Also to get the file right click on the playermodel in the PM menu and choose copy to clipboard, it'll give you the path

For those who this doesn't work for, the config file will not generate until you launch a map with the mod installed, might be the problem for you

i cant find it but there is something that makes your pm more realistic like health , view and speed and also if your very small you can go inside little objects and i can remember the thumbnail of it but i cant remember the name so i need abit of help finding that

Can you do one for speed scaling? I'm making a deathmatch modpack and it would really add some interesting balance.

That's right. It'll probably still work, but be warned that I haven't touched this addon in years, and I'm not really in a position to fix it if it doesn't.

There is no phs_playermodel_health.txt. in data. Do I manually create it myself?

Just tested it out, it was not the putting manual models thing it was exclusively me testing it out by forcing my model midmatch. That was the only issue lol

Update on the issue

It seems that the reason the mod did not work was partially because of me not manually putting the models in the server (since all my models were just automatic workshop downloads), along with me testing it out by forcefully changing model in the middle of the match.
The reason might entirely be me testing it midmatch but either way I'm happy I got it to work.

Posting this here just in case someone else messes up in the same way I did, lol

I'm running TTT with a decent amount of PlayerModels and Weapons in it, but the only extra addons I have are Noxx's Extra Roles, Enhanced Camera (Along with your fix for it), and your Playermodel Health Scaling

I already attempted to troubleshoot with and without those addons mentioned above, but I still get the error.
I tried adding the scaling code to both my GarrysMod files along with the server's files, but it still does not consider SetMaxHealth as a known value.

Playermodels from other Source engine games are packaged in those other games and aren't stored in your Garry's Mod installation. Playermodels installed from the workshop are packaged in your addons folder as .gmad files and to access them you'll need to extract them using gmad.exe (GarrysMod/bin/gmad.exe).

As for your error, I'm surprised to see that, as all entities should have that property. What gamemode are you running?

I have two questions.

Where exactly are the models located in your GarrysMod folder? All I can find are the model's icons and nothing else.
And even if I found them, every time I try to start up the mod I get the error "lua/autorun/playermodel_health_scaling.lua:48: attempt to call method 'SetMaxHealth' (a nil value)" Any clue why I'm getting this error?

See the addon description. You need to manually set health values for models in a text file, this won't automatically pick health for you.

my PM is tails... and I'm short as if I were a midget and a dwarf combined. why am I still at 100 health? is it the tails? they're kinda thicc.

File is automatically generated now at GarrysMod/garrysmod/data/phs_playermodel_health.txt if it doesn't already exist. Please edit this one and then restart Garry's Mod or use the phs_restart command. Hope this helps!

There's no phs folder in the data folder. Am I missing something?
