six, because of zombies and etc.

And there is the fact that the camera don't move, so you can lose items that drop behind a furniture. And since the floor is not prioritize when you're looting, is not really intuitive.

Also it's kinda of realistic, because is like the character thinking "Well, I can't carry that."

I agree but it will be hard to implement in Project Zomboid. You know, items have only weight in this game (actually weight + volume in one number). Even so, most of the game consists of sorting items.

In general, to sort items (without moving), you can move them all to your inventory, and then decide what to throw away. It seems to me that this is better than if they cannot be moved to the inventory at all.

Also, not allowing you to add more items in the inventory instead of dropping this would be so much better, because you always dropping important things without noticing. :S

hey, the problem with compatibility with this mod and superb survivors(well its about indicator 'BMM') when ever there is another survivor(hostile or not does not matter) near your zone(map cell) indicator starts to blink. Double checked it on an empty field with no npc near me, the indicator was fine, but when i manually spawned one, it started to blink, then killed the npc and it become normal once again.

Its not that big of a problem but sadly this blinking start to rly annoy after some time. Yes you can turn off the inventory(but its just uncomfortable to play like that) or turn off superb survivors(which is also not that good of idea(coz surv is good addition to 'flora and fauna' of enemy 'mobs' in the game that makes mid game a bit more interesting)).

Видел такое в сплит режиме. И еще говорили, что прыгает с модом на survivors. Потом попробую разобраться.

Знать бы точно, какие условия приводят к проблеме, чтобы воспроизвести её у себя... :) В целом, как я понял, случается это редко и в целом не критичная проблема.

Неожиданно отлагало, даже и не заметил когда именно. Хотя ничего не делал и игру после первого перезапуска не перезапускал больше. :Ophelia:

Не знаю в чём проблема, может идёт конфликт с другим модом. Начал новую игру, всё было нормально, но как только я надел походную сумку началась пляска цифр с буквами. В том месте где у тебя на скрине (BMM .79). Причём без разницы, персонаж может быть абсолютно голым и это будет продолжаться.

I'd like to update the mod to use ScriptManager, so it will be compatible with most major/cosmetic updates of the game. I'm new in this API zone, so I'm not sure if it's better. So I will update the mod tomorrow, not today.

Hello, I really like your mod and the changes to the inventory makes sense in my opinion. pockets make sense because if you aren't holding certain items in your hands(primary or secondary) and your pockets are full then how are you technically holding them?

However, recently with the new update (41.35) which added the ability to see certain bags in your primary or secondary hand and this mod have made it so my duffel bags do not appear anymore. I haven't tested it with any other bags only that the bags model returns after i disable your mod.


If you could please update it so that the model shows up in your hands i would really appreciate it as i said, this mod makes sense.
