i have a cool taunt idea for this character. whenever you crouch down and do the down taunt the character should be able to kneel down to a statue of loxodont but when your in a stage that has loxodont in it the statue shouldnt be there.

Looking back on this character now, it's a shame that there isn't a similarly reworked variant for Zetterburn. He could benefit greatly from something more interactive with his gameplay mechanics.

I played this character a lot and it's very good, however you need time and commitment to learn how to use their tools because when I started, I was loosing to cpus and I killed with grab+f smash at around 170%

Just played against a good Mechlair for my first time. Some notes:
•I really like the UpSpecial. It cements Mechlair's niche, in my mind.
•Parrying the energy orb should put into extended parry stun. If not always, then at least when parrying the recall. That move can be really oppressive, so making the punish rewarding is big.
•Something about Jab feels really janky. Not sure what it needs, but I think it has to do with the small/non-existent knockback and hitstun. Sorry I'm not being more helpful on that front.

Just wanted to mention that clairen's side special sends her slightly up in the air to account for ledges. I don't know if that was an intentional change or not, but just figured I'd mention it bc it makes her recovery a bit worse

For those worried: Mechlair version 1.0, with all sprites completed, will be released very soon. With this release, we will officially consider her a "Finished" character. Patches for balancing and the like will of course be done as time progresses, with the hope of being considered an Extended Workshop curated character. Thank you all for the support thus far, and look forward to a more polished and complete Mechlair in the very near future.

please fix the sprites, some moves are using normal Clairen sprites and it seems lazy and unfinished.

Pretty great mod, even though sprites are clearly unfinished. I love the way she plays, and down B is a pretty neat tool. Does feel kinda weak, i'd say buff the knockback on her smash attack sweet spots, but great and fun character nonetheless!

why does every time i see a character it's better than the last one
like, this is better than most chars of the original cast
and it isn't like the other creators (Muno) that rely heavily on stun

Congrats on the really well made character! Its super exciting to see some echo fighters with more originality than just being an echo. I love the ball play you can do with the down B, very fun to mess around with. My only critique is that the ball is launched at a weirdly awkward angle. Like it's still a fine move but to hit toward an opponent in straight is front of you on ground level you have to double jump down air it to get an angle on grounded opponents. To give more versatility to the move maybe allowing you to choose the angle at which it goes? Like straight in front of you or right above you or even behind and at different angles. Same startup time and original launch distance of the ball, but just more options for the player. I don't expect you to see this, but if you do i hope it doesn't come across as bashing your creation, i love the way this character feels and plays. You've done a wonderful job and i hope to see more from you in the future.

Down-B is completely different. Neutral-B, F-Air and Up-B have some big differences, too.

the reason is that coding-wise. Mechlair's complete. but she still needs some spriting in some moves. the portrait's also not fully finished yet as you can see.

i love this take on clairen but i would say i wonder why the mask appears when you do stuff like : basically any of her specials : or taunt? did you just make a ton of custom attack sprites for clairen and got the idea to make this? i just wanna know?

I think this choice doesn't fit the heart of Rivals of Aether at all. Actually i never thought someone would want to reduce combos and prevent rushdown playstyles lol, this take is quite surprising to be honest. Encouraging hit and run playstyles is super weird to me cause combos and heavy punishes is an important aspect of what makes the game unique.

If i didn't convinced you, try to ask some other players what they think about this. I like your character's concept and visuals, i would love to see it become as good as possible.

Can you explain the reason of this change ?
