No, there probably won't be any updates, at least not any time soon, the dev moved on to make a mod for Gates of Hell which you can check out on the discord.
Frontlines does not work period
To spawn units in skirmish you need to choose a multiplayer scenario, they're usually self-explanatory but there's a thread with them in discussions as well.
If you reload a save, those same three groups vanish, everytime without fail, even if you haven't completed the first objective(rendering the mission impossible to complete as you have no units).
Also, when that same timer comes down to around 8 minutes left, the game always crashes for me, without fail, due to what I can only speculate is the game trying to spawn something and failing to do so.
I did re-install the game and re-download the mod before doing these tests, it's the only mission with such problems.
glad you enjoyed!
If more missions get added I will definetly return for a re-play.
For the second irish mission, I could do some more runs to see if these problems repeat themselves as I only experienced each of them on separate attemps.
On the Honduran mission, yes I entered the town and suburbs, had to burn most of the buildings down with molotovs(always fun to do) to clear the garrison. Wiped out both formations at the end of the map with mortars and machine-gun fire. Don't know if it is relevant but the objectives never specified locations on the map other than in writing, so maybe something bugged out as I never restarted the scenario from the start.
As for the Second mission, that's an AS2 thing at it's finest. Reloading saves is like playing russian roulette but all cylinders are loaded bar one.
As for the Honduran mission- did you enter both the town and suburb with your troops? If I remember correctly you have to hold both, and there is also an enemy line formation near the enemy side of the border there.
On the first IRA mission, IRC guards in the town immediatly detect the IRA on the house and go after them, emptying the town and auto-completing the "Clear the Town" objective, escalating the scenario before the player is ready(managed to complete it exploiting the AI).
The second Irish mission has two problems: If you reload a save your starting units vanish and the first objective of counter-attacking the IRA re-appears during the IRA assault and immediatly fails, ending the scenario on a loss.
On the honduran scenarion I killed every enemy(scoured the map a couple of times to make sure) and neither objective completed.
For the people having a hard time getting into this mod (Looking at you Estonian Farms) a couple of tips:
This mod makes a shooting back and forth really deadly even in cover, expect casualties in a 1 to 1 engagement. Always try to get advantages when engaging the enemy, think fire superiority.
Due to the period's warfare tactics many scenarios will have the enemy attempting human wave attacks, these can easily overwhelm a unprepared defense, in the open a well placed machine gun will halt such advances. In cramped spaces such as urban areas, creating kill zones with mortar fire and rifles will usually keep the enemies from rushing with too many numbers.
And most importantly, expect to restart scenarios a couple of times, battles are hard and going in blind will most likely mean you will mess up positioning, get caught off-guard, etc.
ya really gotta navigate the boat through gently which is the idea, but if it makes you feel better the moment you peek that corner with the boat, there's a Felicista field gun usually licking its lips looking at it lol.
Also, in the mexican revolution scenario I managed to win by using the small boat MG to provide cover for human wave tactics. But when organizing the troops before the attack, the main big boat glitched out and the sailors and the boat's artillery piece simply fell into the river rendering them unusable for the entire fight, I don't know of that is a recurring problem or me being a dumbass should have just left the boat alone and controled it without messing with the crew.
at least you don't have mutinying Indian troops like he did ha!
@Vocaloid Rannryuu Cheers, enjoy!
@a goblin cheers, glad you enjoy!
Unless I'm mistaken on my part, in order to be able to talk about "war", there must be at least 2 belligerents...
I didn't know that the emu had raised troops !
LOL !
