any chance of a version that also makes them like 30% their normal size? i hate how big they are and how much room they take up. I wish this game had attila size ones tbh lol

I was like 10-15% of the way done and then I lost my working files and gave up on it for a few months. I'll try again this winter. Maybe I'll skip the normal and specular maps this time, since banners don't need them all that much, anyway.

There's gotta be a better/faster way to do this, than eraser tool masking each .dds and manually exporting in photoshop, one-by-one. It's agonisingly slow work.

Does this work with [HN] Banner Mod?

Is there progress being made on bringing this to WH3?

I'm giving it a try now. Looks like it might take months of work, given how much I need to learn, as well as extensive changes to database structure and asset formats. Every banner now needs 5 extra versions per faction, in addition to the base .dds, times some 300 factions.

@randy Problem is, even if I really wanted to port the mod over right now I simply can’t, due to the fact that I don’t own WH3 yet.

@Matthew39 Immortal Empires is out and it's more than we've hoped for. Even with double the map size and factions, it performs better than Mortal Empires ever did (end turn times, etc). There's no more reason to stay on game 2.

The only thing that's missing is this awesome banner overhaul.

I know it might not be most elegant solution, but since I'll not buy WH3 for foreseeable future, and also the fact that I don't have much time to spend learning more about modding because of my studies, I want to give a chance to someone to potentially give people what they want earlier.

Hey guys! I want to apologize for the lack of communication for many months. Unfortunately Steam sucks ass when it comes to sending me notifications about new comments on my workshop stuff, so I had no idea there were so many new comments. It's partially my fault too, since I wasn't properly playing WH2 for quite a few months now, only occasionally checking mod updates and stuff like that. My idea was that I'll wait until Workshop support and Immortal Empires for WH3 drop, then I'll buy the game and port all of the mods into it + try to make ones for the new races/factions. Unfortunately, seeing the current situation (aka IE not being playable until Q3 2022, and only a beta), I'm not seeing myself buying WH3 for a few months more.

Hey, I'm wondering if by any chance you'd be willing to update this to Warhammer 3 after the Workshop is released tomorrow? I don't know if you're up for adding in the flags for the new factions and all but I got very used to using this for Warhammer 2 and it'd be a shame to lose such a great mod in the transition.
