A lot of people seems to have the issue where avatars just stop spawning in. Ive been at this same fight for about three hours and had to take several breaks to go donsomething else. And Im still waiting for four avatars :s
Really enjoy the idea though! If you can get it to work this mod is gonna be great

Somehow it's the only mod that I can't add to any collection (favorites works fine). Every time "something went wrong" steam message shows up.

Excuse me but I am about to play XCOM 2 and I need to know if this mod is going to work, seeing all the comments of it not working.

I just "finished" an iornman run with this mod and beta strike on. The fight dragged on for so long (better part of a hundred ayys killed if you count andromedon shells and codex clones) that the game started to just manage to chug along from trying to render all the bodies.

Eventually my pc gave up and the game crashed when trying to spawn another pod. Save was gone. The game broke before my squad did. I'll call it a win, seeing as the squad was mostly intact at the time.

The avatar spawning didn't break for me (though I think that's mostly because I only got through 7) and beta strike is a HORRIBLE idea to pair this with, it's fun as hell. Really hope you manage to fix it.

It probably needs some bugfixes on the mission side for it to work properly, and that entire block of code is a mess to deal with.

I'll probably de-list this item for the time being until I fix that on the mission side.

Has anyone ever got this mod to work? I'm currently stuck at 6 avatars out of 10. Just normal waves show up.

This mod did not work properly for me. I've had the countdown start at 10, but after killing 3 of them, the fourth didn't show up. For a few turns I've been killing normal groups that appears, but for quite a bit of turns Avatars didn't show up. What could be the problem..?

yo, can we get a mod that IF the chosen are still alive wait for it . . . . . . . they ALL join in on the fortress assault in the final room? Just to punish you if you didn't hunt them down and kill them?

I'm on legendary difficulty with 3 avatars remaining, but they wont spawn. Judging by the comments I might be shit outta luck here. :psi:

Think I'm having the same bug of being stuck at 4 avatars remaining. Also using Increase Pod Size by force level

ok just got back into my save and no luck just kept spawning secopods and gatekeepers then restarted the lvl and the avatars spawned 2 times every other turn then ceased resulting with the same 5 killed 4 remaining restarting with new seed might help

also im certain i dont have conflicting mods as this is the only mod i have that alters avatars and the last mission

ill try with new seed if no luck ill unsub then try and resub after

i ended up just saving where i was and leaving havent had the time to get back to it due to work but i gonna jump on soon

also idk how to start from the beginning without using the console command and for sure dont know how to start from the 1st part towards the end

if this happened any other time id just say fuck it and restart the game completely but im gunning for the achievement for never buying the squad upgrades

You'll have to restart the Showdown part for the new changes to take effect. Either restart the entire mission, or go back to the point in the other mission where you almost eliminated all aliens.

i think this mod is broken or its not compatible to add mid game (even though it shows kill 9 avatars in the final mission)

so im in the final mission and killed the first avatar and 4 more spawned (2 per pod as mod says) once i killed them not a single one has spawned since for like 20+ turns is this normal???

Because of "scripts" and how the mission is set up I find it incredibly unlikely that Waterworld can be replaced without screwing the game up, especially on modded campaigns

I feel 7 is too many for rookie. Maybe have rookie be the default 3, and scale up from there?

Thanks for making this. I've been looking for mods that increase the difficulty of the final boss fight, and while Golden Path Missions Revamped does a great job of mixing up the pods that spawn in (including letting pod size mods affect them), I've been missing something for the avatars themselves since there are so few mods that alter them.
This mod together with the one that makes chosen and avatars crit immune should do the trick.

So the game won't screw up if I mess with the text file? Because I modded the Avatars to have over 100 health in my game due to large squad size.
