@ Moose626 - sorry to disappoint but I won't be releasing any other version of this map. If you want to load a less detailed version of the map then only subscribe to some of the mods/assets in the collection. The map will work regardless of what you subscribe to, you'll just be missing details here and there if you don't subscribe to everything. That said, Network Extensions is possibly the more important mod to subscribe to, else you may lose your road connection into the start square.

Can you make a version of this map that doesn't require so many mods
Hooper  [autor] 26 OCT 2020 a las 3:33
@ Liquighost - very strange that road/rail are missing as they are almost all vanilla - sounds like a more fundamental issue - have you tried unsubscribing from everything and loading the map with only those mod/assets listed in the collection?
Liquighost 23 OCT 2020 a las 22:24
i set up the banff spring theme and reloaded the save after the first time loading but trees and roads/train tracks are still missing and i get a lot of errors when loading in even tho i've got every item subscribed to what do?

oh shit, that's my backyard!

@apelsin7 - yes, changing the base environment will change the default tree/s. You can use a mod like Prop It Up to replace trees globally. Make sure to read the comments for this mod as it has some peculiarities!
apelsin7 28 ABR 2020 a las 20:01
I changed the base theme of the map to temperate climate. But among the pines appeared green deciduous trees. What can I do if I want to play using other basic themes (not Europe)??.
And see only pines on the map (like your default in Europa base theme)

@Sunpig700 - issues with Surface Painter may be due to 81 Tile mod problem mentoned in the description - just save/reload the game. If you have Unlimited Trees mod installed, enabled and with the slider set to 6, you should be able to place plenty more trees.
Sunpig700 26 FEB 2020 a las 6:16
Nice map! noticed that i cant paint the ground in some areas and no more tree planting or add more! all good!

@MaximusSupremus - glad you got it all working, enjoy your build. :)
MaximusSupremus 19 ENE 2020 a las 13:08
your right, nothing to it.
MaximusSupremus 19 ENE 2020 a las 13:05
thanks man, your awesome
Hooper  [autor] 19 ENE 2020 a las 3:47
@MaximusSupremus - don't worry, you don't need to know how to use Theme Mixer to use my map. Just how to load the 'mix', which is very easy!

I've added some instructions to the Springtime in Banff Theme Mix page, hope these help!

MaximusSupremus 18 ENE 2020 a las 17:20
Hooper, so i have never used theme mixer before, is it easy to use?
i really want to use this map soo bad, and yes i am intimidated. am i just
being a puss? :)
Hooper  [autor] 16 ENE 2020 a las 10:30
@ Robesao - Also, check that you are subscribed to the themes and LUT's used by the theme mix. Maybe also check that you've not overwritten the local version of the theme mix, maybe try to unsub and resub?
Hooper  [autor] 15 ENE 2020 a las 15:35
@Robesao - I didn’t use Daylight Classic when making this map or when taking any of the screen shots. I did heavily rely on Ultimate Eyecandy to get the lighting right though. Using Theme Mixer 2 means you don’t have to select a base theme during load. Just select the Springtime in Banff Theme Mix while in game. Note that you may have to fiddle with the global and ambient lighting in Ultimate Eyecandy to get things looking natural. I’ve found that loading a new mix while in game can initially make things looked very bright.

You may also want to fiddle with the longitude and latitude settings in Theme Mixer, in the theme mix they are set to the actual co-ords of Banff, which can make the lighting seem a bit off when you’re setting the lighting in Ultimate Eyecandy. Hope you get the map looking how you want! :)

Noob question. I managed to get the truly amazing looks of this map just once. I tried to change the base theme (other than european) and now I can't get it to look as before, even after switching back to European and starting a new game. My question is: Do I need to select a specific theme before starting the game or must it be set to "none"? Do I need to use Daylight Classic and change any settings? or do I just use all default settings and apply the Banff Theme Mix?

@svw1978 - You can download all assets/mods in one go by visiting the 'Springtime in Banff Collection' (see link above) and clicking on the 'Subscribe to all' button.

Waarom moeten er van alles nog erbij gedownload worden. Is het mogelijk om een kant en klare map te maken ?
Cities Insane 3 ENE 2020 a las 7:01
I saw it today an BonBonB and fall suddenly in love with this map...
Sehr schön....

@Bringer of Fire - thanks for the positive comments, love your maps!

Calgary Resident here. Looks good. My pic is at Lake Minnewanka
Hooper  [autor] 24 DIC 2019 a las 14:45
@ignacz - on some of the shots I used CubeMap Replacer which requires Relight, not sure how much that affects the graphics. On other shots I just used Sharp Textures and Tree LOD Fix. I mostly just use Ultimate Eyecandy to alter the suns position to get some realistic looking shadows and lighting, I didn’t spend a huge amount of time on screenshots to be honest, lol.
ignacz 24 DIC 2019 a las 12:51
Those shots of the treescape look amazing! Were any graphic mods used?
Hooper  [autor] 24 DIC 2019 a las 6:39
@jonnyevans321 - this looks like an issue with 81 Tiles mod, if you save/exit/reload it should be fixed. Hope that sorts it for you.
jonnyevans321 23 DIC 2019 a las 17:13
Hey, lovely map, but when I came to place zones, zones in some areas are invisible (they can be built upon but the zone grid lines are invisible). This only happens in part of the map, there is a large invisible rectangle where this happens. Am I missing something? Thanks
Hooper  [autor] 23 DIC 2019 a las 13:43
@Kuba1984, thanks for the feedback, glad you like the map, it’s a beautiful part of the world.
