If this guy's armour reinforce to 90 and have bronze shield(block 20%) like swordmasters of hoeth, i will always use these guys instead of hoeth.
I've noticed that your thread and stats image have outdated info, the unit has now 5850 of health instead of 7800 and other stuff. Please, can you update the info?
Also, I have a lore-friendy balance request. Can you decrease Melee Defence to 37, increase Charge Bonus to 26, and add Vanguard Deployment to compensate the unit's smaller amount of health and armor? So with those changes, even if they are Swordmasters, they will be more true to the Shadow units and to Alith Anar's guerrilla warfare.
Thank you
@Hazard beautiful screenshots as always :D
Alith Anar is one badass High Elf, more than Tyrion if you ask me :D
please anyone could resize the new explosive squig, as a colossal squig, don´t mind if it´s explosive or not
Now I was wondering, if this unit get approved by the public, would you consider making a Loremaster of Nagarythe in the future?
Feedback from users is the best way to improve!
Thanks for having consideration. And sorry if I somehow sounded insensitive about your efforts, that wasn't my intention of course. I'll keep up to this, looks promising :)
After some play testing yesterday I did realise the vanguard made them far too powerful so will be removing this. I'm also planning to make it so they need an armoury of Level 2 or a higher tier building like the Swordmasters of Hoeth require as well as a level 3 barracks. I am still tweaking their cost and upkeep but may increase it to 1250 or 1300 and upkeep to 300.
In regards to melee defence I decreased it because they were too strong against other greatsword units, but if I increase cost and upkeep I may increase it to 41/42. I may also reduce their speed by 1 or 2 points to better reflect them being a heavier infantry unit than other Nagarythe Stalk units, but still have it higher than other heavy infantry units.
I love your idea and reasoning behind removing arrow deflecting Victor, so shall implement this too!
Thanks again for the advice, it is greatly appreciated. Updates are to follow! :)
So with such speed, they will build momentum and wouldn't be capable to concentrate into deflectings the enemy arrows then. We have to remember that Arrow-Deflecting training is condemned by many of the superior officials, it's even written in their unit description.
That's all I can imagine for now... Besides that, this looks interesting, looking forward to it :)
The Stalk attribute combined with Vanguard Deployment will make them too overpowered imo... Maybe it's best to remove the Vanguard Deployment, since they're a tougher, heavier/slower unit if compared to the other Stalk units from Nagaryth.
And why changing Melee Defence though? If they're going to have that much of a parry, then maybe raising their cost and unkeep to compensate that should do.
