Maybe they were expecting to release it as 10 dollar DLC at some point.
It kind of feels silly, for example, in siege defenses they are just oberving the wall being taken and aren't allowed to do anything about it, or in siege attacks you have to act like vultures around the wall, instead of just storming.
I'm not debating wether or not its broken or op, but take into account they'd still have the same unit count.
I tried to use O'neil workaround, but even by cloning the "wh_main_brt_cha_lord_2" line and renaming it to just "_lord" in the end, it makes the game crash.
I'm versus some vampires in Bretonnia tho. Maybe it's them who makes my game crash, idk. But you should try to add a workaround when your mod doesn't have the files to dismount a lord, by forbidding it to dismount. This way, it should be compatible with other mods too.
For example, "wh_main[...]alberic_de_bordeleaux" is set up to spawn the on foot version in the column "Spawned Unit" : "wh_dlc07_brt_cha_alberic_bordeleaux_0"

Except.. When my brt lord jumped off his flying mount, he then became a female wizard of beasts haha.. After the battle he was himself again. Any idea if I did somethign wrong? I just cloned rows in each of your tables and added these names in?

I'm using a bunch of mods, plsu SFO, and there are some tomb king battles that I fight manually that have been crashing. Seems like if I disable this mod they work. I can't really see what kind of lord it is. Says cavalary and has a few different mounts it could be on.
Actually its annoying but it does what we need like having our mount and if its siege dismount or if we need more frontline keep the mount if not dismount for more damage :
(i take those exemple with the vampire coast in mind like the gunner heroe does more damage on foot but is freaking tanky and good on melee with the rotting promethean keeping the ability to shot with honorable damage too)
Btw it's sad but keep in mind that CA is too retarded to implement features like this or keep good features so...no choice.
I disabled MOD in Manager and then save games will not load...
Detailed description of your issue:
When loading certain battles the game crashes. Earlier in the campaign I could not load a fight in Lyoness and had to autoresolve against the Greenskins. However, I did fight many other battles in the Wasteland against Norsca and Marienburg. Then I tried to fight Norsca in Courone and it crashed upon loading the battle. Each time it was the only times I used the normal bretonnian lord.
Reproduction steps:
Select "fight battle"
I have plenty of mods, however I try not to mod battles too heavily. When I removed battle dismounting I was able to fight the battle as it loaded without crashing.

I tested in battle with a Wintertooth army that made it crash previously, it work now, thanks !
I still cant load a campaing save if the mod is disabled, though, but it's ok if the mod doesnt break the game anymore, I will just keep it.
I will give it a try, but it's a bit hard because it didn't crash automatically after inclusion, but some 5 turns later.
Crash was defending Fort Bergrbes, defending as KF against the purple Chaos Faction.
I eventually reverted to a savegame before having dismounting installed, no more crashes.

Bugs that caused crashes should now also be fixed as now you can now only use the ability once the battle started.

Just tried it with Wulfrik and Archaon, works fine for me. I can also load both saves created with and without the mod just fine.
